The food was very good and the service was just excellent. The restaurant is a little run down inside, but it seems like a sign of the times and economy. I will go back, nice to go to a locally owned place.

We went on a weekend with a party of 3. There weren’t any open tables, but it only took 10 minutes to be seated. The staff was very friendly. I had one of their specials. It was a scramble that had chorizo in it. It was very flavorful. Our waiter came by often to check on us and refill our drinks. We’d definitely come back again.

Let's start with no kid menu. Who doesn't have a kid menu in this day and age. They also didn't have a restroom. We walked in and they said pick a seat, so we sat ourselves at a booth. Someone came by and dropped menus and said they would be back. We sat there for five minutes but we were ignored. I tried to make eye contact with a server and no one even looked my way. I asked my wife if we should just go somewhere else, and it turned out she wasn't happy with this restaurant either. I would like to state that I have never walked out of an astablishment before. This was they first time I have actually left a restaurant I wanted to try out. I rated the atmosphere and service, but I never tried the food, so it wouldn't be fair to rate it good or bad. We were on a trip for the weekend, so we won't be coming back here again.

It was pure luck and chance that we went here. After church service, I wanted to take the boys somewhere nice, so I typed in a Google search and this came up as one of the options. After going over all the options, I decided --Chubby's. One of the first things I noticed were some people standing and sitting outside. When we went in to see how long the wait would be, we could see that every seat was taken. Those folks outside were waiting for a seat. Normally who likes to wait? But at the same time, what does it say about a place when people are willing to wait :-) I told the boys we're going to Wait and be patient. We only waited about 10-12 minutes. We talked and hung out and the people were nice. Our table was ready, we went inside.The atmosphere inside is so good. The service is amazing, and everybody is so engaging. Basically I felt like I was visiting family. I would have waited an hour for that kind of experience if I had to. Especially nowadays with opportunities of kindness more far and few between to show my boys. I was proud that they could see an example of people socializing and conversing and being very nice and kind of each other. All walks of life we're sitting down enjoying food. People that looked like they could have worked for tech companies all the way to people that looked like they could have been part of a biker club. I'm a veteran, and there were people that fit that description as well. The food was absolutely delicious. My sons couldn't believe how good their burgers were. And we were surprised to see that it wasn't on some cheap bun, they used really nice artisan bread for the burgers. I had chicken fried steak and eggs and it was exceptional. And man oh man, I'm so excited to find a place that has true steak fries! I'm talking about those big huge ones. Not wedges... steak fries! Yum. One of my sons ordered half steak fries half onion rings and they accommodated. We'll be coming here again. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner all day. If you're going to eat out, what better way to do so then at a place where the food, people and service are equally exceptional! :-) Cheers!

Anyone that tries to give the staff less than 5 stars is just being a negative Nancy! From the moment you walk in your greeted by literally everyone on the staff. And not bc they have to, you can tell. Food prices were amazing! I felt like I was back in the days before all this inflation.🤣 Food was fresh and hot and quick. We will be back!!it’s now became a staple for us. Thank you everyone at Chubbys 💕

Glenn and Jason are the best. You are greeted when you walk in with a warm smile. They make sure you feel right at home. Such a pleasant place to eat.

Old school Chubby's Diner blast from the past. We like coming here for breakfast it's a classic. The daily specials are always good and sure to fill you up. I love their coffee too. Ultimate omelette is an excellent menu choice for the mushroom lover. And I always love when they do the Mexican scramble in the daily specials. Location isn't huge, only 10 tables and 8 counter seats. So there might be a little wait on a busy morning. Enjoy! 🥓🍳🥞☕🥐

This was a nice place! I stopped in here the other day for some breakfast. The food and the service were excellent! I encourage you to check it out tge next time you are in the Roseville area!

Posting mainly in response to Ted’s review. First off: they DO have a kids menu: it’s listed in the regular menu. And they DO have a restroom, it’s just not for the public. If you’re a customer it’s available to you. This place is a good, traditional diner, with friendly staff and decent food. It’s a small, inexpensive place so you might wait an extra five minutes but considering everything costs five bucks less and it’s locally run I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It’s not the best food I’ve ever had but if you don’t like something they’re super nice about it and will fix you something else. If you’re wanting some classic diner food and good prices I would recommend.

Great little small diner. The food came out in just a few minutes. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was delicious; make sure you order a side with it. The service was amazing, super friendly and my coffee was never empty. I will definitely be back.

The service at Chubby's was phenomenal! Everyone was working so hard to make sure the customers were happy; tables were cleared off and made available quickly, the waitresses were friendly and attentive, they were so busy but still made sure we had everything we needed. The waitress even made sure I got a cup of coffee to go because she could see I was worn out dealing with my wild child. It's a very small restaurant so there was a line of people waiting to be seated but they stayed and waited which really tells you it's worth it. It's so nice to find a cute little diner with good food and treats people well!

Cool little 50's style diner with great food, service,and the prices are good. Not far off I80. We love it.

What a fantastic experience! My 3 cheese omellet was perfect! The custard was set, choked full of ooey gooey melty cheese. My mouth is watering and I'm not even hungry! Hottness had the ultimate omellet and really enjoyed it. Wow, such great service. Thanks guys. You're truly awesome. Didn't make us take out a second mortgage. Great American classic fare, competative prices, but the Service is reason enough to come. These guys are The Best! Recommend? Strongly!

The coffee is the best. The food is great and prepared fast. Miss when there are no pies. Miss dinner specials but breakfast and lunch is still the best in the city. Even if they are busy I will call in my order and pick it up just to have their food.

First time there and place is really small so definitely not for a big Group set up is like American Old Dinner nothing fancy but food is delicious had a vegetarian omelette and it is made with fresh eggs servers are very attentive they been on the same location for over 30 years if you driving tru Roseville is right by the I80 fwy

Really good food, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Didn't get served right away but thats mostly due to the fact they didn't realize we hadn't been served. Asides that, the bacon was fantastic!

This place is as close to a traditional 50's diner as you can possibly get in this day and age. Classic vinyl seats with Formica tables, about half a dozen booths and just as many stools at the counter. VERY attentive and helpful staff, with a wonderful balance of being modestly sociable and informative. The Ultimate omelette was the ultimate on their menu, meaning it wasn't the "kitchen sink", but compiled all the ingredients of all the other omelettes listed. Sliced sausage links, healthy pieces of mushrooms and bell peppers, plenty of cheese, and crumpled bacon wrapped in a fluffy egg blanket. Potatoes were superb! Not just hash browns from potato gratings, but real potato slices grilled up to a crispy brown outside and a firm yet soft interior. Excellent sausage gravy for the biscuits, chicken fried steak, and potatoes. Apple and cherry pies were available, made in house, and delightfully tasty! If you want an affordable, comfortable dining experience akin to yesteryear, Chubby's Diner should be on your list. I'll be returning here.

A real diner. Super friendly staff. Diner seating and counter service. Standard American breakfast and lunch fare. I have been going here for several years and have never been disappointed. Good food, good portions. Can be busy.

Hands down the best burger fry and shake. Everything is delicious. People are nice like in a small town. And atmosphere is everything youd want from a old time burger joint. Been coming here since I was 14. I'm 26 now.

When I went there I had corned beef hash and an order of biscuits and gravy both were absolutely delicious portions were awesome my only problem was the lighting in the place messed with my eyes

1st time there and I will definitely be back. The food was awsome, and so was the manager....great job to the team there at chubby's.

Been several years since I had been to this diner, as I do not live in Roseville any more.. Had a nice lunch with my family and reminisced about old times.. The staff was so sweet and attentive. My parents used to go there all of the time, When I find the photo of them sitting outside of Chubbys, I will post it to this review.. Until we meet again. Thank you for the memories..

Great diner atmosphere, it is like an old 50’s cafe, very cozy. Small place but the service was big, they were quick and very friendly. I had the teriyaki chicken with home made buns. The meal was great and homemade buns added that extra flavor. They also have have a great breakfast menu which I will be checking out in the near future.
