As we travel around we always look for the local coffee place. It's a different feeling altogether, no matter where you come from a simple coffee place makes you feel at home. I love the hustle bustle inside the coffee place. I got their most popular lavender latte, apple strudel and iced chai latte. Indeed loved the vibe, the interiors. I wanted to spend more time here and chill but we had plans to go further to the beach. But I am carrying the lavender latte in my hand and a small piece of this experience of Clyde's coffee roasting vibe. Anyone who comes to this side please don't miss it because once you're here, your heart will be filled with love. I loved the service, the staff is extremely helpful and polite. The lady who took our order was extremely patient and did not rush us. She helped us to choose our drinks. The gentleman who brewed our coffee had a big smile which left a great impact overall on this place. Must visit.

You MUST get the scones. Omg. Generally I do not order scones because all I’ve had are the dry, crumbly ones that are as hard as a rock. Clyde’s scones are different. Clyde’s scones take over your sense of smell because they are the first scent you register as you walk up the steps to the coffeehouse. Clyde’s scones make you forget your traumatic scone experiences and have you believing there is good in the world. Get. The. Scones.

Such an amazing coffee shop! We are visiting from Wisconsin and we loved coming here because the atmosphere was amazing. We ordered an iced carmelicious and it was so good. The service was amazing and when we came back the second time a worker gave us a punch card and filled it up so we would get a free coffee next time! Such a wonderful business!

We ordered a dirty chai, a house blend coffee, and an apple caramel scone. It was $16, so a bit on the pricey side, but it’s quality stuff! It was all very tasty, especially the dirty chai. 😋Just one thing… they ran out of the house blend we ordered, so they mixed it with a different blend to fill the cup. That’s okay, they asked us if it was okay to do that. I just wish they would’ve said, “Sorry for the inconvenience, here’s $.20 off for the inconvenience of not having a full cup of one blend” Know what I mean? Maybe I’m just being picky, but imo that would’ve made this place stand shoulders above other coffee places in the area. Also the place was very cozy with super cute decor, and plenty of outdoor seating too with a decent lake view😍

We tried a few local coffee spots in the area and decided to stop in. This coffee shop was such a comfortable place to walk in and have a seat with a great cup of coffee. We had considered leaving to grab food but instead bought bagels and cream cheese. Jalapeno cheddar bagels were excellent!

Clyde’s, please come to Buffalo! There is no doubt that is is a popular local coffee shop. During the short stay in Lake Tahoe, we frequented Clyde’s for fresh, locally roasted coffee and their scones and croissants. We had a cheddar bacon, blueberry, and orange chocolate scones as well as ham and cheese and almond croissants. Both were soft with a ton of flavor!! Hey good to go on your way to the slopes, hiking, or Yosemite National Park as we did. Also, the shop had a great vibe. It looked like a little cabin with a fireplace and fun ski/outdoor decorations that made it homey with the Lake Tahoe feel.

Great selection of coffee and baked items. The apple strudel with apricot drizzle was awesome and so was the tomato mozzarella (I think) bagel. Service is friendly and it has a small inside and deck out front. My wife and I love this place.

Cozy local coffee shop! Very fast service and super friendly staff! First time here and would definitely recommend the ham and cheese croissant and even the scone! I also ordered a lavender hot latte and it was delicious! 10/10!

Great coffee. I had a cappuccino and it was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful and my drink came out quickly. If you're looking for a local coffee shop, this is it.

Simply perfect! Blueberry scone is soft and has real, good-sized blueberries inside. Lavender latte is awesome - you can get it half-sweet and still taste the lavender. Staff is friendly too.

I’ve been traveling to South Lake from LA for 3 years now and this is the only spot I’ll go for coffee and pastries. The staff is always super friendly. The coffee is superb and the pastries! They have a ham and cheese croissant that I dream about when I’m not in town and they recently added these tiny egg cups like a quiche. Whoa! Please check them out!

Excellent coffee; good service; good pastry. and I love the atmosphere. They did a fabulous job with the decor so that it is cozy no matter the season. I imagine winter months are when you really want to hang out there for a while longer. It is very inviting. Too bad we were heading out to go home, otherwise that would have been my morning coffee shop. (At least I know Cyldes is there on our next visit to Tahoe.) One of the best locally owned coffee shops I've ever visited. Lovely, clean interior with friendly service and excellent pastries (if you're a bear claw fan, Clyde's is to die for!). The coffee is pretty darn good too, great mix of coffee and sweet in flavored drinks. Recommend the Caramelicious!

Awesome little hole In the wall coffee spot with a cabin feel and home-e vibe. The staff was great and treated an out of towner like me with the upmost hospitality. I came back the next day with my cousin. Their scones are amazing.

We’re visiting from Texas and heard great things about Clydes coffee, so we had to try it. This is hands down the best coffee we have ever had!! We ordered a cappuccino, a hot chocolate and their Uganda light roast which was very smooth and flavorful. If you’re a coffee connoisseur, this is the place to go! They also have homemade pastries and homemade whipped cream, which we devoured. It was absolutely delicious! We will be returning again tomorrow morning. This place is a must to get amazing coffee and pastries.

Excellent espresso, super delicious and fresh pastries. A worthy stop for anyone who enjoys good quality coffee and charming cafe vibes.

The coffee and espresso drinks are really well made and done nicely. The baked goods are the best I have found in Tahoe. Sometimes we would ask for something extra like whipped cream or an extra shot and it was 50/50 if we got it. Sometimes the service was friendly but mostly not which I always find strange when you are kind and asking how the day is going(got zero reply) I wouldn’t be so critical but I’m in the service industry too. I’ll keep buying coffee here but maybe a little more engagement. Local/grew up here/family has been here over 59 years

In town for a week and we come here daily! Nicest staff and the best coffee drinks! They roast their own beans and make all bakery items themselves. Two picky teens loved the scones because they are fresh that day, flavorful and unlike most scones... not dried out :)
