It's hard to find a coffee spot that's open on Sunday but I was lucky enough to discover this one. What a cool vibe when you walk in. There is a ton of indoor seating both tables and bar. The staff are all friendly and eager to provide service to you. We ordered a Cortado and caramel latte. Both were great choices. My husband also ordered a breakfast sandwhich that he enjoyed as well. The have limited food items with specials. We also learned that they offer events through out the week....open mic, trivia etc. We will definately return!

Please only tell nice people about this place. This new establishment with excellent decor and hippie style charm must be kept as is. You can have a latte, wine and such. Tonight is mic night. Beautiful music by local talented artists. We had a super fun time!

This hidden gem was a surprise as I’m a native Bradenton local. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing vibe. Justin and a lady were our bartenders and did phenomenal. They carried my favorite beer Tecate!! That really won the rating. We didn’t eat, but the food looked enjoyable. I defiantly recommend, and look forward to returning

A true hidden gem! I've passed this place several times and have always been intrigued, and I finally had the opportunity to stop in. The natural lighting the building has is beautiful and offers a great place to sit back, enjoy coffee, and read. There is also a stage for bands to perform. I am hoping to come back and enjoy one of the performances soon.

My first time to Oscura was awesome! Invited by one of the playwrights for a special event…”A Nightmarrish Barroom Brouhaha”…and was very happy!! Drinks were delicious. Special menu in play with Hummus plate (fantastic!), Martini chips( awesome), Cuban sandwich, and Roast Beef Sandwich were all good portions and yummy. Prices were fair (see pic). Atmosphere is really cool. Spooky decorations were hung for the event but love the standard decor too. Classic photos and historical items like a Les Paul collage of the original studio and history about it. Also gig photos and record wall were really neat. Some high top tables and couches were available for alternative seating options. Bar area is comfy with under bar hooks for your bag and ample USB plug stations at the bar(Thank You!)

I have mixed feelings. This place is such a great vibe with live music, friendly staff and amazing coffee! Visited for the first time, didn’t know what to order and the barista said he loves the honey, cinnamon iced late with oat milk so I decided to try it and it did not disappoint! I also ordered the avocado toast ($9) as well as the chicken salad sando ($11). The total was $30. The food was nothing too crazy flavor wise, tastes like your basic avocado toast and chicken salad sandwich but the presentation of the avocado toast was pretty. The size of the avocado toast and presentation of the chicken salad sando was a bit disappointing after seeing the pictures of each item on their instagram. The chicken salad sando looked different and had completely different ingredients so not sure if they have different chicken salad sando options. Also, I wish the barista would have mentioned the oat milk would be extra because I’m a little upset about how much a latte came up to be almost $8 but it does say it’s $.80 extra on the menu so can’t be too upset. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great, relaxing and loved the live music.

My brother and I wanted to start trying new restaurants to recommend to our usual group of foodies. This small cafe was first on our list, and we were not disappointed. We arrived around 12 and had the opportunity to try their lunch menu, I ordered a Cuban sandwich and lavender specialty lemonade while my brother tried the chicken salad sandwich and a strawberry Mango craft iced tea. The food and drinks were stellar, complimented by the calm and quiet atmosphere and quality service, with a wonderful attitude by both servers present who were more than happy to discuss the drinks they had available on the menu. Prices were fair for the quantity as both our plates were served with potato chips, and to end our dining experience, we ordered some drinks to go, a Chai latte, and a regular latte and the server was kind enough to customize ours a bit and make our drinks more on the sweeter side and both were so fantastic we nearly forgot our earlier dining experience. I definitely recommend this place for a nice and quiet lunch. Now to some caveats... Breakfast ends at 11, and without serving it alongside lunch, the menu appears rather limited in terms of food and may not offer something for everyone. I intend to return during breakfast and perhaps dinner if it is available. Dinner may be noiser as the location offers music and trivia events, but that may be to some people's liking. Overall, this was a wonderful surprise and a wonderful start to our restaurant exploration adventure. Stay tuned!

The owners, the place, the staff, the experience, is always the best at Oscura. I can't wait to attend some of the local events they're hosting. They are so authentic in representing local and promoting our community, it's inspiring.

I love it here! All staff is very friendly & welcoming! I was looking for a coffee shop but they are so much more than that! They have drinks, food, live music & even hold events like flea markets & such! I had their Cold Brew with Almond Milk & Caramel & it was 10/10! Can’t go attend their events!

Great little place for events and hide away. Was impressed with the organic menu and quality ingredients on the food menu. The staff seemed very knowledgeable. I even learned of a new vodka that is organic and filtered 7 times! It's definitely a place to check it if you need to host a business event.

Oscura is my favorite coffee shop. They created the best day I’ve had in a long time. The staff created a “songs that have a color in their name” playlist and the staff and customers took turns adding/playing a song. The vibes were *immaculate* Food is spectacular for the price - especially the avocado toast!

One of the best place to chill and have a mid day cup of coffee. We went there in a group of 3 and tried various items of the menu, their Nation Cheese Burger and Choco Heaven Frappe are must to try. Their service is quite good and friendly staff.

Over time, Oscura has become a second home for many people in Manatee County! The staff are incredibly kind, the food and drinks are spectacular and the different events that get put on are always a hit. Personally, I've made many friends just by coming to Oscura and interacting at events and I'm always so proud to show off this establishment to other people. I could go on and on about how much I love this place, but I think you should just go for yourself to see! For first timers, I recommend going to the Friendly City Flea which takes place once a month on Sundays at Oscura. Great time to try out the venue while seeing and shopping from amazing local artists. 10/10. Will continue to recommend again and again.

This was my first visit to see a couple of bands that I really enjoy. The venue is pretty awesome, a sandwich type place during the day and an intimate music venue at night. The music posters showed a wide array of different music genres for any particular tastes you may have. I'll definitely find their social media page and watch out for other events that interest me..

One of my favorite places to spend my day...or night! Oscura is a perfect place to start your day with a warm beverage (and for my fellow non-caffeine drinkers try the Carrot Cake tea). Daytime environment is perfect for hosting a meeting, reading a book, or just trying some of Chef Keith's fantastic menu items! And nighttime Oscura becomes an entirely new place! Grab one of the in-house blended slush drinks or your favorite beers on draft and get ready to enjoy a show! A neighborhood bar with a fresh, fun feel and a staff that makes you feel like a star every time!

This is a perfect coffee shop. I ordered a cortado and avocado toast. The espresso is perfectly extracted and balanced. My wife had a cold brew with oat milk and ordered the breakfast sandwich. She really enjoyed it as well. Their menu is small but everything is perfectly executed with high quality ingredients. The cafe is LGBT+ inclusive, clean, lots of seating choices, beautiful plants, atmosphere is really nice, and baristas are incredibly friendly & down to earth. They have a stage for music events, and had some posters about bands, trivia nights, and upcoming movie nights this month. They have a bar, but also offer plenty of fun non alcoholic drinks as well. The bathrooms are also very well maintained. We are also so excited that this cafe is open later, since many cafes close in the early afternoon. We already plan to come back this week for their Halloween trivia night, and this coffee shop is going to be our regular shop now.

Cute spot!! Lovely live music and fun pop ups. 4 stars vs 5 due to everything served on plastic and paper. Proper plates and cutlery would super elevate the experience and be less wasteful. Plates were also a bit small depending upon what you get but food was good. The service situation is also a bit funky and disorganized but I assume they are working on it as a new spot or maybe it was a weekend thing.

I'd give this a 3.5/5 stars if I could. While it's nice and spacious with comfy areas to sit, the menu for food and drink is VERY small. The coffee selection is pretty basic as well despite being a coffee shop. It's nice that there's oat milk options for those lactose intolerant.

Friendly flea was fun! We bought little mushroom bois at Oli’s Market booth. In love! We will be back when we can spend more time and money.

A community-oriented coffee shop that pays attention to the details. The coffee "soda" is deliciously unique; cuban sandwich and avocado toast were also very good. Great service as well.

I like this place, couple of beers, couple of shots- live music for a few hours. Saw a ska show there and it was a pretty good time.

Great venue to see a local band. Had a blast listening to Absenthminded over this past weekend. Drinks are reasonable!!

Always so fantastic! I have been going to Oscura since they opened and they are consistently fantastic. Their cortado coffee is amazing, balanced, strong, and never bitter. The food is always top-notch: fresh, creative, and delicious. Everything always looks so beautiful, too! The coffee with a little design in the froth, the metal trays for plates, and their avodaco toast is a work of art (and as delicious as it is beautiful). Bur this review is also about their catering menu - WOWEE!! We needed something impressive for a reception with an out-of-town consultant and Oscura's platters blew everyone away. Again like the food they serve daily at the cafe the platters were as delicious as they were beautiful. Worth every penny! We are so grateful for their high standards and artful yet delicious food.
