New patients be weary. For all new patients this dental office requires panoramic imaging (Panoramic X-Ray, insurance code D0330) AND Full Mouth Intraoral Imaging (Comprehensive Series of X-Rays, insurance code 0210). The office requires BOTH of these types of images for new patients, knowingly that most insurance companies permit ONE per year. Make sure to check with your insurance what is covered, otherwise these services are around $100 each. Also to note, new patients receive requests for Google Reviews immediately after being seen from the doctor and via text. Be aware of this when scrolling through the constant 5-start reviews.

I have been going here for about 3 years. I have never been turned away when I needed emergency appts. Dr Marquez is the best caring and knowledgeable dentist I've met (and I'm 65 yrs old). Dr Strout did my 4 implants surgery and his procedure philosophy on implants is the most reassuring explanation I've heard and I shopped around. He took great care of me throughout the whole process. The staff are friendly, caring and very helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I've been to MANY dentists in St Augustine in the last 30 years.

Dr Strout gave me a No Nonsense explanation of the procedures he was going to need to perform, laid everything out on one sheet of paper as far as the cost including my insurance offset. It's always nice to feel comfortable going into some major dental surgery. Thank you!

I’ve been to many dental practices over the past 60 years and have to say the Center For Dental Excellence I found in St Augustine has been truly outstanding. Usually going to see a dentist is less than pleasant but I have never minded my appointments here. Dr Marquez has such a gentle touch and cares about your comfort during procedures which is a welcome change from most past experiences. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, making the entire visit positive. I very highly recommend this dental practice.

Best dentist and hygienist I have ever seen! I have a lot of recession in my gums which can cause painful cleanings. The hygienist numbed my gums and was super gentle. I did not have one bit of pain the entire time she was cleaning my teeth. This office has top notch technology! Highly recommend

While I have been a patient of this office and had great periodontal cleanings with several hygienists, my last experience with a sinus lift and 2 implants was a total failure. An implant that was placed was after a couple of weeks was dangling in my mouth and couldn't get any help for a few days..and the implant was easily pulled out by Dr. Marquez. Dr. Strout was away and I was desperate. I lost trust with this office not only about this but the handling of billing, etc. When I started the process of replacing an old bridge and crowns the removal process was fine. Six or so months ago I had a sinus lift which seemed awfully quickly done. Well as I mentioned that failed along with the implant there too. Then another implant was performed in another missing tooth area and when I left and a day or so later felt an abscess and some blood from the area. By then I had enough and am now getting all this work redone by Dental Specialists of North Florida. I was given a refund on some work at Center for Dental Excellence but not for most of the other work. I am paying twice now in the amount in excess of approx. $3500. Center for Dental Excellence received payment from my dental insurance but I am now in negotiations with Met Life Dental on what monies I can recover. Center for Dental Excellence has sent a letter to me that they ceased offering me anymore services. Believe me I am not a complainer just hold anyone providing me services be to high standards and accountability. I was with this office since 2015. Let me add to the review is I did have a very good experience several years ago with Dr. Marquez, the DDS dentist at this office. I had the right upper mouth restored very well with crowns and a bridge.

After Fracturing a tooth AND Not being able to get an appointment with my "old" Dentist (9 yr patient) for 6 weeks, I contacted Center for Dental Excellence who got me in the same day. AND was able to take care of my problem immediately. I can't say enough about the professionalism of the staff AND 2 Dentists I saw. A MILLION THANKS!!!

As I advance in age my teeth are more sensitive, but Melissa was gentle and got my teeth cleaned quite promptly. A good Check up with my Dr.and I was on my way in no time!

Melissa is the best hygienist I’ve ever been to. She keeps me calm in the chair and I hate the dentist so I’m usually really uptight. Her bedside manner is over the top.

I was there for my regular cleaning with Melissa. She is very professional and friendly. Melissa did a great job on my teeth. I have been this practice for many years and they have never let me down. My implant was uncomfortable so I called the office. It was early so I got the service who was very good. By 7:30PM one of the staff Samantha called me and had me in as soon as the office opened at 8:00 AM and they took care of the problem. I needed an emergency visit as my implant broke. They called me back within minutes and scheduled me for the following morning. I was taken care on time and my implant was removed and the temporary implant was put in until the permanent one can be repaired.

My experience was very delightful. Staff was very professional. My hygienist was awesome and Dr. Marcus took care of me. I am grateful that they provided me with such great service..

The office was immaculately clean, office staff very friendly and helpful. Most importantly the Dentist Dr. Strout was very thorough and took the time to explain everything to me. I left his office with a treatment plan to address my dental concerns. He also offered me several options that I could consider going forward which I appreciated. Also want to thank the Orthodontist that took the time to give me a free consultation and continue to explain my other options going forward. Great overall experience.
