Second best pizza in the nation? I’d say more like second best pizza on the block. The pizza wasn’t bad but that was just it, not bad. At $7 a slice I expected incredible pizza but was ultimately disappointed. I was just glad we had enough cash to pay since there’s no signs outside letting you know it’s cash only.

First the Pizza is good. No doubt about it. But the actual service and method of service is horrible. First you will stand in line looking at pizza “types” through glass while the worker/owner stand behind glass without a care in the world, actually they refrained from any contact with us. Signs everywhere say Cash only - I am fine with that… but there are no prices anywhere - NONE. You shuffle along and as I ask what is available- he just taps on a plastic sign like I should know. So hurriedly my daughter and I chose and shuffled down toward other items- small salads, olives, etc. NO PRICES. Then you wait for cashier who can ring you up till there is a slice of pizza on your tray and has no idea how much it will be - she told me $6.00 to $10.00 a slice. I am thinking “I should have enough cash”. I get a drink which is a fountain drink for $5.00. The entire bill was close to $30.00 with tax. The icing on the cake is the tip jar, there is no way I am tipping anyone in a place where In line, expects cash only with no prices, you get your own drink and you clear your own table. They couldn’t even smile… I may have tipped if they were even slightly pleasant. This is not a fancy place by any means and I know times are tough, I get it - but how about service with a smile. I think this family has lost the joy of owning a business in a busy tourist area. That’s my opinion. Again Pizza was great, service atmosphere get a big fat ZERO!

Delicious Pizzas. Worth waiting in the line for quite a bit. They selling by slices. Price varies based on pizza type. Range from $4.50 to $9.50. Not sure if there is any higher price pizzas. The slices are big, which is good for one person as a meal. Most important is they only accept Cash. Overall, great pizza place. Highly recommended.

Rated 2nd best pizza in the United States? I am not sure about that. But it’s pretty awesome and one of the best pizzas I have tasted. And this place became a regular stop whenever I visit the beautiful city of St. Augustine. FYI, I grew up eating pizzas since 1980’s. However, I wasn’t too pleased when I paid about $50 for 3 slices of pizzas, 1 order of garlic knots and 2 fountain sodas. I understand food cost inflated quite a lot in the past 2-3 years. And paying $50 for a meal of this caliber in a touristic area isn’t bad at all. But I still feel uncomfortable paying $8+ for a slice of pizza. Especially when I don’t see any signs of pricing and get shocked at the cash register.

This was some really really good pizza. I can't say it's the national second best, but hey they were voted that, and I had zero complaints!! The Brooklyn special, ravioli pizza, and the potato ball were fantastic. Cash only business and they have an ATM inside. Fun atmosphere, and there's usually a line, so the earlier you get in, the better. Well worth the wait. I can't wait to go back!

Can be a very busy place. They do a good job at keeping the line moving. Nice selection of pizza. Extra large slices. One can be enough. No menu’s. Really good. Been there multiple times. Very consistent. Cash Only !

The line is long and it is expensive, but it’s sooo good! I would give 5 stars if it wasn’t so expensive. You get individual slice. I got the potato ball this time and it was ok but I won’t get it in the future. The fresh mozzarella is really good! The mushrooms and sausage is great! Make sure you have cash as it is cash only.

This pizza joint is absolutely amazing!!! My family and I were in St. Augustine for three days and couldn't wait to try it out. At night there was literally a huge line down the street just to get in to order. We decided to go around 2:00 PM and it was perfect. There was still a bit of a wait but it was worth every second! We got the chicken Parmesan pizza, white pizza, and buffalo mozzarella margarita pizza. I would absolutely reccomend everyone try this place!!! Great job staff!

First, the pizza is good. I've had just as good elsewhere in Florida, but it was good NY pizza. Butt there's more wrong with this place than the right pizza. We were passing through St Augustine and went there because we were told it was the best pizza in Florida. You look for parking anywhere in SA. We searched for about a half hour before we found a lot with a spot. A lot of the streets are 1 way, usually the wrong way. The shop is on a pedestrian-only street. So, there's no visual reference to help find the place. We lucked out with a $10 church lot about 6 blocks away. The line was out the door. That was a good sign. When I try pizza for the first time, I always get a cheese pizza. It's the standard by which a pizzeria should be judged. A cheese slice is $5.50 plus tax I was planning on also getting a slice with sausage. 2 things prevented that. First, I started the day with $20 in my pocket. After parking I had $10 left. This place is cash-only. Multiple signs makes this clear IN the store. Unless I wanted to go to the back of the line, I could only have 1 slice. Second, they don't custom make pizza. What they have on display is all they'll sell. Also, this is the first pizzeria I have EVER been in that didn't have grated cheese or garlic powder! Was it worth a visit? Sure, as a touristy thing to do. And, the pizza was good.

Located in Beautiful Historic St. Augustine. Must Try this Pizza. Will not be Disappointed. Delicious and Amazing Pizza and Garlic Knots. Cash Only but there is an ATM Machine in the Restaurant. Beverage (Cups of Soda) are Expensive. Soda Cost the same as the meal. Definitely will be back to try more options.

Wow! There is a reason they won the "2nd" best pizza in the US 🇺🇸 award! Absolutely delicious 😋. Loved the feel of a traditional take and go counter, also having the option to grab an adult beverage and sit down to eat. I've been attempting to try this for the last 6 visits to Saint Augustine but the line is always long. However, the reason is because it's worth the wait.

Pizza Time was voted as the second best in the US a while back on TripAdvisor. While I’m not sure if they still have that rating today, I decided to swing by while in St. Augustine to see if it truly lived up to the hype. We arrived basically right as they opened so there was no one in line. Their selections of pizza and sides are great and looked really good. I settled for a slice of meat lovers with some garlic knots and a drink. Now what are my thoughts? Did it live up to the hype? Yes, it truly did. The pizza was outstanding. The sauce was tasty, the toppings were fresh, and the garlic knots were oh so buttery delicious. I also had a bite of the Chicken Parmesan slice and wow, that was a 10/10. My only concern is prices. They are CRAZY expensive. Slices range from $5-$11, but the worst part is, a fountain drink is $5! This was pretty ridiculous considering it was only a 20 oz cup. The garlic knots however are a pretty good deal (3 for $3 and 6 for $6). So overall, Pizza Time is definitely a winner. The next time I’m in St. Augustine, I’m definitely coming back!

The service was efficient and fast. The pizzas were great and the Greek salad delicious. They only take cash so make sure you have enough cash. There is a line to order and sit down but it goes fast. It is in the heart of downtown on the most popular street.

Go ahead and withdraw $40 from the ATM; you'll need the entire amount to cover the pizza. I had two slices of meat and a bottle of water, and it amounted to over $24. Don’t get me wrong, the pizza is good, but not for that kind of money.

Cash only! Make sure you have cash before you lineup and order. We were taking our order and got surprised that they only accept cash and we are in 2022 But the good thing that they gave us the food and said come back later to pay. Pizzas were really good, try their special.

My wife and I went to this place after hearing a recommendation from our neighbor. We bought 4 slices of pizza, including meat lover, Rustica and Gramma's pizza together with a soda and a bottle of water. It came out pretty expensive. Maybe that's why they did not have the price tag displayed. $8 each slice of pizza was acceptable to me in the tourist area during this time. However, $5 a soda and $4 a bottled water seems a rip-off. Besides, I found the pizza a bit too salty. I'd prefer Hungry Howie's pizza which tastes much better to me.

Absolutely loved up to its hype of being some of the best pizza in the US. Very good quality pizza with just the right amount of taste! Good restaurant environment and I love the options! I got a regular cheese slice, took 5 minutes and it was nice and hot! If you’re ever in St. Augustine I would definitely recommend checking this spot out and grabbing a slice of goodness!

The pizza was certainly delicious with a nice crispy crust and fantastic marinara. The garlic rolls are also very flavorful. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is that it was so busy that you could not see a menu or all the pizza choices before they asked for your decision. A great place to eat, but I would like to be there at a time that is less busy. Cash only!

when you pass St. George in Saint Augustine, you will definitely see a huge line in front of this place. Don’t let it fool you, the wait time isn’t too much. We waited for about 5 to 10 minutes to get our turn and it was pretty quick. They took our pizza order to the oven and proceeded in line to get complimentary cheese and then paid in cash. The staff are very friendly and fast and served us with a smile. After we took our pizza, we sat ourselves in the dining room that was packed and had one of the best pizzas we had in Florida. We will definitely come back!

Amazing new York style pizza! I even saw them making their own dough in the back. It is cash only and the price for 4 slices for me and my fiancé was $40, which caught us off guard. But it was honestly so good, and I had a lot of leftover pizza for a late night snack!

The Arancini was the star of our lunch, we should have ordered more of that and less pizza. No they don't take cards, but they do have signs at the beginning of the line and have multiple arms in the store (you don't even have yo get out of line to use them). Pizza probably wasn't in our top 5 for sure, it was pretty bland. No garlic, salt or chili flakes were available at the counter or tables. The blandness of the pizza did allow me to taste the quality of the cheeses used though. We had very friendly staff, and the establishment was clean from the front to the restrooms.

Excellent pizza. The burrata was amazing. This was by far the best slice of pizza I have ever had. The square slice beat my all time favorite (Albert's in Long Island NY). I never thought that would be possible. I drove an hour for this today and will be doing that again. There was a 5 minute wait on a Sunday at noon. I didn't even look at the prices. When you approach the counter and see all the pies, the cost is the last thing on your mind.

Pizza Time is undoubtedly one of the best spots I've visited in St. Augustine. Their pizza is absolutely delicious and has rightfully earned its reputation as one of the best in the country. However, it's worth noting that they only accept cash payments, which can be a bit inconvenient for some customers. Despite this minor inconvenience, the quality of their pizza more than makes up for it. From the perfectly crispy crust to the generous toppings, every bite is a delight. I highly recommend Pizza Time to anyone craving a slice of authentic, mouthwatering pizza in St. Augustine.

I waited in line 30 minutes for their $10 slices, and I think it was worth it. Was really good. I loved the burrata Sicilian slice as well as their pomodoro.

The Pizza really is that good, staff is very friendly, especially Ms. Donna who was very attentive considering it is a grab and go. Cons, it's cash only and very expensive, up to $9.95 a slice... that would be equivalent to $80 for a full pizza pie... 11 people was over $260 and that was modest, about two slices per person sharing four sodas and four beers

This place is amazing!!! Best pizza that I've ever had in my life. The garlic rolls are delicious too. Be prepared to pay in cash, and don't be surprised with the charges. It's definitely pricey, but totally worth it. I'm going back for sure! The place was super super clean too. Definitely 5/5 🌟
