This is the absolute worst hospital I’ve ever been admitted to, I was discharged yesterday, then had to come back in today because the prescription I was supposed to get was not in yet. I needed the medicine so I didn’t have to come back here. Yesterday I had a great experience, however today the nurses and care technicians have continuously ignored my calls for assistance as well as my necessities as a patient. It is completely outrageous to be treated like this as a patient and I recommend anyone considering going to Flagler hospital to make the drive to Jacksonville and go to one there.

This is a great facility. The hospital is very clean and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The hospital is big, but thete is good signage to help one navigate t/o without getting lost. Plus, staff is always willing to help with directions. This hospital offers so much. Of course, in the front of the hospital, there is hospice care, the main entrance to the hospital, and the ER entrance. The ER is being renovated at this time. There is parking all around the hospital, and there is a bus that provides transportation to the location of the hospital you need. There are little stations around the parking lot. That is where the bus/transport will pick you up. Very nice on a rainy day. On the side entrance, more towards the back of the hospital is the cafeteria and employee entrances into the hospital. And at the back of the hospital is the surgery entrance. The cafeteria has good food options for breakfast and lunch. There is also a Starbucks/cafe that offers snacks and, of course, Starbucks coffee. There are lots of tables in this area to enjoy a nice meal. They also have 2 courtyards off to each side of the cafeterias going towards the main entrance of the hospital. Beautiful option for eating outside in the beautiful Florida weather. The staff and doctors at Flagler Hospital are professional and skilled. I would recommend this hospital to take care of myself and my family.

I went into early labor on May 23rd and at the last minute chose to deliver at this hospital. One of the best decisions I ever made. They attended to me quickly and made me feel comfortable and at ease. I wish I wrote down the names of all the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff to thank them personally for helping me deliver my healthy baby boy. God is good!

Contemplated on whether or not I wanna review this hospital. Reading the reviews I believe some of these five star reviews are a five star campaign written by staff to help their horrible average on Google. The response that I know I'll get to this is a scripted response, my mother-in-law was released with an amputated foot and cognitive issues to a nursing home at 7:45 PM an hour away, making it difficult to ensure her medication regiment would be strictly adhered to. We were told they can transfer patients 24 seven. Why would it be the best interest to send someone with memory care to a nursing home in the evening when they should be calming down is beyond me. Social worker works for the hospital. Remember that they are there to help you with questions you may not know, but they do not volunteer information. Nursing staff is hit or miss. Like anywhere some really really good ones. However this review is for the hospital overall. However, one star may seem low. It's the details that matter when it's a persons care we are talking about and discharge of a patient to a nursing facility in the evening hours when they should be going down to rest for healing is absurd Flagler Hospital shame on you I'm super glad to hear the competition is coming to town because you will certainly have to raise your game .

My uncle took a fall and got hurt, he was taken to Flagler hospital where he’s been for 5 days now, receiving excellent care. All nurses have been tending to his wounds, specialists have assessed him by taking blood tests, stress tests and now they’re giving him some PT to strengthen back up after his fall. They have been in contact with me every day informing me about the progress, actions they were taking and results of all tests. I remember Olivia and Samantha but all nurses on the 7th floor have been excellent and kind to him. Rachel the discharge manager set up an in home care plan and transport to his assisted living. It has been a confusing time for my uncle but with the hospitals excellent care he’s always felt safe and in good hands. Amazing experience in challenging times. Ten stars if I could, thank you all so much! Update: my uncle has been doing very well after he was moved to his assisted living by a young man who was so very caring. His recovery has been swift and he’s up and going with the excellent home care the hospital has set up for him. Again, even after he left the hospital the actions of the hospital staff have been excellent.

My father has been a patient here several times over the last few years. He was recently admitted due to having issues with his breathing. Called the hospital numerous times to get information. Most of those calls were sent to some extension, and the calls were never returned. The other day he was discharged, no one contacted me or his health surrogate. Imagine my surprise when I called and was told he was discharged.. He was sent to a Rehab facility. If I hadn't called I would have had no idea. We have no idea which Doctor decided to move him. No one will admit to doing it or who the Physician was. I am surprised and saddened that this is the quality of care the Hospital provides. No one answers for any actions, Just poor quality service all the way around. Hope that Baptist opens soon or go to Mayo...

Spent an unexpected eight days at this hospital. The nursing staff was incredible. Especially nurse, Julie and Rute. The age were wonderful and very attentive place was super clean would recommend to anybody. Registration coordinator Shakerria Hancock was amazing. She should be teaching a class in Customer Service. She was so good.

Visit to the ER today with my husband. Dirty, dated and generally nasty. The nursing staff was stressed. The doctors were condescending, rude and dismissive. In 20 years my husband has been to an ER twice, today and 6 months ago when he was having a heart attack. We do not use the ER other than emergencies. NEVER AGAIN at Flagler!!!

My father-in-law has been admitted for 24 hours. Night one, after having a fever for 5 days, he was taken to his room. No notes that were taken from the ER were communicated to the nurses on his floor. My mother in law couldn’t get anyone to come see him. It took my wife calling, speaking to an operator who expressed no empathy to her concerns and calling to speak to someone above her to get some kind of action. My father in law was supposed to be on fluids and spent hours without them. The next day Dr. Eva Villanueva did not show up until the end of her shift and delivered the most atrocious bedside manner I’ve ever seen. My father in law is hard of hearing and she spoke to him through a mask. When asked to speak louder she stated that would be the loudest she would be speaking. Based on my families experience, it’s not hard to see why this hospital has horrible reviews. People have real concerns and if you’re going to work in the line of business, compassion should be one of the traits you possess. Good luck to anyone that has family in this building.

Well organized. Got labs done! Laboratory was open until 4:30. The buzzer method made made the walk in appointment less confusing and feel more secure. Was very fast. So much better than quest experience

Went to the ER with a fractured leg Feb 2023. Was admitted and surgery scheduled for two days later. Their surgery schedule was full and they had to squeeze me in. The ER staff was helpful and tried to make me as comfortable as possible. Admission was easy, had my private room on the surgery floor by late afternoon. The staff on the floor was exemplary. Every single staff member from the Charge Nurse to the pleasant gal who brought me me meals. When I say everyone, I literally mean everyone. I felt like I had known this staff forever. So kind and empathetic. Highly recommend Flagler Hospital!

My 85 year old mother is not the easiest patient for sure, she is depressed and wants to be home. she has had some rude nurses and technicians with little compassion for the patients who are going through a really rough time in their life. On the other hand, there are some really great nurses and techs that are exactly the opposite. That’s why I gave them a three and not a one. If you are going to work with sick people and their life is in your hands , you should have compassion, regardless of how the patient is handling it. There are nurses that come into my mothers room and don’t speak to her, they just start rushing around poking at her and doing what they need to do without even saying hello. No bedside manner, it would be nice if they would introduce themselves, make a little bit of conversation and explain what they’re doing. It’s a shame ,it stresses the patient and hinders their recovery. She had previously been in Baptist South, the quality of care was much better than Flagler. Next time I will take her to back baptist.

My Daughter delivered her first baby here on 9.22.2023 🎉 I was quite pleased with each of the respective hospital staff members that I encountered. They were all professional, kind and attentive. From the moment that I entered security clearance to the Labor/Delivery nurses/personnel even to the maintenance personnel, Ryan. Thanks for further enabling an incredible experience while at your facility.

One of the absolute best ER experiences I've ever had. I know that comes with a grain of salt because no ER experience is ever during good times. Checked in at triage and it took longer for me to get my blood pressure taken than it did for the staff to know what was wrong and order the proper labs for me. Add on another 5 minutes and the labs were done and I was settled in until discharge. The worst part of my experience here was how steadfast the staff were in ensuring I was comfortable and well that it interrupted my sleep I was getting while I waited for the IV to finish draining, and that's actually a great thing. Thanks to the staff and doctors that took care of me whilst I was being somewhat difficult to work with and still doing your jobs. 6 stars, 10/10 do reccomend to people.

Went with my daughter last night to the ER. The 2 nurses she had were wonderful, CT tech was awesome and the doctor she saw (Dr Johnson) was very caring and wonderful. Fully expected to be there all night but the amount of time it took from being greeted (gal was not friendly at all) getting IV fluids (which nurses ended up re poking because original site was burning)lab work, pain meds, imaging and being discharged was a very pleasant experience. Thank you Midnight ER staff!

I went into Labor last July 26 at 6am. The minute we came in they were very attentive and helpful from security to check-in. We picked Flagler hospital because it’s close to our house and my OB office is in the same building and no regrets at all! We had a great experience with the staff and doctors especially my midwifes (Elizabeth and Stefanie) and all the switching nurses from delivery room and postpartum room. (I wish i had all their names). My labor experience was rough and it wasn’t their fault but they for sure helped so much making it easier. The nurses at the postpartum/recovery room i will give 1000 stars especially Daniel(not sure if that’s how her name is spelled) she helped me so much for 2 days especially she is in night shift she is very attentive and i can tell she loves her job. A big thank you to everyone know that we appreciate all of you during our stay. SALUTE!! 🫡

We received excellent care from the emergency room team. We were seen right away for triage. Then we only waited 40 minutes to get a room and the treatment needed. The team was compassionate and thorough and didn't perform needless procedures.

I used the Flagler Hospital emergency room on Fri, Sept15, 2023. The care I got was exceptional. I was fortunate to get right into triage. The staff was very kind and thorough Dr. Donald Monroe was the doctor on duty. He was very professional and attentive. My nurse Angie Welch was also wonderful. Everyone I came in contact with were pleasant and caring. Thanks to everyone 😊

This is literally the worst hospital ever. I’d rather drive the extra 25 minutes to Baptist South and pray because you’re going to die at this establishment. You think it got better because it’s “UF”, you can put lipstick on a pig but guess what… it’s still a pig. My child was literally throwing up blood after a major surgery where guess what the #1 concern is- you guessed it, bleeding and these fools told her to calm down and stop hyperventilating. Truly the WORST care ever. The guy nurse- didn’t introduce himself so I didn’t know his name rolled his eyes when I asked for the doctor, he’s also the same sweetie who told my kid to stop hyperventilating. The doctor was not knowledgeable about anything and truly it is actually sad that this is who is responsible to save people.

Very nice staff during my visit lastnight. I came in with severe tooth pain and they got me in and gave me medicine right away. Everyone from the front desk to the nurse that helped me was so kind. I had to go to the OB since I am 28 weeks pregnant and they were just as nice there as well!

The entire nursing staff at Flagler Hospital during my Out-patient Surgery was amazing. Each step along the way was explained in detail with friendliness and the utmost professionalism. Sam the Post-Op nurse went out of his way to assure my comfort and needs were met at all times. They all made the best out of a uncomfortable procedure.

I would give it a Zero if that was possible and still write a review. This place believes in policy over patient care. They are too busy to attend to patient and family needs. Visitors are treated very disrespectful. The patients are the least of the priority. Overall if you can make it to a different hospital please do. If you decide to have an elective surgery please elect to find another surgeon and elect to have someplace else do it.

Hospital failed to follow appropriate protocols for my ER visit today for chest pain. I have spoken with both the VA and several other hospitals and was informed that additional testing should have been done prior to discharging me today!! I will be following up once I speak with someone at this place they call a hospital.

I took my infant son here. They git us back pretty quickly wish we could say the same about everything else. He got sick with pneumonia at 7 months old. As I type my review I'm still waiting on the medication they said they would bring its been over an hour already. Nurses and doctors are laughing and socializing.

My experience at the hospital has been nothing short of excellent. After my surgery I have spent 30 plus days, twice a day, at the department call Infusion. The staff at Infusion are nothing short of incredible. Very caring and professional. They need more pumps and poles in order to do their jobs more efficiently.

Flagler Hospital is a great medical facility. It is very clean and has a very friendly, polite and caring staff. I can’t say enough goodness about the doctors. They are exceptional and caring. I received a pacemaker yesterday so I was awake in the OR to hear how they do a procedure from gathering together and counting their instruments to closing. I was very impressed. Rodney gets 5 stars for doing my 2 IV’s.

Our son had an anterior hip replacement in Flagler’s outpatient surgery facility yesterday. At 22 years old, it’s not fun to hear that you have to have a hip replacement. Doctors and all of the medical staff made him feel so at ease and comfortable before and after surgery. He had the best care, and as his parents we could not have been more pleased!

I was in the CPPU after my procedure and Jasmine was my nurse. Jasmine was one of the kindest, skilled, and knowledgeable nurses I have had the pleasure of knowing. A hospital can be a scary place, with Jasmine as my nurse, I felt a sense of comfort that was desperately needed.

Let me start by saying Aug. of 2019 I broke my hip and had to be rushed to Flagler hospital and it was a very bad experience! Fast forward to May 25th, 2023 I was experiencing excruciating pain in my right side and was sent to ER from the care center. Needless to say I did not go willingly. Once in the ER I was met by a wonderful nurse named Vanessa who made sure that I was comfortable and gave me something for the pain. The ER doctor (I believe her name was Kari Snyder) was quick to order needed tests and figure out my issues. After I was admitted and procedures scheduled the nurses and doctors all did a great job taking care of me. After my procedure Melissa Litchy, PA was waiting for my return and spent time with us explaining everything that had taken place. She was an awesome communicator and very detailed and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough about the new Flagler Health experience, thank you everyone! I will be recommending you in the future!

If you have the choice, go ANYWHERE else but this hospital. We are going on hour 16 of a kidney stone causing nausea, vomiting, severe pain, and he is considered “non-emergent.” He’s never been able to pass a stone by himself and we have told them over and over. Our nurses have been amazing. But i would not recommend any other part of this hospital.

For my first pregnancy experience, the nursing and dining staff at Flagler Hospital made myself and my family feel safe, comfortable, and heard. Nurse Tanya, Danielle, Bella, and Jenny just to name a few were some of the most exceptional nurses I’ve ever encountered. I would recommend anyone to deliver at Flagler hospital!

  • 4/5 Long John S. 2 years ago on Google
Let's start with the good. Nursing staff was great for delivery. In fact the nurses were amazing. The bad we spent three days trying to get discharged. Not a doctor on the post pardum floor would come see us. They stopped bringing us water. We just sat here for days. They say their too busy. Find yourself a hospital that has time for you and your loved ones.

The absolute worst billing issues I have ever experienced. The only positive about this place is the nursing staff who are great. However, I have gotten two separate bills that I was told I would not get by the finance department (I was told insurance would cover it). Which of course at the end I had to pay! Then I got a bill from a service date of 3 years and 5 months prior! Apparently they were just sitting on these charges of close to $600! Who has that sitting around to pay a surprise bill 3 and a half years later? Of course, the billing department does not help at all. Also, waiting times at the ER are ridiculous and the front staff try to scare you about the wait times and try to make you leave! There is no compassion at all! The emotional and financial distress I have gotten far outweighs the benefit of receiving services from Flagler hospital! If I can help it, I will never go to Flagler Hospital ever again!

I recently had my first surgery with Dr.Asher. The pre-op team at the hospital were absolutely amazing and supportive. They made me feel comfortable and reassured me that i was in good hands. Post-op nurses were just as amazing. They made sure i got what i needed in a timely manner. Dr. Asher was SO amazing and was with me before and after surgery. Two days later i had to go back to their ER for complications. The ER nurses and staff were all very welcoming and caring. Dr. Asher again came in to visit me in the ER. I have had the best experience and i am so thankful for all the amazing nurses and staff.

I would like to take the time to share with people our experience of this hospital in the hopes of others having a better understanding of how great of a place this hospital really is. Recently we had to take my mother in through ER and from the time we arrived until the time we left our experience was one I’ll never forget. All of the doctors and nurses were the best of the best in service to us, words can’t really describe how grateful we are for the experience we had but I can assure you that we were able too experience the best of the best. Never would I have thought that we would receive such wonderful support but we are so grateful. From the time we arrived at the ER, we were immediately taken to a room and seen a doctor within 15 minute and immediately testing began within 45 minutes to an hour. We had results of a mass in my mother‘s lungs, and from the moment the doctor broke the news to us motions were put in to play for getting her admitted into the hospital and moving forward with scheduling for biopsy. Every single person, doctor or nurse that we had interaction with went beyond to help us emotionally in our situation. Doctors took the time to explain exactly what was going on with her through testing and were so good at getting her schedule for the testing in a timely manner, very Pleasant, they were so professional. Took time to explain everything and gave time for our questions. The nurses (wow)must say again best of the best always so pleasant, thoughtful, caring, no matter how busy they were if you called for them they took the time to take care of you, so helpful in every way, our experiences actually given me hope for our world again to know that people really do care as I’m writing this and sharing in the experience, it truly has touched my heart beyond words and has actually brought me to tears to know that we can actually count on a place that truly cares about us. The people, if I could give this place a 10 star I would in a heartbeat . So I hope that this helps somebody else out there that was wondering about this place as a hospital for service. Thank you Flagler hospital! God bless.

I had pacemaker replacement surgery on Thursday 1/11/24. The nursing team of John and Jess were outstanding! They made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. Both are very spirited and enjoy what they do!

My daughter came in for a medical emergency and was admitted! She also has anxiety 😥. The so call nurse Roger RN told her there was no such thing as anxiety and she needs to straighten up and deal with her health situation and calm down while being admitted!!!! Shame on that person who calls himself a nurse! By the time I got to my daughter she was unable to breathe!!! Full blown anxiety attack PLUS HER EMERGENCY HEALTH NEEDS 😡🥵 I’m a nurse and Roger needs to be suspended for retraining or FIRED!! He could’ve cost someone their life!!!!!
