We were looking for a clean, inexpensive place to just sleep, shower and leave early to see the sunrise over the fishing pier. I am bug-phobic and read the place has improved under the new owners and to ignore old reviews-- glad I did. I was assured no bugs and the lady suggested I look at the room first and I did my "inspection" and found it was clean and bug-free! The lady who was half my size, lol, even helped us carry our bags upstairs, service was outstanding--best ever!! Refrigerator and microwave in the room. The bed was comfortable. The room could use updating but I slept well and would definitely go back.

It's a pretty basic place, but they do very well with what they have. The rooms are nice and clean and as up to date as possible. The pool area is pleasant enough, and there's some shaded area and smoking areas outside. They are close enough to colonial old town that you could walk if you are brave enough. I would stay here again.

Great hotel! Loved the decor, quiet, clean. Walking distance to downtown/historic St. Augustine. Whetstone Chocolate shop nearby, restaurants nearby to walk to, highly recommend Mellow Mushroom. Friendly staff. Great stay!

The property has a new Owner and you can tell he takes immense pride in his Hotel. Very clean and comfortable. They even had some chocolate pieces for us and complimentary water. Recently updated bathroom and rooms.

Spent the night here for Night of Lights. I enjoyed everything about the stay. Always a huge risk staying at an independent owned. Not at all the case here. I'd certainly stay here again.

I would give this place 10/10 for their cat alone. The owners Dmiti and Leah are nice to talk too. The best part of staying in Anastasia is that it is right across the bridge from st Augustine. It will keep you away from the tourist rush and yet at the same time it won't take you more than 5 minutes to reach the city center. I look forward to staying again.

The front desk staff was very rude, I tried calling to see if this location offered conference room rentals and she blatantly hung up on me. Tried calling back again and spoke to the same woman who simply said "I can't help you". Like okay that's fine, can you direct me to someone who can?

The motel itself is fine but our wifi barely worked and it is right on a very noisy road so I don't recommend it if you are a light sleeper! You can walk over the Bridge of Lions and get to the historic district in 15 mins, and there are restaurants near the motel too so those are pluses.

The value here is unbeatable. We paid $110 for a room on a Saturday night, about 1/3 of the cost of most hotels in the area. Recently renovated, cold air conditioning, very clean, and comfortable beds. Also the lady at check in was so nice! Showed us to our room and was just great. Highly recommend this renovated hotel for your time in St Augustine, we will be back!

Room had been recently renovated with a cute throw back look. The room was clean and what I loved most was there was plenty of counter top to put things on. Long cabinet with oversized 55" tv, coffee machine which still had space on top and beneath, as well as a desk. Bathroom sink had extra space for toiletries and small table next to sink for extras. Cute refrigerator/freezer and microwave. We were very comfortable in the room. We only had to walk a short distance to the bridge then over the bridge to downtown. Once we parked, we never needed our car again until we left.

Although not glamorous, comfortable clean rooms in a convenient location to downtown. Ideal and affordable option. Hidden gem that I would stay at every time I come to St. Augustine. Owners are very friendly and generous. My only tip would be to change the shampoo and conditioner, kinda smells like chemicals. But that’s a travel size problem.

You can eat off the floor. Extremely clean. Friendly staff. I don't write reviews very often, but this place is deserving of one.

You should not read any reviews that are older than 10 or 11 months. This was a lovely place to stay, the owners are wonderful and Jek at the front desk was a joy, a true gentleman, he carried my bags for me and made sure the door key worked. The room was clean, had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker, all new and working great. I am single and traveling alone. Felt very safe and secure. I am staying for a week while my apartment is being repaired. Don't pass up one of St. Augustine's best keep secrets .

Despite the bad reviews. My wife, our 4 year old child and I, were very pleased with our stay here. The rooms were completely remodeled and kept clean. The staff was friendly.

Do not be misled by the name. There is nothing historic. However great little place, spotlessly clean, great location, literally 10 minute walk into the actual historic part of town. Superb restaurant directly across the road.

I am a pilot so traveling for a living is what I do. Hotels are like places away from home. this hotel has recently been redone and is extremely nice for the price I cannot believe it. Don’t be fooled by the former location and management the new owners have done an exceptional job redoing the bathrooms and putting a comfortable bed at this HOTEL!

I love this place. None of the furniture matches but it’s a vibe. The staff is super nice and it’s a great spot for the price. Walking distance from some cool stores and restaurants. Definitely our go to spot when we’re in town from now on.

A great value. Great location and caring hosts. The owner insisted on carrying our bags to our room for us. It's clean as a whistle and the owners accommodate in every way they can. Really glad we picked this place to stay.

We walked downtown to the Historic District and was very beautiful with views of the water as we walked over the Bridge of Lions. No worries about parking downtown, which can be a challenge. The location is awesome with great restaurants only steps away. The owners are wonderful and helpful and very nice. They go over and beyond if you need anything, The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and completely remodeled. Also had a Refrigerator, Coffee Maker, and microwave The outside is well cared for and freshly painted. The pool is clean and refreshing. We will be back for another perfect evening.

Super super clean like the feeling of brand new. My and my significant went there to enjoy the night of lights this was last night December 2022.owner said they were new.soo convenient to just walk over the bridge for the night of lights and the room had awesome emenities such as mini fridge with A Freezer microwave, plates, Kourig with two coffees, two bottles of water for making it, teas it was just soooo wholesome. Best thing is right when you get there they have a little mini tiki self serve right at the street so you could get there and people watch. Ps restaurants all in neighborhood from a pub, to casual, to finer dining

The motel is a great price (compared to the other options around St. Augustine). We booked 2 nights over the 4th of July weekend. We were given a second floor room. It was clean, but definitely still needing some TLC. The sink was pink and outdated and there were primarily cosmetic issues throughout the room. The bathroom door did not close flush with the door frame, leaving a gap you could see someone on the other side through. The bathroom was also several degrees hotter than the rest of the room. The shower was nice and hot though, but there weren't enough towels- only two full size ones. The bed was comfortable enough, but I will be bringing more pillows and possibly my own blanket if we stay again. The detergent they use was so overpowering it gave me a headache. Parking is free for guests making that a great perk, especially if you don't mind the walk across the bridge into downtown. You can save yourself $15 a day that way by not having to park in the parking garage. A microwave, pod coffee brewer, and mini fridge are provided, as well as a table for dining. The rooms downstairs were renovated and are nicer (we saw them in passing when checking out since the doors were open for the cleaning staff). I hope they decide to do the second floor as well, especially if they are charging the same for all rooms. I did request a room without carpet but that got ignored and/or missed at check-in. Bit of a downside is that you can hear a lot of street noise and the bar-goers across the street. ***PSA*** THERE ARE NO USB OUTLETS ANYWHERE!!! Be sure to bring a wall plug with your charger. We had to go buy one. Tl;dr... For the price (and free parking) it's nice enough to probably stay again, so long as I bring my own blanket and pillows and don't mind the extra walking and noise.

The room was extremely clean & bed was very comfortable. It’s also very convenient to the downtown, restaurants & the amphitheater venue. Price very reasonable & as I understand, this motel is under recent new ownership. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating of any request. I will go back!

Loved it! Comfy bed, great water pressure! The room was very clean! Though in a busy rd noise wasn’t an issue. The owners went above and beyond to make sure you were comfortable! She noticed I had no slippers on outside & ran inside to get me some sandals, so sweet & thoughtful! It’s close to everything! Walking distance to many attractions, historic sites, shopping, water…couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in this beautiful city!
