The curiosity to try something different brought us here and we were fascinated! We cannot say anything negative about the food's taste, texture, temperature, price and quantity served because everything was perfect. Thanks to Erica for the excellent service and professionalism and for making us feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

Great food and price! My husband and I ordered lunch platters that were huge and it was about $25 total. If we lived in Florida we'd eat there constantly. Quick service too, which I was worried about (they have a sign to be patient they're currently short staffed).

Excellent food and great customer service. This is a place where the locals go for fresh, tasty food and good price. There are lunch specials everyday. Homemade soups, fried or Cajun broiled catfish, Mahi Mahi, snapper, scallops, shrimp, gator and more. The place is always packed. I love it.

We were impressed at all the celebrities who have dined here, as listed on the menu. Excellent fresh large shrimp in the appetizer and salad. Their sauces and dressings were made in-house and were spot on. For example, the cocktail sauce was perfect and had enough kick from horseradish. The thousand island dressing wasn’t heavy on ketchup like at other places; you could taste the Hellmans. Just looking at it you knew they made it with love. We both ordered the cold shrimp salad and it was huge and delicious in a stunningly large bowl with delicious components. At the end of the meal we split the blackberry cobbler a la mode which was very warm and to die for. We came at 4 pm on Friday and the front room was 1/4 filled. By 5:00 the place was about 75% full with groups coming in. All the servers were friendly and hospitable. The vibe was “reminiscent of a country family restaurant where everybody wants to go,” says my husband. The decor was country Americana with a mural of a Florida lake on the back wall. If you watch reruns of the Andy Griffith show you’ll love this restaurant. Or if you love catfish, shrimp, flounder, scallops, chicken (Southern fried or grilled), steak Delmonico, chopped steak with onions, or even chicken livers prepared by the Betty Crocker kitchen then you’ll love this place. (Not sure if Betty knew her way around frog legs or gator tail bites—-in which case Catfish Place trumps Betty).

We have been here over a dozen times in the past year and have always had spectacular servers and great food. Until today! Christa needs to learn a few things about service and how to be kind. I could go into details but WOW!

I have drove a couple hours to get here. Have done it twice now and I plan on doing it again. This is truly a five star place in a comfortable atmosphere. I can not say enough good things about it. I had the best catfish I have ever had . You should of seen my face when I bit into it. Fried green tomatoes. Yummy 😋

I was really disappointed during this last visit to The Catfish Place. I visit them about once per year, when visiting the area. During this visit, I decided to order takeout from them instead of dining in. I ordered the shrimp and catfish family order. The catfish strips looked more like gnarled, thinly curled, hard-fried onion rings! They were super thin slivers of "fish"?? that were mostly hard and crunchy and completely devoid of any seasoning or even flavor! The plump and juicy shrimp were NOT hard and crunchy, like the fish slivers, but sadly, they, too, were devoid of any flavor or seasoning. Almost $63.00 and my family and I ultimately threw it out.

Humongous flounder sandwich! Great price for something that is technically shareable! The hush puppies were amazing! I'm so glad they encouraged me to use their house honey. Their tartar sauce was also spot on. Got to love the crinkled fries and sweet tea as well! I'm so glad I finally came here. Everyone from the host to the waitress and cashier person was filled with such Southern Charm and hospitality!

Have eaten their numerous times. Food is good, and is priced well. Does get very busy on weekends, especially Sunday after church. Week Days it's good to go after 3pm to 530. They sell shirts and novelties Catfish place merchandise.

Great first time experience at the Catfish Place! Service was quick and friendly. I tried the combo platter with Fried Clam Strips and Fried Boneless Catfish. For my sides, I had the Cheese Grits and Coleslaw. It comes standard with Hush Puppies, so unless you're looking for a big batch, no need to order (although I could have eaten a dozen since they were so perfect. I enjoyed my whole meal, but felt the clam strips were a bit heavy on the breading and lost some of the good clam flavor I was looking for. Although good, the cheese grits had an interesting taste at the end I could not place, sort of like coconut milk or something. Nevertheless, I did like everything and would return. I'd say the highlights of my first visit were the catfish and hush puppies.

Catfish 4.5/5 Flounder 1/5 Clam chowder 2/5 Gumbo soup 2/5 The service was great. She probably made the whole experience manageable. We came here and had 4 dinners. The quality of the food wasn't that great. Almost everything needed flavor or seasoning. It seemed like a lot of the food might be frozen. The catfish was about the only thing that was flavorful and good. We came here on a Sunday. Maybe we could go back during a slower day and try it again.

The menu has all the southern comfort foods that a girl could ask for. So much variety to choose from. Good portion size meals when taking it to-go. I wished they would've season /butter the corn ok the cob themselves rather have ny sister do it. The food was over fried and it was nicely seasoned. Definitely looking forward to coming back to try another meal.

My family and I went for supper. I want to start with the positive first. The atmosphere was a nice family setting. Our waitress was outstanding! My husbands and son-in-laws fish was great. My daughters shrimp was delicious she said. I ordered the oysters and my son-in-law also got oysters. They were absolutely horrible. I could not even eat one. My son-in-law had the same experience. You couldn’t even see an oyster inside the over cooked batter. Our waitress came over and offered to get us another batch. Brought those out and both of us had to spit it out in a napkin. Needless to say couldn’t eat either of the 4 orders of oysters. I am from the coast and have eaten oysters all my life and have never tasted anything as awful as the oysters we ordered. If you were to break open the fried oyster with batter, you couldn’t even see an oyster inside of most of them. Then the ones that you could see an oyster in looked like black goo. Was very bitter and nasty. It was a horrible experience. I really wish I would have taken a picture. Not sure if we’ll ever go back but if we do, we’ll be sure to only order the fish and shrimp. I will say they adjusted the ticket a little. Our waitress was very apologetic and offered several times to get us something else.

One of my favorite restaurants, for sure. I have been here a handful of times, whenever I’m in the area, and the food and service is always top notch. Very very delicious! The prices are also reasonable for the quantity and quality that is served.

The food is super overpriced. All that's served if over-fried seafood. The gator was a nice chunk but everything else was basic. I call BS on the whole 'where the locals eat' locals can't be that dumb. The restaurant must have had some deal with the air boat ride people, because the air boat captain lied about how good this place was.

Almost every time I come to kissimmee, I end up here. It's funny cause I'm from okeechobee and their fish is delivered from okeechobee. I definitely recommend coming before 5 pm. It gets packed after, and you will wait for your food easily over an hour, but good food and fair prices.

Food is really good. If you like southern fried catfish, shrimp and more you will Love the catfish place. We got the 4 item create your own which was enough for 2 to share. Only gave 4 stars because service was a little slow. Most likely they are short staffed like everywhere else.
