We
were
impressed
at
all
the
celebrities
who
have
dined
here,
as
listed
on
the
menu.
Excellent
fresh
large
shrimp
in
the
appetizer
and
salad.
Their
sauces
and
dressings
were
made
in-house
and
were
spot
on.
For
example,
the
cocktail
sauce
was
perfect
and
had
enough
kick
from
horseradish.
The
thousand
island
dressing
wasn’t
heavy
on
ketchup
like
at
other
places;
you
could
taste
the
Hellmans.
Just
looking
at
it
you
knew
they
made
it
with
love.
We
both
ordered
the
cold
shrimp
salad
and
it
was
huge
and
delicious
in
a
stunningly
large
bowl
with
delicious
components.
At
the
end
of
the
meal
we
split
the
blackberry
cobbler
a
la
mode
which
was
very
warm
and
to
die
for.
We
came
at
4
pm
on
Friday
and
the
front
room
was
1/4
filled.
By
5:00
the
place
was
about
75%
full
with
groups
coming
in.
All
the
servers
were
friendly
and
hospitable.
The
vibe
was
“reminiscent
of
a
country
family
restaurant
where
everybody
wants
to
go,”
says
my
husband.
The
decor
was
country
Americana
with
a
mural
of
a
Florida
lake
on
the
back
wall.
If
you
watch
reruns
of
the
Andy
Griffith
show
you’ll
love
this
restaurant.
Or
if
you
love
catfish,
shrimp,
flounder,
scallops,
chicken
(Southern
fried
or
grilled),
steak
Delmonico,
chopped
steak
with
onions,
or
even
chicken
livers
prepared
by
the
Betty
Crocker
kitchen
then
you’ll
love
this
place.
(Not
sure
if
Betty
knew
her
way
around
frog
legs
or
gator
tail
bites—-in
which
case
Catfish
Place
trumps
Betty).
