****HEADS UP !!! WARNING !!!!***** Twice in almost 8 months my sister and i have come across !!!juvenile cottonmouths!!! along the trails throughout. This is rather common for such an elusive snake! While a lovely effort for some conservation in a vastly expanding St. Cloud, there really should not be sitting amongst palmetto groves areas as there are at the beginning of this trail as this is ideal for snake territory hiding under fallen frons; a boardwalk throughout beginning just after the educational buildings would be a wiser construct as this seems an ideal sanctuary for cottonmouths and other venomous snakes. There REALLY needs to be more thorough safe, overcovering type construction and signs advising visitors namely unwary, uneducated, unaware and unexpecting tourists not raised snake aware to be extra cautious. This young cottonmouth bared its full mouth at me when in two steps i would have been bit had my sister not yanked me back. PLEASE BE AWARE. WE ARE FULL TIME, FL BORN RESIDENTS AND WILL NOT BE VISITING AGAIN DUE TO THIS PRESENT DANGER AND RESPECT FOR THE SNAKES NATURAL TERRITORY. IT SHOULD BE AN EXCLUSIVE BOARDWALK PRESERVE.

Nice small Nature Center in St. Cloud. Many things to offer like a Community Garden, Old School house with furniture of the times. An old canning Factory, hiking trails, three Boardwalks and an old Pier over water of a retention pond. Many benches along the trails to sit relax and maybe see animal life like Raccoons, Rabbits, or maybe a Turtle or two. Community Building has Bathrooms, water fountain and Conservation Staff to talk to about Nature. Many donated antiques stored inside main room. Hiking trails are a bit ruff as far as could be muddy and you may have to walk on planks or tree trunks laid down to make them more passable after rain. Trails are well kept by Staff. Bring your own drinking water bottle or a re=fillable bottle to fill at the water fountain in Community Center. I enjoyed my hike around the Orange Trail. Keep enjoying the outdoors. No fee to get in, and free Parking for a few cars.

Perfect place to getaway for a couple hours. Short trails, small wetland, benches, & plenty of shade. There is also a historical school house that was fun to look at. One of St. Cloud's hidden oases.

My daughters and I LOVED this Park. The welcome center is a trove of resources, including free seeds for wildflowers, veggies, helpful booklets for gardeners of all levels, and WAY more. Move on to the garden patch, complete with compost piles; a school house from the early 1900s, a canning house, picnic area, education center, two different nature walks and, again, WAY more. Scout troops apparently visit here often which is cute to see their little plaques as you walk through the trail. Two different trails to trek. Also, not “in” this park, but just a little further down on the same side of the road is a decent conventional playground as well.

Didn't know this was even here and what a surprise!! Beautiful nature trail. Lives being able to relax and take in nature. And the schoolhouse from the 1880s along with lots of other nostalgic buildings was unremarkable! We lived it!!

Really nice, relaxing place with a lot of history! The trail is closed right now due to recent flooding. Can't wait to go back and walk the trail! Nice place to just go and sit in the quiet of nature.

Cute little park with some more natural trails along with the manicured section. It includes an old school, a cannery, butterfly garden, lots of park benches and a community garden. Great place to take family photos

Beautiful potential! Great piece of land and nature reserve as well as gardens, but they need more TLC and funding to make it all it could be. The trail is not stroller friendly or people friendly a lot of time due to water draining through large sections through the trail making mud. A lot of mud! The structures on sight need some more maintenance and the gardens as well. You can see a small dedicated group of people work to keep things going but more help and funding is needed to bring it back to life. We will visit again.

Beautiful park and there is a trail leading to some beautiful places. The trail has not been maintained. We asked a city/park worker for the trail head and he said it is over there but I don’t know where it leads to. The trail goes through a beautiful area. There are wooden walkways and a pond overlook. Many large butterflies and flowers everywhere. The trail needs to be maintained as there are roots and Cyprus stumps making it necessary to watch every step. There are low hanging branches and thorny vines/branches through much of it. With regular maintenance this would be a fun, beautiful walk.

Such a beautiful and peaceful place. Thanks city of St. Cloud for keeping this gem in pristine conditions. All buildings are intact like you travel to the past. We're definitely coming back.
