I love grilled cheese, and I've had them all over the world.. But their jalapeno popper grilled cheese is by far one of the best, if not the best, I've ever had !!!! The service was fast and friendly. They have a full bar with a good beer selection. The restaurant is clean and has a really cool decor.. I would totally recommend it.. If your in the area you need to stop in and try one... Amazing !!!!!!!!!!

Really enjoyable place with a crazy-good selection of dishes. Definitely not your typical bar food. The staff is very warm and helpful. We will be making The White Horse part of our regular rotation.

I had an early dinner date with my daughter and mentioned the White Horse. With her being infatuated with horses, she, a 3yo, wanted to go to the White Horse. We went around 3:30, found a booth, and sat down. We were greeted right away and the server took our drink orders. The beer selection was decent, and they were able to accommodate and make a chocolate milk for my daughter. When we ordered I asked the server for a suggestion and without hesitation I was given a choice, and it was amazing. They offered to make buttered noodles for my daughter, which was not even on the menu. The meal came fast and was delicious. I will plan on returning again.

In the big picture, they get 4 stars. For St Cloud, they should get 5 stars. After being disappointed at many locations in St Cloud, these guys were a refreshing retreat. The area doesn't have much on the "high end" to offer, but here, the food was good. Good quality and good portions. They have a large beer selection. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Medium rare burger was perfectly cooked, but there wasn't a lot of flavor to it. My wife got the PBJ and did not care for it either. Id be willing to try again. The Thanksgiving burger looked delicious

Just recently moved to the area and the White Horse was recommended to me. I am glad that we are here. Food was great and plentiful. Our server was a blast and we had excellent service even when we got handed off to another gal. It was a little loud for my particular liking but we could still talk at our table without hollering.

Everything was very good. Walleye dinner super, large flaky filet. Best I've had anywhere. Great atmosphere. Very cool. Place was busy but the staff worked together well and all did a super job. Only negative, the Rachel sandwich....not so good. Had odd flavor.

A very nice restaurant in downtown St. Cloud. Good menu was very interesting with a mix of American, European and Asian fusion foods. I had curry fries and stir fried chicken and both were excellent. Not much crowd decent decor with no loud music made it a great destination for a dinner with colleagues.

We must have gone on a bad night. I had to send my drink back because it was missing the cinnamon and star anise that was supposed to give it flavor. The Pad Thai was so salty that i had to eat a bacon and cheese french fry to neutralize the salt. The chicken parmesan was good though so I'm giving the food 3 stars instead of 1. We asked for to go boxes and waited 30 minutes for waitress to return without boxes and ask if "everything's good?". Many empty tables so must be other things going on for staff. Hoped for a better experience for my first visit.

I am honestly a little surprised about the good reviews. Maybe I just went on a bad night. So, my friend and I shared Brussel sprouts; they had great flavor but were luke warm. Unsure how fresh they were but like I said good flavor. I was very excited about my Thai fried chicken sandwich but it was so incredibly disappointing. It was not tender at all, I should have sent it back. It was hard and there was zero flavor to it. It was almost kind of gross. The fries were super salty and pretty hard. Overall overpriced for low quality food. Service started out good, then we had to get her attention. By the end the place was busy and instead of kindly asking us to move on for others a different waitress came and took our glasses and kind of slammed them around. Super passive aggressive. Definitely don’t waste your time here.

Two of us were from South Carolina and flew up on business. Some were from the area and some from Duluth but we all met last Thursday night at The White Horse. The food was amazing. I dont like brussel sprouts but those spicy thai brussel sprouts were delicious. I got the bacon cheese fries as an appetizer. Just don't really agree with $1.00 for a cup of ranch. I do believe that should come with the plate. An extra cup sure charge extra. I got the pad thai entree and it was better than some thai restaurants I've ate at locally. We all had a blast and our waitress though I can't recall her name was fantastic all night. If i ever make it back up to St. Cloud I'll definitely stop in again.

I had high hopes. I have heard good things about this restaurant. Sorry to say my experience was less that good. It was busy the evening we went and we waited at least 1.5 hours for a seat. I was alright with that. The appetizers were really good. My dinner was 28.00 for salmon. No problem there I don't mind paying for good food. 45 minute later I received a small burnt piece of salmon, cold veggies and a less than warm baked potato. The butter wouldn't even melt on the veggies or the potato. Sorry to say I will not be going back.

Stopped in for a late dinner, great food, drinks and service. All the food came out hot and had good flavors, bartender had good recommendations for drinks. Just besure to pay the meter before you go in if you park on the street.

After traveling from Rochester through the first winter storm of the season, I drove downtown where the shimmering lights zigzagged across the street and found The White Horse. The name drew my curiosity and although I never did find a cohesive theme that made any sense, this place doesn't need one. The artwork was colorful and a contrast to the old building that left you open to possibilities. The menu had strong Thai influence, (owner was more comfortable with the term Asian), which they absolutely perfected and married with common bar entrees. The waitress Kayla was an absolute priceless gem. She was an experienced bartender and made me the best mojito I've ever been served. She assisted me with navigating the menu so I was able to have a full rating experience without going broke. The food came promptly and it was DELICIOUS! I was amazed at how well everything was prepared and the creativity the chef obviously had. The whole experience was just what I needed to make the last leg of my journey north. Thank you to all who made last night's dining experience possibe!

Nice place small town bar feeling. Service was great. It was fairly quiet while I was there so that was nice. The food was pretty good and the price was fair. I would eat there again someday.

I have been coming to this restaurant every Wednesday for lunch. I’ve done it for 2 years now, and I can say that there is no better place to eat in St. Cloud, and I would argue for the entire state of Minnesota. The more time I spend here, I am amazed at how consistent it is. The staff is always kind, they do their best to wait on you even if they are swamped, and I have never had a disappointing meal here. I recently found out I am moving out of state, and not having this weekly visit anymore is one of the hardest pills for me to swallow. If you’re looking for a place to become a regular, this is it. If you’re looking for a comforting meal during a hectic week, this is it. If you’re looking for a place that treats you like an old friend, drop by. I’ll wager any amount of money in my wallet that you’ll have a great experience. Do yourself a favor and order the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. But do yourself another favor and ask them to hold the tomatoes. 😛

Stay away….Worst service in a long time. The waitress did not even attempt to be friendly and was out right rude when we asked what was on tap and just pushed the tap menu toward us saying “it’s all right there!”. I understand you don’t have time to explain all the taps to every table but treating customers as she did was not necessary. The other staff seemed more into their phones than helping with anything else. This could have all been overlooked if the food was amazing, but the food was also not good. If I wanted a hockey puck on a bun I would have stayed home and made one myself. The wings were salty and the ziti was okay but nothing great. I would not recommend this place.

In the past I was always able to find a delicious vegan meal, but now, nothing is on the menu. We were passed off between different waiters, and had a hard time getting our bill. The busboy seemed angry as he was not very cautious with the tableware, and there were many loud, rude really, sounds from next to our table.

Great Food. My husband's medium rare hamburger was perfectly cooked and my walleye sandwich was HUGE. Great soup of the day, too.

This downtown spot has a front patio with several tables. We had a great server that was attentive. The food was really good. The food and beer menu was diverse. Lots of great MN brewed beer.

Moved away from this area several years ago, so this was a new place for me. Not a ton of variety on the menu, but good enough, and it tasted great! Nice selection of tap and bottle beers, plus wine. Old-fashioned bar vibe, but roomy and clean. I'd go back!

The staff here is attentive and very friendly. We had a group of 6 guest and everyone raved about their food and service. They have a variety of food choices, so everyone should be able to find something that they like. The flavors are bold and tasty. Overall great experience and choice for food in St. Cloud.

A surprisingly good place to eat. Most bar/resteraunts have so so food. This was excellent, we had a Rueben and a tuna melt. Both sandwiches were excellent. Also had a salmon potatoes bacon soup. And this was spicy and good with lots of salmon in it. The service was superb, with refill almost every time we drank. Highly recommended place.

While enjoying the St. Cloud Art Crawl, we had dinner at White Horse. I have to mention the Spicy Thai Steak Salad. It is definitely spicy! This is a $24 salad and worth every penny! Bravo!

Best 👏 food 👏 in 👏 cloud 👏. Been coming here for years and am never disappointed. Super friendly staff, always oing above &beyond to make sure your needs are met. I highly suggest getting an old fashioned, but if that's not your thing, they have an awesome selection of craft beer.

I'd never get a peanut butter and jelly burger but the server convinced me and I did not regret!!! I was with a large group and we'd been in meetings all day and were very hungry. The server was awesome. So excited about the menu. This is a locally-owned spot and although the menu is kind of all over the place, everyone loved what they had. The parking is street parking. The entrance is semi-accessible. The restrooms are gender-specific. They have one large high-top table for large groups.

I created a problem that the staff handled with grace and professionalism! They then followed up with a fantastic meal. I am grateful, and will sing their praises to anyone who will listen. Absolutely wonderful people, absolutely great food.

Best restaurant in St. Cloud by far, unique pairing of American fare plus Thai staples executed very well. Fast, knowledgeable and friendly team style service. Hopefully they can put some better wine selections to pair with this awesome cuisine.

Great food, fun atmosphere, plenty of beer and ciders on tap. I had a spicy chicken sandwich and a mango cider. It was fantastic! Grilled chicken breast, with homemade buffalo sauce and waffle fries what more can you ask for. For sure stop by and enjoy a good meal.

I have traveled all over the US. I stopped at this place because the offered a lot of veggie options. I brought all my crew here and they loved it as well. Great beer list, something for every kind of eater. Not only was the food great, but the staff i had the 2 different days i came were PHENOMENAL. Thanks so much for the kind staff and making my time in St. Cloud feel welcome. I will be back!

Amazing hidden gem in saint cloud! When my girl friend and I wanna go out for a date night, this is definitely one of the places we consider. They don't have a ton of seating, but the drinks and food are worth the wait.Extremely unique food options from Pho to mussels to pad Thai or a peanut butter burger, but also have staple burgers and amazing pastas. None of which is a generic version, they are all top tier versions that you can pair with an amazing drink or one of the many taps they offer. A little spendy, but you won't regret it.They also just brought back their pre-covid full menu,so if you haven't been... It's a must.
