This was probably the best authentic Mexican food I've had in a while. The chips, taco shells, and tortillas are all homemade. I couldn't believe it, everything was so freaking tasty. They have a very versatile drink station and an even bigger array of hot sauces. Big portions and good service. I'll definitely be coming back.

I ordered a breakfast sausage burrito, 2 shredded beef tacos, and a fish taco. Let me tell you it was so so good. I live like an hour away but it is so worth the drive to come here. Definitely will be a go to place when I’m craving tacos and burritos! They also have many other options for food. :)

I got the bean and cheese burrito with added shredded chicken and it might have been the best bean and cheese burrito I've ever had. It was so delicious. It was stuffed so full that I had filling all over my hands but I didn't care because it tasted so great. This was my first time going here and I can't wait to go back. I might not eat at any other restaurant for awhile because of how great my food was. I highly recommend Gilberto's.

We didn't think we'd find an open place to eat on a holiday and thankfully they were. Our service was quick and the food was extremely generous and tasty. The red salsa had a kick and our friend couldn't get enough of it and I loved the nopales pico.

Everything is made from scratch so service is a little slow. But the food is well worth the wait. The BEST Mexican food in Saint Cloud. Highly recommend the grilled chicken sope - an excellent and delicious menu item not found at other Mexican restaurants.

Holy Mother god!! This place is amazing. I have never In My LIFE had such a good burrito at 2 in the morning. Going to work, no where is open and off in the distance is the flashing light of an oasis. Open is blinking it's beacon of bacon and hope to me. They took my $8 and gave me a burrito the size of a small child, it came bundled in a humble brown paper sack and will forever live on in my warmest 2am in St Cloud memories

Ordered online through Google service. The food was ready shortly before the scheduled time for pick up. Street corn was delicious and hot out of the kitchen. Birra burrito with fried jalapeños and guacamole was flavorful and large enough to need 2 hands to eat!

This place is open 24/7 indoor and drive through. That alone makes it special when these days almost all of the 24 hour venues have shut down. Today I had the Mexican burger, and frankly did not like it. But I have had many other dishes here previously, and always found them tasty and portioned well for the price. Two key points about Gilberto's: they have the best elote I have ever had, and they have a salsa bar. I should also mention they have a large menu, with several items you do not find at "Americanized Mexican" resteraunts. A Mexican friend told me once that if you want authentic tasty food, go to the ones that look plain and shabby outside. The colorful ones that look like a Nexican parade on the outside are the ones to avoid. I have eaten Mexican from Texas to North Dakota and have found the sa e to be wise words. Gilberto's might be in the heart of the Midwest, but they are tasty and authentic.

Ordered chips and a 16oz container of red salsa. What we got was definitely not red salsa. It looked and smelled like broth, possibly broth that goes with Birria Taco. Drove there and back specifically for chips and salsa just to not be able to eat it. It was busy so I understand if it could have been a mistake.

Food was extremely bland. Portions were large, but everything looked and tasted the same. Tamales were super dry, and offered very little filling. Steak potion was huge, although Steak was tasteless and rather rubbery. There was enough for leftovers, but nobody wanted to finish their meal. I expected way better offerings.

After 15 hours of driving around the state hunting parts to fix a truck purchased there, then fixing it, I was exhausted and staving, I didn't want gas station food, but it's 3am. What do you do? You go to Gilberto's for some fantastic food at a spectacular price! I got the ham, egg, pico, and cheese burrito. Reminded me of a burrito joint I miss back in Colorado, but Gilberto's does them bigger. Took maybe 5 minutes from order to make my food, got awesome spicy salsa with. When I tell you this bag of food was almost 3 lbs, I mean it, and all for less than a tenner. Next time I'm in or passing through Minnesota, I will be visiting Gilberto's again, in my top 10 traveling treats. What are you waiting for? Go get some!

very good and always very nice staff, menu is extensive and it's authentic, horchata is a must every time we go, prices are fair and portions are very big, definitely have another meal with leftovers, me and my family love it, super fries were surprisingly one of my favorite things I've had

Food is amazing! But they can never get our order right. Make sure to double check before leaving if you do carry out. They have drive through! Which fits like three cars at a time. Creates a little line sometimes. Makes it harder to park and go inside the restaurant. Staff is okay. Atmosphere is cute.

Had the Sioux breakfast burrito. It has all the meats they offer. That said, it was surprisingly not overly greasy. These people know what they're doing and they prove it. Meal size was generous for a burrito. Those who have small stomachs will most definitely have leftovers. One other thing of note. Payment with a card has a 3% additional fee.

This is hands down the best Mexican food in Minnesota and some of the best I've ever had period. Food is also hot, tender, juicy, everything you want it to be. I particularly love the shredded beef burrito with a horchata or melon fresca. Service is phenomenally fast too! I'll eat here as long as I can.

Yet another awesome stop at Gilberto's!! We ordered fish taco, quesadillas with steak, and burrito supreme with shredded beef!! Absolutely Delicious!! Never a disappointing decision!! The service outstanding, as always, and the food is to die for. And the portions are krazy!! You get 4x the food that you would from anywhere else for the same amount of money.

Hard to beat this place for myriad reasons-- taste, value, and convenience. Open 24 hrs a day, huge menu and I've always loved whatever item I've selected. The combination plates range from $12-16 but are easily enough food for 2 adults, realistically. Excellent tamales and the condiment bar inside is a good reason to order in and eat there. A+!

Excellent and consistent food quality, friendly staff, large portions, and they have delicious bottled Coke!

this is my favorite restaurant but the last 3 times i’ve ordered their “queso” and got basically warm milk that sorta tasted like cheese. i know it’s not regular because i used to get it all the time and it was normal queso consistency but i’m really disappointed

We absolutely loved our meal here! Employees were very friendly, the food was delicious, and we received a lot of food for the price we payed- we definitely had leftovers! There is a large menu with plenty of options for everyone. We highly reccomend it here!

Always a treat to get some really great authentic food! You can’t beat that you can have it any time of day or night. Open 24 hours packs a snack attack crave any day of the week! My favorite places to get my fix!

Their food is outstanding. Best Mexican in St Cloud for sure. But I'm even happier that they are a business that is open 24 hours per day. After covid, all the other 24-hour businesses wimped out. Now every place is like a ghost town after 8:00. I'm sick of it. I'm giving Gilberto's all of my business simply because of that fact alone

I frickin love Gilberto's.. I have tacos de carnitas then a burrito carne asada or cabeza ,nice big glass of horchata or cup I mean.. what I'm saying is... Their food is the most authentic.. and I eat there four times a week.. some weeks.. great food , priced well , and it's always clean with a friendly staff.... Well it's time for a burrito followed down by a tamale and a chile relleno. Adios amigos!!!!! Viva Gilberto's!!!

Had a drive through!! The service was great! Got a chicken burrito! It very good and flavorful! The only low is that it was quite greasy. But other than that it was a great experience.

Used to be one of the most affordable places to eat in town. The quality of food sadly has gone down and prices continue to go up. The corn is good, but no dang way corn needs to be $5 a cob. That’s literally robbery at this point.

Stopped at 1 of the St. Cloud locations on a Friday night. Prices (& food) are good so they get busy AF. After a good 30-40 minutes of waiting (& several customers that ordered after me getting their food before me) I inquired about my lone $8 breakfast burrito, & lo & behold... it materialized a minute or so later. I guess if a Gilberto's location is super busy then their meat doesn't taste all dried out (like it does @ the much slower Blaine location the 1 time I went w/ someone.)
