It is an amazing place to have a great day, I loved to walk and see the trees with beautiful colors. Also, I enjoyed swimming but the water was cold.

Took the kids there twice this week and had a blast! Most people go there for the big cliff jump at Quarry 2 but there are SO many other cool places to explore and pools for younger kids. The beach is a perfect place for a family with young ones to relax. If your curious and adventurous and want to explore then this is a perfect place to visit. There are signs posted for certain dangers and restrictions but it's still a great environment where the staff aren't watching over your shoulder and you're allowed to venture off as you please. Not many places where you can have this much fun and only have to pay 5 dollars for parking. Most fun you can have for your money guaranteed!

One of the best county parks you can visit. This place is very cool and its rigth off the interstate. You do have to pay $5 to park but it is well worth it. Has awesome trails and scenery, lots of wildlife. There are numerous old quarys currently used to swim, fish or scuba. Remnants of the old quarry equipment are still on site.

Super place, mostly flat in the areas we encountered. Quarries are very dramatic & all the old equipment on the grounds are pretty fascinating. Definitely want to go back in the spring and summer! Beautiful park, accessible, just be prepared for the $5 parking fee.

Nice place, always good to hear about our history. You can swim/scuba dive in some of the small ponds in the summer. The granite pits are very beautiful.

A beautiful place to walk around and learn a little bit about granite history. See some of the old machinery with patent dates back in the early 1900s. There are also places for people to go swimming or just wander through nature. It was an amazing time I definitely will go back.

This park is one of the greatest hidden gems in Minnesota! With miles of trails for walking, biking and hiking there's always something new to explore. The wildlife is amazing and sometimes, it seems as though you are being observed by nature's critters more than the other way around. It's natural beauty is maintained just enough to be clean and neat but not so much to interfere with the actual environment for it's animal tenants. Trees a plenty, rarely another human in site, you can lose yourself in this "wilderness". Small Quarry ponds/lakes scattered throughout, a floating walkway to observe native bird populations; there really isn't much that this place doesn't do absolutely perfectly! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Side note: Parking is $5 a day or an annual pass for $25. Personally I think the annual pass is a little low for what this money helps maintain. Thank you Stearns County for this precious gift!

So I am from out of town, and this was the closest park to my hotel. Had good reviews from AllTrails, so I decided to go for a run before work. It’s five dollars to park, no big deal. I ran around the outer perimeter. It’s really nice park. Granted, it still winter time when I was there. All the granite, rocks and lakes, reminds me of west in the Rocky Mountains. I bet it’s really pretty in the summer.

Fun place to swim and hike. Biking is also allowed on some trails. There are a few picnic tables spread out through the park and by the two quarry ponds that you can swim in. There is no lifeguard, and the water gets really deep, so be careful. Pond #11 is more chill and has a small beach. Pond #2 has more cliff jumping areas. Water floaties are allowed. No dogs on trails or at swimming areas. Other quarries are used for fishing or scuba diving. Get there early on weekends because it fills up. Overall, great place to spend an afternoon in any season.

This place is a hidden gem! I was in town working and asked tons of people for tips on local attractions and not one mentioned this place. We hit it 2 days in a row and left happily exhausted. They didn’t allow dogs though so our puppy missed out.

Went on a Monday at open so I could get a hike in before I made my way to the beach area. Trails are wide & groomed, some gentle hills but mostly flat. Wonderful views of old quarry pits, forest & restored prairie. Seen some great birds & a family of deer right by the trail. Swimming beach was clean and everyone was having a great time. Water is deep so plan accordingly. Definitely will be back to Hike more & check out the SNA. There is a parking fee but we'll worth it!

Absolute gem of a park with two swimming holes and miles of well kept and well marked trails. Wonderful scenery while walking - be sure to check the lookout point in the southern part of the park!

the bodies of water are cool and clean to jump in and swim in. my fav is the bigger quarry, of course for the higher cliffs. they have updated a few things at the park since that last time ive been there 3 years ago. there are nice shelters and picnic areas. the park does look cleaner and is more open.

Well cared for and close enough to the cities for a nice drive! Enjoyed this in summer and winter - summertime is definitely busier but it’s a unique opportunity to swim in the quarries! You don’t know what you’re missing until you see this place for yourself

Great place to visit! Worth the $5 daily parking fee for sure. Plenty of paths along the various quarry sites. there's wildlife all around you including whitetail deer, chipmunks, squirrels, and birds. I didn't appreciate being followed around by a sheriff who then took a not so sneaky photo of me like a creep.

I adore Quarry Park, on this trip I headed around the park counter clockwise to get a different view. There are so many trails that it makes for a great evening walk.

Great walking on well marked trails. It used to be a granite quarry...so there are areas for fishing, rock climbing, scuba, swimming. Very few people so felt like we had the park to ourselves.

Absolutely gorgeous, clean grounds through out the park. Beach and quarry swimming area's were very nice and accommodating to all. Different environments and activities and walking paths. We got a yearly pass on our first visit.

Beautiful trails, safe for pets, trails are kept with crushed rock. Quarry 11 is good for swimming and diving and has a sand beach. Kid welcome with supervision. Fee for parking.

Really nice water for swimming, perfect cliffs for jumping and nice trails for walking or biking. I came here on a Tuesday and I had a lot of fun, although there were more people than wanted. I would not recommend going on a Saturday or Friday though, there would be way too many people.

We really enjoyed walking around the trails at the park. And with over 680 acres it is the best park in the county for adventure seekers, lovers of nature, and history nerds. Activities Include: Hiking Trails (which are dog friendly) Scenic Overlooks Picnic Areas Designated Swimming Quarries Mountain Bike Paths Rock Climbing Trout Fishing Scuba Diving Cross Country Ski Trails As you have probably figured out the park use to be a place to mine granite. At one time there were over 100 granite quarries in the area, and that is how St. Cloud became known as the granite city. There are even gray and pink rocks named St. Cloud Granite.

I love the Quarries. It's a great spot to hike and clear your head. I used to go there when I was young and never realized how big the park actually is. As of recent, I've noticed a lot of garbage floating around the park and it's such a shame.

Such a beautiful treasure. A well kept secret great walking trails and bike trails with two great added places to swim. You can easily spend the day here. Pack your favorite snacks and cooler on non alcoholic drinks with a few floates with some sunscreen, and you will have a fantastic day. A littme side note hring a wagon or a cooler with wheels. Its a bit of a walk to get to the quarry.

Beautiful and awsome. Its by far the best swimming hold around. You gotta respect the park rangers though. They do a good job of keeping the youngsters from having too much fun. I just wish they would allow adults to partake. If your a smoker just go back to the path, and away from the water. Please people! Let's be respectful and not litter!👀🧐

Popular swimming hole near St. Cloud. You can also learn about the history of the quarry mining that occurred here in the past. They have audio tours that you can use a QR code to access and listen to!! Very nice place to walk around on a sunny day!!

We take the kids a few times every year to go swimming and cliff jumping at the two swimming quarries. Sometimes the swimming beaches are packed with people, making it a pain waiting around to jump off on of the cliffs. The hiking trails throughout the park are a fun little walk. A few fishing quarries and bouldering areas are located around the park.

Since I'm currently posting this in 2020 just know there are space limitations due to covid 19 that you may want to check on before going. That said the park is very well kept up, the swimming areas are always nice and clean, and the trails are even and easy to follow. We always have a great time.
