This hotel deserves 5 stars for sure. I stayed there for 2 months. The front desk staff were always friendly , and ready to greet you as you walked in. Daily they could be found cleaning , sanitizing the lobby to make sure it was always clean. They also had the breakfast bar every morning stocked up with fresh food, fruits, juices, and so much more. The front desk clerk Maggie was very helpful always , and the lady with the awesome custom curls was always helpful as well. They were always professional about their business and making sure we felt at ease. The housekeeping was also a great bunch. Anytime I had a question they helped me to get it solved immediately. The whole staff was a great bunch and I was sad when I got reassigned. Great job at making the people who are far from home feel better.

It was very much over priced for how dirty it was. The only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because there was 2 ladies that I had seen during my stay. One was actually working. She wasn't entirely friendly but she wasn't rude by any means either. She didn't seem to care for her job. She didn't smile. It was the same with the overnight girl too. My room was nasty. There was hair in my fridge and my sister's fridge in a different room. The room was not vacuum very well. The bedding had hair in it and other STUFF. The shower was NOT clean nor was there any type of water pressure. The bathroom was pretty gross in general. I'm wondering if my room was cleaned before I checked in and after the last person left or if they just made the bed quick and put new towels and changed the garbage. I will NOT ever go there again. I never seen the hallways cleaned and heard a dog next door barking all night long. It was probably my worst stay in a hotel ever. So the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because if the 2 front desk ladies who clearly didn't like their jobs but still performed them even though it was without a smile. I think they are lacking house keeping all together. The windows to the building had not been cleaned for at least a year to. This hotel needs some work done. It really doesn't deserve 2 stars.

I loved our experience here. We rented a party room, and they could not have been more accommodating. The room had a fridge, a sink, plenty of room- and is adjacent to the pool which we made great use of. As well as the entryway which was spacious and inviting, and also contains a TV. It was the perfect place for our group of 20 or so family members to gather and celebrate together. Next I'll have to try renting one of the rooms.

Clean rooms that are pet friendly. Right off the interstate. Staff was very helpful. If you are looking for a high end room they are not. But we spent 3 nights. They were clean and comfortable. Clean bathrooms. They have a pool and hottub. We would definitely stay again.

Cleanliness is terrible. My toilet in my room was not cleaned and had feces on and in it. I went to the front desk and they GLADLY gave me cleaning supplies to take care of it. Room smelled like gasoline. Sheets in my room were clean but others in our group had to leave the hotel because there were scabs/hair in the sheets in two separate rooms. Pool kept hurting children’s feet. Bandaids were used for cuts in their feet. Party room had to be cleaned by us before we could even begin to use it.

My pets loved it here! Sweet staff and nice, pretty rooms. Also the TV channels were great.

Hotel is very outdated, rooms don’t get cleaned very well. The walls were insanely dirty, dust and spider webs hanging from the ceiling. You could see the dirt in the carpet. The breakfast we had was not very good, all the milk and yogurt was expired. On the good side, the service was great and the location was too

If i could rate this hotel a ZERO.. I definitely would! I went here for my daughters 8th birthday party. The kids had a lot of fun in the pool. Our room smelled like dirty feet but whatever. It was me and 7 girls aged 4-10, and my son was also there he's 12. Well the morning we were checking out.. I was cleaning the room and gathering our belongings. I slept on the pull out couch, which by the way was the most uncomfortable thing ever, but that's besides the pond.. as I was folding it back up into a couch, I found a condom wrapper. I gave it to the front desk lady I forgot her name.. she sort of laughed as she said "I'm so sorry about that" well once my husband found out what was under the couch, he immediately drove to the hotel to get a refund for finding something so nasty and there were little girls sleeping by that... the lady told my husband that the manager comes at 3 and she can give the refund. Okay so we pack up and leave. My husband called the hotel a little after 3 to speak with Maggie, the manager. She told us we trashed the room and she isn't giving us a refund because I didn't turn the condom wrapper in until the day we were leaving and not right away. Well duhhhhhh cuz I never saw it right away. My husband argued with Maggie for about 30 minutes, she also said that she found a USED CONDOM in MY garbage after I left and she took pictures.. first of all.. they have cameras where they can see who comes in and out the room. Which was myself plus 7 girls and my son! She refuses to give us a refund. I will never ever be back to this dump and I'll never recommend it to ANYONE! As far as I know from experience, they have to listen to the customer and not accuse them of lying. The whole thing is just ridiculous. TRASH 🚮

I booked a one-day stay through Expedia that was screwed up from the get-go. The booking was supposed to be for a Saturday somehow got booked for a Friday. I showed up on Saturday for my room and was told there wasn't one available. After a long back and forth in the lobby with Expedia and the manager which was recorded on my phone, both parties agreed to give me a refund and the manager requested that I stay with them that Saturday. After a back and forth with the manager, I didn't get the jacuzzi suite that I originally wanted but I chose to stay with them even though I could have went across the street to the Holiday inn and got a jacuzzi suite because she promised me I'd get my refund back Got to my first room in the beds weren't made in the pillows were disgusting. Requested a second room which was much better. Fast forward to a week later and I've been double charged for both rooms and have spent the majority of my day on the phone with both Expedia and Americinn who want to place to blame on each other and both refuse to give me my refund. For someone who travels 3 to 4 times a month, I promise I will never do business with either of these companies again.

Would give zero stars if I could. I was charged twice for my stay here, and after a week of calling to get the issue resolved, am still getting the runaround. The room was not very clean. Will never stay at this chain again.

After a long travel day trying to get back to WI, we decided to book a room at this hotel to sleep. I should’ve actually listened to the previous reviews and steered clear. We arrived, after a horrible experience at the McDonald’s next door. Ready to check in and relax. The parking lot was full of truckers and semi’s.. ok fine. I check-in after a longer process due to them training someone.. I was a little impatient due to the long travel day but okay fine. We arrive in our room and there’s bugs in the hot tub in the room and the shower tub in the bathroom. I alert the front desk lady, who was very nice, and she assured me it was just water beetles. I let my husband know and he was weary but said ok. My husband proceeded to check the sheets and realized they had stains on it and the walls were covered in stains just like the previous reviews have stated. I ended up calling the front desk to let them know about the sheets and she insisted on coming to change them herself but we just couldn’t stay here on the last night of our honeymoon travels. I paid cash so she said it would be difficult to get my money back due to it being in a safe she didn’t have access to. In the end, we did get our money back. Lesson learned.. read all reviews, this is 100% not worth $175 (!!!!!!!!!!) a night and honestly just steer clear of this exit in St. Cloud, MN. (Photos of the bugs in the trash after my husband got them out of the tub)

The price was very reasonable. The room was clean and comfortable. The internet stayed connected. I was able to park close to right outside the door. I liked that I could walk from my room to the restaurant without leaving the building. If i wanted, there was a noodles & co. and an Arby's within walking distance. I will stay here next time i am in town.

There was broken and wobbling furniture we found the whirlpool tub doesn't work and had pieces falling off and panels flopping on the tub. Closet had big holes in it from damage. The door to the bathroom was broken. Old nasty couch in the room with stains on it. If this was my hotel I'd be ashamed. Especially for 160 dollars a night.

We were in room 102. It was nasty. Stains all over all of the walls (I took pics of just a few), bathtub floor was slimy and our "non smoking room" had a very strong odor of smoke. We were there with a group of people, 3/4 rooms had stains everywhere.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and the pool area is fantastic. Great breakfast too! Convenient location right off the highway. Highly recommend coming to this location.

Staff what very thoughtful, attentive and thorough. We have always preferred American Inn because the prices and service have always been a preferred hotel for our family. After a very long road trip we arrived and we're treated exceptionally kind. room is great, staff amazing, hot tub was exactly what was needed..

Requested a pet free room, got into room, had a rancid smell, mildew noted in the shower, paint peeling off bathroom door, and garbage/trays left in hallway for an extended period of time(hours). Sore throat not sure if it was from the smell or the dryness of the air. Breakfast attendant was pleasant. Writing a review so I know not to visit again.

There's really nothing I could complain about. Staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived around 10 PM (my dog even got a treat out of it). The pet charge is $15. For being so close to the I-94 I really couldn't hear the highway. Everything was clean and comfortable. Not everything was beautiful, but the room gets use and I certainly don't expect them to replace everything as soon as it looks slightly out of date. I would go back.

Came up to the reception and no one was there, 10 minutes later this tall white girl was walking from the store nearby and through the hotel main door. I thought she was a guest, turns out she was the employee. She was rude and had an attitude. Will surely not going to recommend this hotel to anyone. The receptionist in morning time is the rudest facility ive ever met. I rather sleep in my car.

Hotels is pretty nice from the outside and the rooms aren't bad. Except for the fact that there is a giant jacuzzi in the room hah. Wouldn't care if I was just staying for the night but long stays it kind of sucks. Also not sure if the employees should be sitting in the lounge area with their feet on the furniture playing on their phone.

Every stay I've had at an AmericInn has been great and the St. Cloud one is no exception. The breakfasts vary from one AmericInn to another. This one had unique green/grey sausages that looked kind of scary. Not sure if it was actual meat. But if that's all I have to complain about, I'd say they're doing a great job!

DON'T STAY HERE I made a reservation and called to confirm it, also to check if they had any king rooms available. I called at 9AM and got no answer! So I continued to call for another few hours and still no answer....finally got someone to pick up and she asked if I could hold. As I was waiting I could here the receptionist talking to a customer that was there. I heard the conversation end and continued to wait. After 10 minutes of waiting I said screw it hung up and tried calling back....again no answer. I continued to call throughout the rest of the day and never got anybody to answer. So we took our business elsewhere.. I won't give my business to a hotel that doesn't have the decency to answer a phone. I will never attempt to make a reservation here again!

I had to cancel a booking and figured they would charge me a cancellation fee. I talked on the phone with Shawn at the front desk. Did an amazing job explaining everything and was very friendly. Received emails very shortly after. Great staff!

Great quality for the price. The staff was kind, accommodating, and very pet friendly! Breakfast was better than what I see in most hotels these days.
