My husband and I both bought the “discover scuba” package, which was a beginners-level where we went in through the shore and learned how to scuba! Our instructor (I want to say his name was Mark) was SO SO patient with us, since the hubby never went scuba diving and I am honestly afraid of water. He helped me overcome my fear and within the hour I was doing something that I NEVER thought I would ever do!!! This was a once in a lifetime experience that I will NEVER ever forget, and I am so thankful that the instructor was so patient (and even let me hold his hand when I got nervous in the water!) They were also the best price in the island!

Took hubby out to dive the wall on short notice. Great people. I snorkeled while he drove. Beautiful beach. Nice people.

I don't even know how to fit into words how above and beyond the team at Cane Bay went to guarantee that my dive group had an amazing time in St. Croix. Captain Ken took us to some of the most beautiful places under water imaginable. Their boat IBIS is the cleanest, most organized, and welcoming vessel I have ever had the opportunity to be on. Jason, Moe, Carroll, John, Lauren, Jimmy, and Ken made sure that our equipment was ready, and that we could do nothing but sit back and enjoy our time. Truly concierge service. I can not express enough that this team went above and beyond to make our time in St. Croix the best it could be. NO other boat team has EVER treated us as good as this team, and we have been diving with some of the best. The shop offers a selection of equipment, classes, tools, and souvenir tshirts. Anything we forgot they had, anything that needed to be fixed they were able to help us. Rental equipment was in great shape and well taken care of. Following an unexpected flight cancellation, Ken and the team were able to help nine of us find a place to stay when American Airlines just ignored us. Cane Bay offered to help, even after the bill was paid and our time was done. Cane Bay Dive Shop is the reason we will return to St. Croix. While we loved our trip... We all want to dive with them again .

We spent a week with Ken, Mo, Carol, John, Jason on the Ibis, they were awesome, full of energy, knowledgeable, knew the best spots to find wildlife, knew where to find the best food, they assembled our scuba gear for us and showed us Caribbean hospitality. I wouldn’t go with any other dive shop. The cookies were absolutely magnificent thanks to Susan, Cole, Al, Thank you for a great week!

Safe, fun, honest and reliable dive shop. In 2019, my daughter (11 years old at the time) and I got SCUBA certified in Hawaii. Then COVID hit, trips were cancelled, and we were unable to go out again until we were on a cruise in the Spring 2022. Back home, we took a SCUBA refresher and signed up with Cane Bay Dive Shop through the cruise ship. I'm really glad that we did, as everyone with the company was extremely nice. It was supposed to be a shipwreck dive, but they determined the current was too rough to safely complete it, so we did a dive at a couple of really cool reefs where we saw a lot of sea life including sea turtles, lion fish, and rays. Although I was disappointed to miss the wrecks, I appreciate skipping them, because as new divers, I didn't want to put myself or my daughter in danger. Although we were fairly inexperience and the dive instructor kept an eye on us, he wasn't over bearing, especially when he realized we knew what we were doing, for the most part. I also liked that the crew set up our tanks and gear for both dives, which, let's admit it, is the worst part of SCUBA diving. Finally, it was nice that they had a professional photographer on the dive, as my underwater photos with a go-pro knock-off paled in comparison to his photos. Last but not least, my daughter and I left our masks and snorkels on the dive boat, and didn't realize it until we were packing to go home 5 days later. I contacted the dive company and they were able to find our equipment and mailed it back to our home. That's really going above and beyond! If you are visiting the U.S. Virgin Islands, you can't go wrong with Cane Bay Dive Shop.

Cane Bay Dive Shop in Frederiksted St Croix USVI is located on the west end of the island. When I got to St Croix, I started inquiring about local dive shops and more than on had good reviews. So, I drove around checking them out. I was sold when I went to the Salt River Marina and saw the Ibis, the dive boat belonging to Cane Bay Dives. The boat was clean, well organized, with nice amenities at a centrally located area on the island. I began diving on the Ibis and felt well cared for by the competent crew including Captain Ken, dive masters Jason, John, and Ken (from Alabama), and Bill Hein the photographer and diver master. After 20+ dives I am still glad that I chose Cane Bay. Cane Bay Dive Shop also has a shop with equipment and tank rentals, as well as sales. They also offer shore dives, night dives, and various certification courses. I readily recommend Cane Bay Dive Shop and the Ibis. Looking forward to many more great experiences with them.

I can't begin to say enough about the people who are Cane Bay. Suzanne's boat cookies and island kindness, Hal's readiness with all manner of equipment, Captain Ken's extensive knowledge of the reefs, life, and history of this island paradise; Mo, Carol, John, Jason, Lauren, and all of the DMs and shop staff were kind, patient, helpful, ready, and enthusiastically in love with St. Croix. When our flight to the mainland was cancelled, a quick call to the shop and they helped find us a hotel to accommodate our entire dive group! And the IBIS, the grand dame of the company. A sturdy, spacious, powerful, and well equipped vessel who ferried us to and from all corners of the island. Thanks and gratitude are not enough. Go to St. Croix, visit Cane Bay, dive the IBIS, and see for yourself. Tell them that the Cape Coral Divers sent you.

Awesome shop! Good prices! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Told us exactly where to go for beautiful snorkeling. I would highly recommend these guys! They even watched our backpacks while we were out in the water.

So my girlfriend and myself did an intro to scuba diving session with Cane Bay and overall it was a medicore experience. The staff working in the store are very polite, friendly and courteous. The price is also very reasonable. The store itself is very nice and they sell a lot of good stuff. I give the store and staff five stars all day long. The reason for the the four stars are because we weren’t thrilled with our scuba diving experience. Neither of us have ever done it and I felt like not much attention was paid to us, and it seemed like 30 minutes of trying to keep up with the instructor as we swam through the area. My girlfriend was having problems equalizing her ears and not once did the instructor come back to check or assist her, so she had a miserable time. What I would suggest for people like us, is to make sure you express your concerns and assure that the instructor stay close by to see to any problems while in the water. There were some points that I couldn’t even see the instructor, but did not want to stray too far from my girlfriend, so I had to play catch up most of the dive. I would think the instructor should have done the same? Maybe i’m crazy, but I know thats how I would have done it. Especially if I wanted to have some tips thrown my way. I do recommend scuba diving with this place, so don’t misunderstand me. Just make sure your instructor knows that they work for you. Have fun and enjoy your vacation. St. Croix is a beautiful island.

My husband, son and I signed up for a refresher course as it's been 2 years since our last dive. We had a great experience with this laid back little shop in Frederiksted. Our dive master, Demerit, was super knowledgeable and chill. I had a bit of a panic when we got started and he knew how to handle it and I eventually got comfortable in the water and the dive by the pier is absolutely spectacular. It's like diving in an aquarium. They also have fabulous St Croix branded Christmas ornaments in the shop. Highly recommend!

Great experience with Canebay SCUBA. The guide/instructor Jason is fantastic. He let my brother n law and myself ( he’s an AOW diver & I am an Instructor)join my family when they did Discover SCUBA. He is an excellent trainer and guide. Highly recommend going here.

Booked a 2-tank boat dive with this dive shop initially to dive the Wall. Those dives were amazing - we saw fantastic wildlife, but the most relevant part of the dives to the shop itself is how incredibly patient and thoughtful the Dive Master we dove with (John) was regarding our comfort levels. I personally had never dove with sharks before, and was nervous about it. I tend to be a nervous diver anyway, and John discussed with me beforehand some breathing exercises that he would cue me to do underwater. He did this, and the rate I was using my air was cut by 60% on the second half of the first dive. On the second dive, he again worked with me on my breathing, and made sure to check on me when we saw the sharks to ensure I was doing ok and not panicking. With his excellent guidance, I was able to increase my dive time by 25% for the second dive. My husband and I also planned to do a shore dive of Frederiksted Pier, but were undecided as to whether we should do it guided or unguided. I called and spoke to John, who very kindly advised us to do it alone in order to further our diving skills as a buddy team. He gave us great advice and took the time to talk us through our plan on the phone, rather than simply take our money for a guided dive where we wouldn't need a guide. This honesty and prioritisation of our skills and learning over making money is why we'll always dive with Cane Bay Dive Shop in future trips!!!

I can’t say enough great things about this company! My family of 4 (2 boy ages 15 & 12) are new to scuba diving. We did our elearning at home and then flew to St. Croix to finish our certification with Cane Bay Dive Shop. The shop itself has very helpful and friendly staff and great gear. Our instructor Tina was fabulous. My youngest son is typically very anxious and gets frustrated very easily. She was so wonderful with him the whole time! We did out dives at the pier and then headed out the next day for our boat dive. It was absolutely beautiful! Tina made sure we were fine on a regular basis and did a great job pointing out all the interesting things to see. The boat captain and crew were very friendly and helpful as wellI and we felt very safe the entire trip with this company. The photographer Bill was wonderful! He captured pictures of our family and also ocean life. We decided not to take a Go-Pro since this was our first experience and we had other things to be mindful of. Not only are we now certified divers, but this experience was so much better than any of us could have expected! We will definitely be back! Incredible afternoon! Our group was able to dive or snorkel, depending on skillset. Everyone had a great trip and saw some amazing ocean life. The dive masters were skilled and great guides. One of the most relaxing and fun trips we've ever taken. Also, highly recommend their discovery class if you are interested in diving, but not certified. Everything was extremely affordable, especially for the level of experience the dive masters and captain had. The owner even made a delicious spread of homemade snacks and treats. We highly recommend Cane Bay Dive Shop!!
