Beautiful place with nice beaches but only open until 4pm on weekends and totally closed for a few months each year for turtle nesting. See my picture for hours. Friendly and helpful park ranger. Definitely worth a visit if you can time it right.

Great beach to visit with a boat! Current can be strong on the east end but if you anchor off the North of the point you're well sheltered

Unfortunately the sandy point national wildlife refuge is only open Saturdays and Sundays, seasonally, so we did not actually get to visit. maybe next time. I like that they have a sign stating the numbers of the three different kinds of sea turtles that have hatched along this beach in the last couple of years.

Conditions of the surf and beach entry change from week to week. Very pristine and expansive beach. For first time visitors, there is no shade and umbrellas or shade features that have to be pushed into the sand are prohibited. Sandy Point is only open on weekends and is closed several months during turtle nesting season.

Great spot to relax on the beach with course sand and pale blue waters. Just keep in mind that the area is closed from April through August. Also note that there's limited shade and beach umbrellas and other things should not be poked into the ground to protect turtle nests year round.

What a great day to venture out to this oasis of blue water and white sand. Very serene and relaxing. Make sure to take something for shade and to sit on. Water gets deep very quickly also. 2 or 3 hours of this is amazing for the soul as there is nothing around. Enjoy!

Absolutely beautiful place. The beaches are beyond incredible - the different blues in the water are mesmerizing. So glad we were able to make it here!

There are three parking areas that offer access to different beaches. Only the steep, northern beach had any people on this sunny Saturday. The white sand is soft and deep.

Bee-u-tee-full! Because just saying beautiful hardly describes the north beach at Sandy Point. My cousins brought me here for a wonderful afternoon of fun and sun. The mampee loves the taste of my Texas skin, but thankfully I met this super cool lady, Dr. Marni, that hooked me up with bug spray, soothing ointment, and bug repellent. If you do come here, bring your own shade.

Most Serene and beautiful place on the west of the island. Pristine nesting grounds for see turtles make this a great spot, although it is closed April through late summer so the titles aren't disturbed. I LOVED this place. Our condo was the closest building to it, and it provided a great view.

The path to the beach is in the rougher side. Definitely more built for a jeep or truck. However the beach is extremely beautiful.

Amazing views of endless turquoise waters and constant breeze. This beach is very exclusive and takes some effort to get to so it makes it more private experience. Bring all your sunblock, snacks, drinks and water toys for the journey to the water. Beach is sandy but steep. Water is usually calm but cloudy so don't bother with your snorkel gear.

Great beach if you like medium waves. Not North Shore Hawaii or Jamaica. Just nice medium waves. There are also tons of large conch type seashells to be found everywhere. Only down side is no amenaties or shade, but hey, it's a national wildlife refuge not the Marriott. Have some fun in the sun. Be sure to bring a chair.

Went October 9th 2021. First 2 parking areas have small beaches with rough waters (murky but pretty). The last parking area has a long stretch of sand with calm swimmable water; gorgeous (kind of tied with Buck island). Turltle nests all over. An employee comes around on an ATV at the end of the day to tell you to pack it up. Beach is currently only open 10am to 4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Well worth the long gravel road in; was able to drive it in a small car with no problem.

Beautiful beach! Not much snorkeling here, but One of the largest and nicest sand beaches of St Croix. Only open on the weekends during certain months of the year though.

Stunning. Nature at its best. The water was a little too rough and current was a little strong for me, but my daughter loved it. We both loved a long walk along the shore to the point. Ranger was informative and helpful and patrolling to make sure people follow the rules. Check to make sure it is open, nature comes first here.
