Wow,
after
10
days
on
the
island
and
eating
at
more
than
a
dozen
places,
we've
found
the
best
food
here
at
the
food
truck
under
the
giant
mango
tree.
We
noticed
the
truck
with
a
long
line
of
people
waiting
(all
wearing
masks)
when
we
parked
nearby
to
stroll
through
town
a
few
days
earlier.
There's
no
meat
but
great
seafood
(and
veggie)
choices.
We
got
three
plates
that
were
more
than
enough
for
4
people:
grilled
shrimp
perfectly
cooked
with
just
a
little
grill
char;
pot
fish
that
was
beautifully
cooked
with
a
kind
of
gravy
that
tasted
of
peppers
and
a
hint
of
peanut;
and
conch
that
was
tender
and
flavorful,
reminding
us
of
sea
scallops.
The
sides
were
no
afterthought:
seasoned
rice
that
was
like
a
risotto,
fresh
salad,
vegetables
seasoned
and
cooked
just
right,
a
little
pasta
and
a
choice
of
corn
or
lentils.
There
was
also
a
slice
of
coffee
cake
for
dessert.
And
don't
forget
the
drinks.
We
tried
our
first
seamoss
drink
and
peanut
punch
and
loved
them.
Also
got
a
tamarind
drink
and
a
ginger
drink
that
was
nice
and
spicy.
Corine
was
patient
and
friendly
with
all
our
questions.
If
we
lived
here,
we
would
join
the
locals
in
line
at
least
once
a
week.
Just
remember,
it
is
cash
only.
