Honestly, I thought this was a small seafood village. I was surprised to see it was an open seafood restaurant. The location is ideal, that is right on the beach. The scenery can be lovely but this location the water is rough so the color has a muddy hue. The service during my visit was very poor. It was so chaotic, I threatened my party that I was leaving. There wasn't any organization on where or who will take your order. There wasn't any clear instructions on how to do so. Do you sit and a waiter take your orders? When do you pay before service or after? Where do you put in your order? Do you select your fresh seafood? The staff were as confused as the customers that led to conflicts and extremely bad service. Personally, I will never return or refer this place. Oh...Extremely unsanitary as well.

Yummy food in a relaxing atmosphere. Must have time to chill and relax. Food is made to order, so, order a soup, some drinks and enjoy watching the waves ebb and flow while the local fishermen are busy bringing in their catch. You can also buy fresh fish and lobster while you wait. Great vibes with chill music being played in the background. We will definitely return.

My experience was horrible. I had to wait two hours before getting my order. I ordered the jerk fish and it was black and tasted horrible, the fish was seasoned with only escallion. I did not enjoy my meal, the only good thing was the steamed bammy. Please stay away from the Jerk fish and the grilled lobster. Personally I will never go back there.

Wonderful food and great customer service

Amazing experience. It is one of the most tranquil, peaceful and naturally beautiful spots on the beach in Jamaica. It took us about 2.5 hours to drive from Kingston but it was worth every minute. When we arrived, we had to choose a fish from some large ice freezer, the chef came out and asked us how we wanted it prepared. Once we decided, we were escorted to the bar area to choose our drinks. From there we selected one of the open huts which was available. Lunch was brought to us in large platters by a very pleasant waitress. The food was amazing. Highly recommend it.

Customer service awful beyond!!! Atmosphere needs upgrading and that fridge is the front with fish all thrown in there needs a better system I never take from there. The best thing about this place for me is the jerk fish like on the real it’s crazy crazy GOOD and that’s the only positive is have to say about little ochi.

It's always a great place to go. Went there right before Beryl hit the island. The chef was very pleasant. It was almost closing time, but they accommodated us, most part food was good, but the bar was not so welcoming

An authentic seaside/fishing village dining experience 😊 the food is ALWAYS good, that combined with the vibe and ambiance make it worth the drive. Go there when: you want a little drive to the not touristy, not busy, rustic Jamsica, when you don't mind sightseeing agricultural land and rural communities on your way down, when you want to get away a bit, and finally when you want good seafood (you even get to choose your fish, with guidance if you need it of course).

This was my second time visiting and both times the food was awesome! The staff is friendly and ensures you're being served and satisfied. We called in our order and by the time we arrived our order was ready. The stalls in the bathroom are very small but the bathroom was clean and tidy. There are hand washing and sanitization stations. The restaurant is beside the sea with gazebos for dining. A nice setting for a day trip for family, two people or just yourself.

Been going there for over 20 years. You can't beat the quality food and the original seaside ambiance. Easily my favourite seafood one stop. Top chef for new us Roger, been coining for me for 20 years.

Even though the seating areas could get some TLC I still think it's a very nice hideaway with arguably the best seafood I've had, the prices are friendly and the staff is attractive and cordial, make sure you try the jerk fish with steam bammy

Wonderful food... although it took a while to prepare, it was worth the wait.

Food was a hit!!! So you forget about the wait, though the wait time is to prepare the food as you select the items, then it's prepared to order. I had the jerk snapper for the first time, and can I tell you... you got to get it when you visit!! Also, I had the fried lobster, which was also good, and the sauce with the lobster is absolutely delicious!! For sides, I had steamed bammy and festival, both tasted goood! I can't end without mentioning the drinks from Upper Deck bar (Hope I remembered correctly)...they were littt!!

Absolutely amazing food. I just want to pack the cooks in my suitcase and take them home with me.lol... The food was very flavorful and the seating area was a nice beach setting. You got to pick the seafood you wanted out of the cooler. I would highly recommend this place and wish I was able to eat here again before I left.

My family and I went here the food was awesome. I loved how you got to pick the seafood fresh. you sit outside under the stars by the beach and have a great time with also music. Not to mention its absolutely gorgeous!

Delicious food and great service

The famous Little Ochie serves up a spectacular view and delicious seafood done to order. The jerk fish and jerk corn are amazing. The lobster is fantastic. The cabanas made of wood and dried coconut leaves, with varied sizes and shapes such as fishing boats, are strategially placed so that everyone can take in the ocean view in all its spectacle. The restrooms are clean and there is an icecream shop close by. Good Job to the managers and owner for maintaining an awesome chill spot which both locals and tourist can enjoy.

Whew!! Seafood anyway you like it. Visit this untouched part of Jamaica...Alligator Pond. It's exciting to select your fish or other seafood from the refrigerator and have it prepared from scratch. The food is sumptuous and the staff is friendly. The atmosphere - right on the beach is the icing on the cake. Twas a wonderful weekend for my family

The ambiance is lovely. I had to wait a while for the food to be prepared, but it was worth the wait. My fish was delicious. I had brown stew as usual. If you're a fish lover and you're looking for a place to hang out with family, friends or you want to take a special someone on a date. This is an excellent spot to do so. Just walk with a decent amount of money. As you know, fish is expensive and if you love the big ones like me, then plan to spend some big money. This is one of my favorite chill spots❤.

Fish seems a bit expensive, but typical for a tourist spot, and people try to sell you stuff the whole time while you're there. It's not a bad spot but it needs some money spent on it... it literally feels exactly the same as it was when I last came 7 years ago. It would also be much better if you could be left in peace to enjoy the fish and the sea without being pestered by people trying to sell you stuff. Guy trying to sell us mangos had an upholstered pistol tucked in his waist line, which seemed a bit alarming. Beach is full of black sand, water is full of seaweed as it the beachfront.

If you love sea food, this is where you want to be. You have a variety of styles of fish done to your preference (Jerk, fry, steam, etc...). You also have lobster, shrimp 🦐, crab 🦀, octopus 🐙, jerk corn, fish tea, bammy, festivals, etc... You got to visit to experience for yourself.

Not sure if it's because of the holiday rush but the food was bland. Group of 5 of us and all 5 fish tasted unseasoned. 1 fish was just SUPER salty & the others Extremely BLAND. Festival had no sugar. Tasted more like fried dumplings, Bammy was dry and tough. Shrimp was Bland. 3 stars for large portions. Location needs better care. Beginning to look rundown and losing its ambience. Customer service was very good.

wow! this was a great dining experience. we drove two hours and it was worth it! we got the jerk fish, garlic lobster tails, fish tea and festivals. big up to the owner for offering us some jerk corn which was delicious.

The food is really delicious. The service is a bit slow, but you can get drinks at the bar and wait for your food to cook or call ahead of time. But it is made to order fresh. So you do expect to wait. The atmosphere is beautiful it’s Very tranquil right on the beach and beautiful little fish hunts boats, etc. it’s a great atmosphere decor is on point with the food.

This was a really cool place to visit. It's not upscale when you go there however three experience of picking your own fresh fish and them cooking it fresh and the way they present and cook the good is amazing. Highly recommend! We visited at night so we didn't get the experience of watching the beach while eating but I'm sure in the day time it's a great view!

Lovely spot to enjoy some authentic Jamaican seafood which is freshly caught right on the beach where the restaurant is located. The wait time is long though but you can check out the beach while you wait.

The food was excellent as usual. The wait was worth every bite of the jerk fish and steam fish. We and several others were blocked in when ready to leave as the parking lot is sorely in need of an attendant.

Beautiful rustic restaurant on the seaside. The food was absolutely amazing but no containers to take food to go. It's a very long wait since you are selecting your meal and it is cooked upon order so make sure to try an amazing soup to hold your appetite. There is only one server and she also works the kitchen so if you need anything you're better off going inside and getting it yourself for immediate results (i.e. drinks). The staff is very friendly and all amazing at what they do. I will definitely be revisiting!

Always a pleasure to dine here. Staff is welcoming, professional and the food is deelicious. For crab lovers, the garlic crab is a must and for fish lovers try the Jerked fish. Am not saying the other menu items arent a gastronomical delight. But i love these items. Plus as pricing goes its affordable.

Lovely, affordable, relaxing place by the seaside to take the whole family. Their jerk fish is delicious too. I don't enjoy their fried fish. I also like that the tables aren't left dirty for too long. As someone finished dining, they are cleaned.

We when there for a family Rd trip and the scenery was good but the food take forever 😔like almost two hours and it was not just we this happen to everyone,the service really need to improve..

I visited this establishment with my family for the 1st time and the service was extremely poor, my family and I waited for almost an hour for our food which came in pieces. However the owner apologized gave a family member a full refund and even had a drink with us on the house. My steam fish was really tasty and my kids had shrimp which was also yummy. Overall everyone was pleased with there meal but disgusted with the wait time.

The food was good, I had the jerk fish. The only down fall for me was the fact that there were too many beggars and the tables were cleared quick enough in between guests, this created a small nuisance. Apart from the above I think I would visit again in the near future. The view by the sea was great and adding to the experience.

The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing, the music is family friendly. The black sand sparkles in the sun and is beautiful. The food taste great not better than others but good and valuable for money. The service is satisfactory. The cats are ok and not too invasive when it comes to your eating area. I would visit again.

Very good coconut curry fish and a nice atmosphere, you will get a lot of food. We went in the middle of the week at sunset and it was nice and calming.

Attention!!!! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. However for a business place that’s making so much money it’s a shame that the owner/owners don’t pay attention to the small areas that could make this place great. The bathrooms were deplorable and lack properly function facets and running water. The infrastructure is really in need of an upgrade they need to pay attention to the surrounding people coming around asking for our food and begging money, interrupting our evening and making us feel unsafe.

Fantastic experience. Tucked away in the mountain foot of Manchester, the drive was well worth it. Excellent location, great atmosphere, and most importantly, succulently, delicious food. You get to pick your seafood and style of preparation. Man oh man, my taste buds surely buzzed with delight. My mouth kept saying yes but my belly said no more 😅. I had escovich snapper and jerk king crab. Super awesome way to enjoy a sunny day. Oh and if you want some fresh fish, bring along a small igloo. Fishermen are close by and most likely will have fish for sale. Negotiate the price including cleaning and ice and write it down or record it. Or they may try to hussle you.

Food is excellent as always. Staff is friendly and great. The beach is coming back which is a plus. Management just need to up keep infrastructure. Restrooms need better plumbing. Seating areas need a face lift. Regardless of all the flaws the food and good vibes from the staff will always having me coming back.

Food is generally good...but this time it was below par. I ordered Jerk Lobster without the shell, which was quite disappointing. In a discussion with my server, I get the impression that they are not used to doing the jerk without the shell.

I absolutely love everything about this restaurant. The food is amazing. The fish is caught fresh out the sea to right on your dinner plate. The food presentation is great. The atmosphere is perfect. You look right at the waves of the ocean as you enjoy your delicious meal. And the employees hospitality is perfect.

Went to Alligator Pond for a day trip. Disappointed that the beach really isn't for taking a dip and it's mostly a fishing beach. I got to eat at Little Ochi and it did not disappoint. We had the jerk fish and a jerk seafood boil. Both were delicious and the staff was friendly. Definitely some of the best fish and seafood on the island. I highly recommend Little Ochi when near or in Alligator Pond.

The Jerk fish is the absolute best. Staff are friendly and welcoming as well as professional. This is my 2nd visit as I make it a priority to come when visiting from the USA. I've spread the word and have recommended this restaurant to family and friends!
