Amazing! Stopped here on our way to Zion. Cool little coffee shop serving food and drinks. I had the Thai Tea Latte and it was really really good. Kinda tasted like toasted marshmallows haha. Staff was friendly and the prices were VERY reasonable. Wish I lived closer to this place because it would be my go to coffee shop. Will definitely stop by anytime I am passing by. Keep up the good work!

We stopped in on our way from Las Vegas to Denver. We wanted to get some coffee and sustenance. It was a Sunday morning and the place was mobbed. They told us it would be a 35 minute wait for food so we opted for some danish instead. We tried the almost and the apple with berry. Both were excellent. We asked the barista if they were home made. She said they were not - but had no idea of where they got them from. We also tried a couple of iced mocha coffees. The flavoring was strong so we were not able to judge the quality of the coffee. Of well. They were pretty good too.

I heard good things about this place but I got the waffle and had big black crumbs infused into it we let the cashier know and she said “oh that’s just old waffles and stuff from the iron” would not recommend going here to anyone I was very disappointed.

Let's start with my family and I we wanted something to drink and BAM! No Starbucks! But a mom and pop owned coffee shop. With the most comfy chairs and the coolest most amazing decor. My kids loved it the whole nightmare before christmas was super cool. This was really laid back and just chill. They even bagged on Nickelback, what was really funny also.

Wonderful stop as we started the second day of our road trip. Had delicious breakfast that included the firehouse sandwich and a mixed berry hand pie. The hand pie was hot and fresh from the oven. Coffees and hot chocolate were exactly what you want. Would love to stop again.

Excellent vibe, tasty coffee, and quality menu. If you like pesto and eggs, definitely try the green eggs and ham sandwich! Unique and delicious. Plus, they serve a full menu all day. 🤩👏

Cute little coffee shop in a cute town! We stopped on our way to Bryce. Got a smoothie and a sandwich. They were fast, kind, and the food was good!

The Grind has always been our go to for my grandkids and I to have special time together. We like going to the bookstore and then getting a hot drink and a snack. I still like the Grind but it's lost the homey coziness that made it extra special for us. I get it that times change and things move with the times, however it feels less welcoming without the funky chairs and little nooks to sit in and be away from people. We'll still go there because it's better than Starbucks and I support local, and their food is great. We just miss the cozy feel that's all❤️❤️

Nice atmosphere, smells wonderful (coffee and hardwood floors) and the staff is friendly and efficient. Sadly, there have been changes to the coffee and not for the better! I think the coffee brand is the same as with the previous owner but the syrups used to make their flavored lattes appear to be really cheap. I kept having that experience ordering a mocha the last few times I've gone, so I ordered a caramel macchiato with the same result. The drinks are sweet enough, but the flavor is pretty chemically. :/

Every town should have a The Grind Coffeehouse. Really enjoyable coffees and lattes featuring Formation Coffee (house roaster?) and Caffe Ibis (Logan, UT). The coffee shop is big, comfortable, and features a good looking food menu right in downtown. A really comfortable space, complete with faux fireplace and an inside entry to the bookstore next door. An old Probat roasting machine is in the back adding a dash of coffee elegance.

I ordered ahead because I thought there was curbside delivered. There isn’t. So I went in and my order wasn’t ready when I went in, even though it said it was online. I ended up waiting 45 minutes for a waffle and a sandwich. Coffee was very bitter and not good. I ordered a mocha but it was pretty much just a brewed coffee over ice. The waffle was very soggy and the berries were going bad.

I would not recommend this place we ordered 2 drinks and both of them were flavorless and and tasted like milk. When asked to add more flavor we were given attitude. Would not come back. They used to have good food and drinks but then they got new owners and the quality went down fast

The loveliest little coffeehouse with fantastic drinks and food! I got the green eggs and ham breakfast sandwich and loved it 😊 They also have a great selection of herbal teas and non-coffee drinks

A Really nice Cafe. Cozy, yet open. Excellent coffee. Connected to a great bookstore. Relaxed music, local artwork on the walls. It's the kind of place you can go and relax with a good book for an afternoon, or study, or pull out your drawing pad and sketch. The vibe is super relaxed and the help was friendly and attentive. They have a roaster in the back, so I assume they roast their own beans. Wish I had taken some photos. Again, the coffee was excellent! 👌 I am looking forward to returning there whenever I am in Cedar City.

Nice, cozy, quite place for a quick breakfast while driving across the country from the west coast to the east coast

I hadn't been in The Grind for quite a few years, I was really impressed with the difference. The atmosphere is great, it is a lot more open and comfortable. Great service, the girl at the register was really helpful and nice. I got the veggie sandwich, that and the potato salad were delicious! Coffee was also pretty good. The Grind is the type of small town coffeehouse you want to go to!

I went to college here a decade ago and even worked for the Grind when it was family owned. Seeing that it finally sold felt bittersweet (they listed it ten years ago). On the one hand I miss the more cozy, mismatched furniture feeling it had back then, but on the other hand the new in-house roasting is pretty cool. The atmosphere is basically the same: laid back. They also kept some of the old furniture despite the renovations. While the new menus are easier to read, the flair of the old chalk menus was more homey. That said, the coffee tastes how I remember and is still Cafe Ibis. The espresso here is very bitter and strong, so be warned. Food was good. Kolob salad was HUGE and tbh I didn’t even finish it! Glad to see vegan options. My only critique is the use of Califia oatmilk. Personally, I prefer Chobani in my coffee especially iced coffee because it doesnt separate which Califia does. Chobani also makes an extra creamy version for latte steaming. All in all, nice to stop in again. There’s def more space for students to study, and it would be a nice atmosphere for it.

Stopped in Cedar City for a couple of days visiting Zion. We were very surprised by this nice coffee shop. I was skeptical if the breakfast was going to be good, but it was outstanding. We got the “green eggs and ham” sandwich and the “all day breakfast” sandwich. They were both very good and fresh. Definitely recommend The Grind over Starbucks any day.

My husband and I stopped here on our way back home to Texas, and this place did not disappoint! The breakfast sandwiches are amazing and the Mexican latte is so good we got an extra cup each for the road! Great atmosphere, love the bookstore attached.

Came in on a chilly afternoon and the barista made my mocha extra cute! I’ve been coming here for the last few years and highly recommend The Grind for people who love good vibes and excellent coffee.

The cozy atmosphere made it the perfect spot to get some work done. The latte was perfect. The fact that it has a doorway leading directly into the next-door bookstore is interesting and convenient. Highly recommend this coffee shop for anyone who loves to curl up with a cup of coffee and a good book.

We love the sandwiches. Vegan friendly with lots of options. We love the updates that have been made since John became the new owner. Such a beautiful atmosphere, especially attached to a book store. Great to hang out or meet people.

I am a big fan of the matcha latte here. Good price, great taste. They have oat and almondmilk.

It was my first time eating at the grind the coffee was good I got a pumpkin spice. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good. Definitely have to find your way around for napkins and depository stations. You aren’t waited on it’s a simple place to eat and get drinks. The prices were fantastic!! I spent $ 6-7 for a sandwich and my specialty coffee was $4-5

We were traveling back to Las Vegas from Duck Creek. We wanted some coffee for the drive home and checked this place out. The staff was really friendly, the atmosphere was really "vibey." We have traveled to many many coffee shops across the United States, on all of our road trips. This was by far the best coffee shop we had been to. The whole experience was great the coffee was the most delicious coffee, omelets were tasty and everything was fair priced . Thank you!! We will be back!

Great food! Some food items are a little on the expensive side. They make a great latte! There is a knitting group which meets there, and those members are very nice. Loved perusing the adjacent bookstore when the order line was longer than I wanted to wait. I will definitely be back!

Cedar City's best coffee house...plus they serve a mean chef salad. We used this place for work and lunch. There is good space to get stuff done while enjoying a lite meal or drink. Seems to be popular with the locals.

Menu selection was AMAZING! Friendly fast service, very cool vibe/atmosphere and VERY reasonably priced. Good and coffee tasted great! Will be back!

Definitely a great place for coffee or smoothies. Lots of tasty options. Also have breakfast/brunch items like bagels, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. Sandwiches can be made on a gluten free wrap. At 1030 AM, there was quite a long wait, but worth it in the end 😋 also, dog friendly 🐶

It’s been a while (just over a year) since I had been to Grind, and I was stoked to get one of their breakfast bagel sandwiches and a coffee drink. When I walked in, it appeared very different, with a new menu and staff that were not really knowledgeable on how to a make proper espresso drink. I ordered a dirty chai latte, which came out not hot and somewhat peppermint tasting with chai. It seems like they are in the middle of flipping the place, so I understand that it could be a time where new staff are getting trained… but honestly just sad about the old menu is gone. Whenever I came in, the place was bustling, and this past time it was very quiet. I hope that they can figure out how to make real coffee drinks.

Ambiance 4/5 Food & beverage 5/5 Amazing Thai tea latte. One of the best I ever had. Highly recommended. Apart from Thai tea we ordered waffles with berries n whipped cream. I would recommend to choose Nutella with cream than berries. I found berries a bit tangy and had to add more maple syrup instead. Nutella ones are perfect balance. People working at this place are super friendly and guided us to most of the places in and around cedar city. Overall good experience for evening tea.

They have very pleasant medium and light/ medium drip coffee available. This is remarkable, you can tell a lot about a coffee house by the quality of their drip coffee. I came back the next day and it was still good. Looks like they might roast in-house, bought two bags with roast dates within the last 30 days. Had a breakfast bagel ( fireman something ...) It was very tasty, a little spicy. I can whole heartedly recommend this place for drip coffee and breakfast.
