This is seriously worth anyone's time! This was my first year. I saved admission and parking by volunteering 3 days!! It's been breathtaking and it's only the 1st day! Sunday before the 1st day we went to Fisk and watched the Air Traffic Control line up the planes coming in. "Rock your wings" they tell the aircraft. It's absolutely amazing. The air shows are worth coming! The night ones on Wed & Sat are MIND BLOWING!

A week long air show experience like no other. Hundreds of thousands of people to send on this. Otherwise sleepy vacation town for a week at the end of July. During that week, the airport's air traffic control tower is the busiest in the world. 17,000 planes fly in to camp, 30000 other people drive in to camp, total daily attendance of 677,000 in 2023. This is my third visit and only this time did I feel like seen a good amount of the things there are to do. I wish I was or had a kid with me because KidVenture looks super neat, and admission for kids is free!

Enormous show with thousands of planes of every kind imaginable, and wonderful daytime and nighttime air shows make this the place to go each July. Lots of food, much of it tasty although marked up about 2 to 3 times what you’d pay for it outside of the show. Be sure and get an A&W ice cream cone. They pile up the soft serve ice cream. Plenty of portable toilets that are all cleaned multiple times each day. Lots of overpriced merchandise that you can purchase throughout the grounds at various EAA buildings. Check out the theater in the woods each night for some outstanding interviews. Each year they seem to have interviews with NASA and many astronauts. Generally, for the last few years, they’ve also had several Apollo astronauts as well as flight directors from that era. He won’t be disappointed. Great for the whole family. It’s much more enjoyable when it’s a little cooler, but there are plenty of places to go inside and beat the heat and sun. It takes lots of people and volunteers to pull off a show of this magnitude, but they do it well. They’ve been doing it for many years and have a good formula and each year they tweak it a bit to improve things. You can also get much in the way of free swag at many of the vendors

Amazing airshow. Very diverse show of aircraft from tons of different eras in history. AirVenture also has a good selection of food vendors and showcases that you can browse through.

This is A must see event! This is worth the ticket price. Even if you are not into aviation. The sound of the F-16 afterburner is priceless. That is the sound of freedom! So much to do and see. This I must say is the most organized and coordinate event I have even been in my life. The staff to the grounds. So well prepped. I would give this a Infiniti stars if I can.

Mecca for aviation buffs. Between the planes on display, the different classes, and the air show there is no better place to spend late July. We brought in an expandable wagon which made lugging our stuff around easier, but make sure you have enough hands for your stuff if you want to ride the shuttle bus. Don't kid yourself that you can see the entire thing in a day. If you want to go on a helicopter ride, best to arrive before 9 and get in the line (near kidventure). I wish we had more time to take in the museum, so we may go back when EAA AirVenture is not happening. They do a good job getting people in and out for the most part, just be patient and hydrated.

I am from Oshkosh so I am not new to EAA AirVenture. I am not too excited about aviation but this experience is one not to miss. Leaving, I had more enthusiasm for aviation. It has been years since I visited. It is outstanding. There is so much to see. Many things for kids to experience and do. The airshows are phenomenal. There are so many people but the place is huge so it isn't bad. It is great for the kids or plane enthusiasts to walk up and see the planes and talk to the pilots. The cargo ship was bigger than I could have imagined. All the military aircraft were so neat. Then there are sea planes, cesnas, experimental planes, sea planes-I could go on forever. It is July so it is hot. We took refuge under plane wings which was fun. There are many restaurants and places to get drinks. You can also bring your own food and drink in!! No alcohol. Strollers and wagons are fine too. I suggest air protection. The airshows have loud jets and bomb simulations. Aviation enthusiasts have workshops and other fun scheduled events. You can learn how to make your own plane! Everyone is so nice and there are half a million people that attend. There are some downsides. Traffic is terrible. If you are entering from inside the city it may take 30 minutes to get to the first parking lot. We came on the highway from the north. Once we got off the highway, it took 1.5 hours to park. I suggest good music, maybe a game, and a snack in the car. Parking is $25 or $30 cash only. Good to be prepared. We left before the night show and it was quick and easy. I bet it will be a long wait to get out after the airshow. If you are driving a long way, book a place to stay or camp for next year now. I wonder if a year ahead is even enough time. Other towns to stay in include Neenah, Menasha, Appleton, Fond du Lac, even De Pere and Green Bay which is a drive but not bad. It will be hard to find a place. Wisconsin is full of wonderful things to do if you need a half or full day break from EAA.

Every year you see something different. From vendors row, to the build it seminars. There's also history buildings, speakers, museums, tons of plane builders& reps. & oh yea, plane fly ins! They allow carry in, no glass or booze. From big planes to warbirds, to the Ultralight, experimental, everything is at Oshkosh. Take out a loan b4 you go to eat tho as soda sets u back 4, cheeseburger 18, ice-cream cones 8 fries 10 breakfast way overpriced too! Jmo. One vendor had peddle planes for the kiddos, another selling ironwood carvings of planes, cars trucks, tanks. Very nice. From break pedals & tores to engines & paint or canvas coverings. It's all there. Ultralight on far right. Warbirds on far left & everything u can think of in-between with a tent under the wing. Don't miss the night show. Is better than the daytime!

It is a fun place for everyone to watch the air show. Paid parking can be hard to find, so be sure to get there early to find a good spot. The number of planes that you can see here is amazing! Many of the planes you are able to get up close and personal with. The jets for the air show never disappoint and will keep you wanting more!! Be sure to bring a chair and sunscreen because you'll need them.

I wasn’t ready for the size of this show. It’s HUGE! Great displays. The fact you could sit in some places and look inside them was really cool. The air show was impressive but wish there were more military planes.
