Research your room options!!! Mixed feelings about this hotel, the breakfast is good, the staff are lovely and the basement leisure facilities are really good. We asked for a quiet room and received one, the bed is comfortable. However the hotel is divided by new and old. The new has some rooms that have amazing balconies with a lovely outlook. However I would avoid the lower rooms here as a lovely busy outside bar/ restaurant below. The old is where our room was no 433, no outlook,a very close building opposite. Not room to swing a cat, TV on the wall at the end of the bed which you have to negotiate to get around. Thank goodness we spent very little time in it. Most depressing room I have ever stayed in! Felt like a big dark cupboard.

Thieves and robbers. I have stayed here many times and the rooms are the best in Jersey. Take a seat at the Zephyr bar and all bets are going off. I ordered a bottle of the house wine and was presented with a glass and on clarifying the error was served further with the wrong wine. Costly mistake to make by trusting the staff. Be sure to be exceptionally clear before partaking.

Room was so small and no Aircon working so instead a huge freestanding unit took up space which was already limited. It was as bed level so essentially blew cold air at your feet. Creamy floorboards and thin walls. Breakfast was good and staff friendly and location was perfect but the room was a let down

Just spent a week at this excellent hotel. The staff and service was excellent - nothing too much trouble. Brilliant breakfasts and other meals in their restaurants. Rooms very comfortable. We were on the 5th floor and the room was at the side of the hotel so no noise. So central for everything which was another bonus.

We stayed in room 511 with a side balcony which was fantastic. Large room and bathroom, but only a double bed not king size if thats important to people. Excellent food in every restaurant we ate in . Fantastic staff who were very helpful. We would love to go back

Absolutely lovely. I have not got one criticism about this hotel. The staff are lovely, the rooms are lovely, the breakfast was plentiful and the pool and spa were amazing. I highly recommend coming here.

Stayed over night and it was the most uncomfortable bed ever, spoke to the receptionist and was told as we had booked through Last Minute .com that was the standard of bed. Spoke to the Manager and told that wasn’t the issue and I should have rang during the night and asked to be moved. The ‘Royal, should be dropped from the name and the Customer definitely doesn’t come first.Would never stay here again, very disappointed

Not what we were expecting on our returning visit. We have stayed in all types of rooms here. This time we stayed in both a platinum room and Stargazer penthouse suite. Rooms looked very tired and in need of attention to detail and upgrading. No storage on the penthouse balcony for outside chair cushions. Wet when we arrived, once dry we took them indoors, but the maid took them outside again, and then they were unusable for the rest of our stay. Lounge curtains were ripped, carpets stained. In the platinum room tiles were cracked in the shower, and the phone missing from wall holder, bathroom bin had a missing lid. Toast was burnt each day at breakfast. Layout at breakfast food stations was chaotic, so we tried room service for breakfast. Not all items ordered were deliver as requested from the list. Replenishment of basics for room was not good. It took 3 phone calls for an iron and ironing board to be delivered to our room. Staff knocked and entered our room although we had the do not enter sign on the door. Not the Royal Yacht we remember from so many other previous visits.

Excellent staff in a very nice hotel. Nothing too much trouble for them. Ideally placed for visiting St Hellier. If there's a downside it would be the noise, but there's nothing the hotel can do about bin lorries etc. Spa is lovely and so are all the bars. Food is also very good.

We had a really great stay here. The staff were really helpful, breakfast was fantastic and the spa was lovely! Cafe Zephyr is great too. The room we stayed in was a little small but not bad at all for the price, and we didn’t spend that much time in it anyway. Everything worked well and was good quality. Location is also perfect, really near the bus station and harbour. We’d definitely stay here again if we visit Jersey in the future.

The only thing I think is Royal are the minibar prices. Impossible to creep around in the room as the floors squeak too much and an experienced safe cracker would struggle with the shower temps. The best thing was the breakfast although they need to understand that one teabag for a pot of tea isn't realistic. Save money and go to the Premier Inn

Absolutely fabulous stay at The Royal Yacht Hotel. From the moment I arrived you felt really welcomed and the room I stayed in was 1st class. It’s very central to everything in St Helier and the bars, restaurants and spa made my stay even more special

Spent 4 nights here. Brilliant location right on front of St Helier. Room was bright and clean. Reception staff were very helpful. Nice bars to relax in and seemed very popular. Only had breakfast here which was ok but not amazing. Pastries were dry every morning. Shower was so powerful it was actually painful and water always leaked into bathroom no matter how careful you were. Hotel let itself down by having flimsy plastic cups as tooth mug Also major problem with window/patio door in room which wouldn't close once opened - advised staff who repeatedly came to room to try and slam it shut. Management only became interested on evening of our third night and offered different room. Declined offer. It's not cheap and it's not perfect.

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. We were on the fifth floor which was quiet. ALL the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The hotel bar seemed to be the in place to be with a great vibe …great for watching the world go by. Easy walk into the centre of town. We will definitely return

Great stay! The hotel was very clean and the staff were friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was buffet style with everything cooked to perfection, again staff were friendly and very accommodating. The location in the centre of St Helier is great for access to all facilities including the harbour and bus station as well the town centre with all its restaurants and pubs.

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. I can't praise this this place enough. The staff were exceptional in every department. The hotel was clean throughout, and the food was excellent. I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend 👌

Lovely hotel, lovely spacious rooms. Had a 2 night stay here, which i enjoyed. The staff at the reception and in the restaurants were amazing and very helpful. A few downsides were that the airconditioning was broken, and the little portable thing that was brought in was quite loud (even on sleep mode), but i understand that it was the only option at the time. But also, that i noticed that it appears the housekeeping didnt do as good of a job as i would have personally expected, as they didnt replace the hair products that i had finished due to having to shower frequently because of the heat, the bins were not emptied, a mug that i had used was left but not only that, it had been put back with the other as if it hadnt been used. But other than those flaws, it was a nice break, lovely breakfast and great atmosphere. I loved the one guest only bar, as it was peaceful and i was the only person there (and being someone with autism, i loved it with the colours, and somewhere i could just relax). Also the pool area was so peaceful, with the changing colours.

This could easily have been a 5 star review. The staff are so friendly and helpful that they make the hotel a great place to be, with the great breakfast service being a real stand out. But the failure of the air conditioning in part of the hotel, along with room windows that are really not designed to let much air come into the rooms, made the stay really quite uncomfortable. And the alternative of “portable air conditioning” (a unit which, literally, had a fan blowing over a tray of ice blocks, which melted quickly) was not acceptable. Also the fact that they had no idea when the hotel air conditioning would be solved was not acceptable. Such a shame and, honestly, I’d love to come back - if they sort out the air conditioning.

Loved it here. Great base to explore from. Next to the harbour and a few minutes walk from the main shops and the bus station. We ate at the Grill which was also very good. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. The spa was also very good, with a decent sized pool, steam rooms, sauna, and jacuzzi.

Great choice for a hotel in St Helier. Nice staff and facilities. Super helpful staff. In particular the front desk staff, including Daniel (who assisted in recovering an item left at the airport) and Edgar. Wonderful health club with great equipment. Hotel well situated in the town center.

We stay for a few days. Two things I would like to mention. One the toilet paper was very hard texture. The second the bedding had clearly been washed but it had drips of something resembling coffee on top of the duvet. We mentioned to the reception and they came immediately. Otherwise I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

A place to be seen, if that's your motivation. But there are quiet corners too. The service is slick, helpful and attentive. There's certainly a buzz at mealtimes but not so noisy that you can't be heard. The menu is happily adventurous for those with a jaded palette. Right now, it's firing on all cylinders and I like it.

Poor wifi, in room 320 had to stand by the door of the room to get a signal. A problem we found was no lounge to sit in, you either sat in your room or in the bar downstairs. Breakfast was fine well organised and the staff were very good throughout the hotel, we used the pool twice brilliant area great gym and staff .

The hotel was clean and well presented if a little bit blingy for my taste. The service was average. The reason I only gave a three star is that during the evening they opened the partition between the interior bar and the exterior enclosed space. we were thus subjected to all the ciggarette smoke coming inside the bar which was quite offputting.

Very nice hotel amazing breakfast lovely staff in dining room. Only one small problem left a valuable amount of jewellery behind in the room, when contacted them first thing next day when home they said nothing had been handed in if anything was found they would get intouch. They could of said we'll look into it just seemed we had left so they weren't interested.😒😒😒

Great location, lovely rooms, particularly the spatious balconies, and excellent spa/gym/pool facilities. The restaurant on the ground floor was also very good. Expensive nightly rates though but this is aligned with most things in Jersey I found.

The Royal Yacht is a tired, broken hotel with staff battling complaints about issues with rooms all the time. Shower leaked, the room smelled, was dirty and absolutely tiny. Not nice at all. The staff in Zephyr are also incredibly rude. The breakfasts were good and the spa is excellent but everything else about this hotel is just a bit naff.

The hotel was lovely with large clean rooms and a fabulous spa area. Breakfast was plentiful. The only downside is that we stayed in room 207 which was at the front of the hotel over the ground floor outside bar and the first floor dining area. It was soooo noisy while both bars were open and then once everyone joined the long queue for a taxi. If you are going to enjoy the experience then it’s a great hotel. If you want a quiet time then book somewhere else.

Stayed for 5 nights. Lovely room, small view out the back of the hotel over rooves. Very quiet and comfortable room. Stand alone shower was very powerful and spacious but I did flood the bathroom each time as I presume the seal under the door is not up to the job. Bed was very comfortable with nice pillows and quilt. Breakfast is very good and self serve. A big choice of cooked, cereals, continental with excellent service for drinks and toast. Ate in on a couple of nights and food in the zephyr cafe was special - it is a restaurant, not a cafe! The Scallops dish was amazing. Expensive wine though. The bar was always busy and lively! Hotel is the perfect location for (in no particular order ;) ) shopping, prom, harbour, St Helier offices, bus station, restaurants, bars. A very enjoyable stay.

Stayed 1 night nd it was lovely. My room was cosy and i love the fact they had under floor heating in the bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic and nice views from the restaurant upstairs, shame i didn't had a chance to use the spa facilities. Great location also.

Reception were really friendly and very helpful. Room is lovely, spacious, bath and separate shower cubicle (very powerful). Breakfast was self service and everything available. The location is prime for shopping, businesses, restaurants, bars, harbour, walking

Always good service here. However, some of the clientele can be less than charming. The male loos often smell, which lets down the overall mark

Excellent weekend, good rooms, friendly staff, clean. Lively nightlife on Friday and Saturday but not noisy to residents. Super breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Yacht very much on our first ever visit to Jersey. A couple of problems with the room like strange air conditioning which is computer controlled from reception and we think may have been programmed wrong on our second night but the other three nights was fine. A walk in shower that was great except it let most of the water escape into the bathroom and a patio window that wouldn't close completely but the weather meant that was fine. This hotel is obviously the business choice for meetings etc so busy all week. And very obviously the in place for islanders at the weekend. I was a bit worried about noise but we had no problems despite being next to the hotel laundry and staff access lift. Only drawbacks were the close proximity of the windows opposite across the internal courtyard but I'm not shy at my age and the net curtains seemed to do a good job. And three of the tables in the morning breakfast room are far too close to the serving area, they are neither safe or practical and certainly are not conducive to a quiet breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and relaxing. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent very helpful and cheery. We would stay again in a gold twin room although the balconies look lovely they are a bit noisy for us to relax on and we were happy in room 315.
