Great place for a meal. Food very tasty and fresh. Staff efficient and friendly help to make it a enjoyable experience. Went at lunchtime for the lunch menu and was not disappointed. Highly recommended.

We arrived just as they had opened and managed to bag the last table. They even accommodated our two dogs and rejigged the table plan so we could dine in the area where dogs are allowed. The menu was very extensive and I did struggle to make a decision as everything sounded so good. I had the Jersey oysters to start, followed by the bass and lobster for mains. I knew I had got to find room for dessert as I had heard about their homemade ice cream. I had the dessert special which was banana cake with their beautiful ice cream. Everything was cooked to perfection and was well presented. The service was impeccable. I couldn't fault a thing. I would definitely return. There is a very small car park here but there is plenty of free parking just a couple of minutes walk away.

One of the best meals ever. Lots of choices and everything we had was cooked to perfection with so many different flavours. Can't fault the food or the very attentive staff that were excellent. Top marks only wish we could go again but only on holiday.

Killer service, great atmosphere, beautiful dishes, great pricing on everything including the wine list! If you've never been then GO as I promise you will not be disappointed!

My new favourite restaurant on the island. Heard about this place and it did not disappoint. Even the bread was exceptional. I had the plaice which was fantastic. The homemade ice-creams are very unique. The red Thai curry was amazing. Can't wait to return.

While on holiday to Jersey we came across a hidden gem of a restaurant. We had a set lunch menu which was 5 courses and what a tasty treat it was. Better than a lot of high priced London restaurants. Nicely presented and brought to our table by friendly staff. Reasonably priced with ample portions. Clean, light and airy place. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

During my recent visit to The Bass and Lobster in Jersey, I was utterly charmed by the fusion of adventurous cuisine and the warmth of the staff. The seafood, fresh from local waters, was cooked to perfection, with each dish presenting a delightful surprise of flavors. The staff, with their genuine smiles and attentive service, made me feel like a part of their family. It's not just the exquisite Italian and French influences in their dishes that impressed me, but the personal touch in every interaction. Dining here was more than just a meal; it was a heartwarming experience that I'll cherish.

What a wonderful lunch! We ordered an assortment of starters and each was superb. The hostess was lovely and made us feel very welcome with our 5 month old in tow. All in all, a very memorable meal that will remain a highlight of our trip to Jersey.

We came upon Bass & Lobster while exploring Gorey and what a find! Not too much on the menu which is always a good sign and this was proof when the food arrived. The presentation is close to fine dining, the quality was impeccable and to top it off we even had the owner assisting to serve our table. It was unexpected and we are so glad we stumbled on this gem.

Absolutely stunning. Comfortable and relaxed environment but with a very fine dining experience. Food was absolutely incredible, staff were very friendly and just attentive enough without being overbearing. The menu was full of creative flavour combinations but everything we ordered was delicious. I had the duck main and it was easily the best I have ever had, followed by the cheesecake desert which was perfectly balanced and a lovely way to end the experience. 5/5 without a shadow of a doubt.

We had the set lunch menu and it is amazing value for money. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. I would highly recommend coming here for the food! I feel the atmosphere and interior was not at the same exceptional standard. It could possibly do with modernising but this is just personal taste.

I have just had the most wonderful evening at the Bass and Lobster! I ordered the salmon and every element of the dish was incredible and so complementary. I don’t think I have ever enjoyed a meal so much! To add to the delicious food, the atmosphere was lovely; inviting and friendly yet also felt luxurious and special. The staff were brilliant. I have to say this is an absolute gem of a restaurant. Massive thanks to the staff and amazing chef!

Really great meal. We had the fixed lunch menu and you can tell the Chef and front of house team really care about giving you an excellent meal and experience. Highly recommended.

I'll be honest, we used to go here quite a lot 3 or 4 years ago and it was always very good. Very fresh, quite innovative food. Went here the other day again for a change and were left quite disappointed really, especially for the money we paid. The food is nicely presented and looks and tastes pretty good, but with that tastes quite processed in the sense of over analysed and cooked. And my partner's main was significantly oversalted and she likes quite salty food. They were very good and took it off the bill which was appreciated but just surprised that it was sent out in that condition.

We had the most amazing dining experience of our holiday. Food was exceptional, good value for such high quality.

We stayed in Gorey recently and enjoyed the Bass and Lobster so much we returned a further 3 times during the course of our 7 night stay! We always received a really warm welcome from Kirstie and Fran along with excellent service. The restaurant it's self has a lovely atmosphere, and you can opt to dine inside or out. The food here is stunning - very inventive and made using high quality local produce, which Kirstie and Dave are very proud of (and rightly so!). We tried so many beautiful dishes, including tempura oysters, octopus, duck, red mullet, scallops and various different wonderful flavours of Ice creams. All were cooked to perfection, seasoned and balanced beautifully. Highly recommended!

Excellent kitchen and service - interesting with 2 menus, ala carte and a set menu, later with fusion influence. Soft crab tempura to die for as were the sweetbreads.

Owners and staff are amazing and really friendly. Food is out of this world, always new flavours, it's wonderful local food and so fresh. A completely wonderful taste experience. My favourite restaurant in Jersey 👍

Probably the best meal I've had! Outstanding and attentive service. We had a few people with allergies and the staff went far out of their way to make us feel safe. Their homemade icecreams are a must try. The whole menu was super interesting things to try but still all tempting and comforting. So nice to see its all locally sourced too. This meal was the best bit of our visit to Jersey and such great value for money.

Had a wonderful lunch here for my birthday. I have a few food intolerances and all the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. I was completely put at ease and had no worries eating the most delicious food here! I can not recommend enough, it was spectacular!
