Interesting slice of Jersey country life from the past. Enjoyed visiting the furnished buildings and seeing the animals. Useful literature and signs but a bit of a lack of staff to interact with.

We had the most wonderful visit to Hamptonne Country Museum last week in Jersey. We love open air museums and this did not disappoint. Staff were super helpful and welcoming, especially Dave who went out of his way to tell us about the museum, the Colombier and the animals. He also gave a great talk about the traditional of Cider making. There are several buildings to visit which highlight what life was like on this farm in different time periods and we learnt all about the Jersey bonnet, herbs, different dishes to cook and how the animals were used. We got to feed chickens which delighted my son and see piglets and Jersey Cows. There are lovely grounds to walk around. The cafe had a good selection of cakes, sandwiches and ice creams. We are so glad we went, we learnt so much and had a really lovely time there., We would definitely go back when we return to Jersey.

We love to visit there with our daughter and granddaughter, as adults and children alike enjoy the free roaming chickens with little chicks. You can walk around old farm buildings with some animals and humans in it :-)

We visited on 19th September while on holiday and started with an excellent volunteer tour, explaining the history and story of the site. Then were lucky enough to meet some residents of Hamptonne - Laurens Hamptonne and Rose Le Brun in the kitchen - these are by far the best costumed interpreters I have ever come across. They were engaging, informative, funny, versatile in their delivery, allowing them to engage with the visitors while still staying in character. A brilliant experience, I could have stayed all day listening to them all day.

Stayed at Stable Apartment for five nights in glorious weather. An interesting collection of farm buildings, together with the farmhouses from various periods in its history. Some have people explaining various activities such as spinning or cider making. There are a number of chickens and their chicks wandering in and out, plus jersey calves, sheep, pigs and rabbits too. The garden and traditional orchard explain how people lived, fed and treated themselves. There's a small cafe on site which offers a simple menu of sandwiches, cake and local pies. Recommended for all ages.

We went with our 3 year old granddaughter and she thoroughly enjoyed her self. Our daughter and her family live on Jersey and often take our 2 granddaughters to the museum. The other granddaughter is 5. Plenty of space for children to run around. A few farm animals for them to see. And several houses as they over the past few centuries. Educational and fun. Happy memories. Will return one day with girls.

Great day out location for families with kids and not only. A good view in people's life from centuries ago. They have many animals and the chickens are everywhere, spot the randomly layed eggs

After all our many holidays on Jersey there weren't many attractions we'd not visited, this being one. It turns out it's wonderful and very well worth a visit.

Lovely place to visit. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff gave a good insight to the agricultural way of life in Jersey over the years. A good place to wander round and see the houses, buildings and animals. Also a good opportunity to sample farm made apple cider in the place that it's made. Recommended.

Some very nice buildings and set in a very nicely set up outside "Museum", with the added bonus of animals!

Great little day out for families. Due to no food options on-site, pack a picnic and stay for the day! We loved the animals, the play room and of course the tour through time. Very friendly staff and lovely cider!

A good way to pass a couple of hours, not specifically that interesting but a good walk around the museum and viewing different living conditions over the ages. There is a decent cafe and a great play area for children.

Lovely museum. Very peaceful, quiet and interesting. Beaurifully captures how life was for jersey countryside residents throughout history. There are also animals and a nice walk as well as a gift shop, cafe and children's outdoor play area. You can gain access with the Jersey heritage pass.

A wonderful look back into country life and how we lived and worked the land. Lots of animals including cows, pigs, sheep and dozens of chickens running wild at over the site. Don't forget to buy a bag of chicken feed. Fascinating talk on the traditional way of making Cider in Jersey which they still do here once a year. Such a peaceful and quiet place with lots of interesting things to see

Not a great deal to see. The tour was a bit boring tbh.

Full of interesting buildings and history, with a coffee shop and plenty of outdoor seating. Really wonderful in the sun with the animals roaming around. The Jersey Heritage pass is valid here, so can be good value for money if you're visiting a few places

Small place but worth a visit if you wish to have a different experience from a sea scape. Enjoyed the wedding crowd.
