Overall
I
think
this
is
a
unique
place
and
I
love
that
it
is
preserved.
I’m
not
sure
I
would
recommend
it
though
because
of
the
lack
of
amenities.
Details
below
to
help
you
decide
for
yourself.
After
a
long
drive
across
the
island,
parking
near
the
hotel
itself
was
a
bit
of
a
nightmare
-
it’s
behind
the
gate
to
enter
Nelson’s
dockyard
and
there
are
only
a
couple
of
spaces
at
the
museum/
behind
customs.
At
the
desk,
I
was
greeted
with
annoyance
because
I
was
too
early.
The
guy
was
unfriendly
and
not
very
welcoming.
Later
in
my
trip
I
encountered
other
desk
staff,
such
as
Gillian
and
Brenda,
who
were
much
more
helpful
and
friendly.
My
room
was
situated
in
the
eaves
of
the
building
-
a
spacious
bedroom
with
a
huge
TV
and
a
little
kitchenette
with
a
microwave,
tea
kettle,
and
coffee
machine.
There
was
also
a
large
closet
and
a
bathroom
with
shower.
The
room
had
lots
of
beautiful
wood
and
exposed
beams
but
it
was
very
bare-
plain
white
walls,
no
art,
and
very
simple
furniture-
a
basic
metal
bed
frame
with
a
mattress,
no
headboard.
There
are
two
wooden
chairs
around
a
small
table
for
eating
and
that’s
about
it.
All
of
the
windows
look
out
to
other
walls
or
windows
into
other
dormers,
so
there
is
almost
no
natural
light.
A
cozy
chair
or
place
to
sit
would
have
made
a
difference.
I
was
also
able
to
hear
whole
conversations
while
I
was
in
bed,
so
despite
feeling
really
solid
the
rooms
are
not
soundproof.
Continental
Breakfast
includes
fruit,
yogurt,
and
a
basket
of
breads,
along
with
coffee
or
tea.
The
coffee
was
not
good.
Over
a
few
days
on
the
property
there
were
some
things
that
would
have
definitely
made
my
stay
more
comfortable:
-
Some
kind
of
shelf
in
the
shower
-
Hooks
in
the
bathroom
-
A
luggage
rack
-
Bowls
and
mugs
in
addition
to
the
plates
and
glasses
in
the
kitchen
-
Beach
towels
-
Stronger
wifi
(or
guest
only
so
there’s
bandwidth)
-
Lounge
chairs
or
some
kind
of
outdoor
furniture
overlooking
the
marina-
a
way
to
be
outside
and
relax
on
the
property
The
hotel
is
inside
the
dockyard
so
a
quick
stroll
outside
allows
you
to
see
all
of
the
historic
buildings
and
sites.
Pigeon
Point
Beach
is
a
5
minute
drive
away,
and
Galleon
is
a
water
taxi
ride
away.
There
are
several
restaurants
within
walking
distance
as
well.
