I live in here in Antigua, and they charge locals $10 ec and if you have family visiting its $40 ec per person just to get into the park to eat that the copper and lumber...just to get in. Then you still have to pay for your meal. This is even if your not visiting the park. Ridiculous! I have to pay to eat twice per person. Don't bother there a million other place with better food and better food for way less. Check out Club House restaurant, Barbie dolls or Cloggys.

Beautiful grounds as you can see. It has on grounds mini shop sells essential and alcohol... may be essential to some 🙅🏾‍♀️. There are bars and restaurants on site. A museum i think two. Somewhere to buy souvenirs. If you come out of the complex there are plenty shops and bars. They do weddings here $130pp price as of now. Wheel chairs can access but not everywhere. Antigua is relatively small its not far to travel to other historic sights . Shirley heights is also very nice with a hiking trail down mountain . The heights are not wheelchair accessible . Enjoy 😀

Absolutely a 5 star experience. The rooms are out of this world historic and well kept. Our room has a down stairs bedroom and and upstairs bedroom, a mini kitchen with a fridge and coffee pot. Video of our stay will be coming soon. If you like historic restored hotels with charm and amazing people this is the place for you.

My now husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of June 2022-July 2022. We also had our wedding at this venue. All I can say is that everyone at this hotel are truly amazing; Kim, Brenda, Gillian, Claudius (whom had great dance moves on the wedding night) were all so welcoming and helpful every step of the way when helping to plan and organise our special day. As a bride getting married in a different country I really struggled to hire decorations and equipment. If Brenda hadn't pulled through, I'm sure the wedding would not have gone as smoothly as it did. Thank you all so so much. The venue itself is beautiful and is very colonial, we stayed in the room 'Royal sovereign' which was spacious and comfortable with A/C (saved our lives). The bathroom was a decent size but was quite dimly lit but did add to the ambiance. We also had a night in the Bridal suite 'Africa' another large 2 storey apartment which had a lovely bed and large living room. Food was delicious, they served a breakfast from 7:30-9:30am (I think... sorry if i'm wrong!) Which was a choice of three options, banana/pumpkin pancakes, Eggs classic (Full english) and French toast. Each option was delicious and we tended to rotate daily to sample them all. Lunch was served from 12pm-2pm (again please double check as I cannot remember) there were more options for this menu and was also really yummy. However, the person that probably made the breakfast and lunch even more delicious was Petty! She was the sweetest woman to look after me and my husband whilst we stayed at the Copper and Lumber Store...every morning started off right when we saw her, she would make us laugh and made us feel like family and right at home. We miss you Petty! <3 Overall, I would pick to stay at the Copper and Lumber Store any day compared to all inclusive resorts in Antigua. If you want to explore Antigua and really immerse yourself in the culture this is the best hotel to be at! The closest beach is Pigeon point, it is small but has a great beach. Big love to everyone that made our wedding happen! Love David and Jade

Very special historic building, with surprisingly spacious rooms (on two floors!) a few steps away of British Harbour. Service very friendly.

I just can't say enough about the warmth of the staff at this place. We were welcomed by Gilli (sorry if misspelled) and throughout our stay she made us feel like family. We really felt liked she cared about us and our happiness and comfort. She and all the rest of the team there were absolutely wonderful. The place itself is gorgeous and it so cool to be in such a historic building. We had the 2-level suite which was wonderful as my mom and I could be on separate levels (which would also be great for families). The wood floor and all the finishing touches were exceptional. It also had an amazing range of tv channels (of course you don't come to Antigua to watch TV but when you can catch your football team playing in the playoffs on one of their channels, it is a big bonus!). I highly recommend this hotel, and would like to say a special thanks to all the staff there.

Terrible overpriced food. Run a buffet style service where everything has been sat there for hours but still paying premium prices. Never going back

The worst restaurant in town. Any place, literally any place, is better than this. We went for seafood Friday, where you get precooked meats, seafood, and sides of mediocre quality for ridiculous prices. Seriously, just walk 5 min into town and go to any place. Food will be better and cheaper.

Hello, I sent you this email however not received a reply? We visited today and bought 2 x Capachino coffees for $14. I naturally thought at this price this was ECD Dollars,  however on looking now at my card account it turns out I was charged $14 US dollars!! Is this the most expensive coffee ever? Or has your cashier made a mistake? I look forward to hearing from you. I attach a screenshot for your reference. You will notice the time was 12.16pm. Received reply: "We are so sorry for our late response to your email. After speaking with the cashier at the restaurant, they confirmed that the cost for a cappuccino is USD $7.00." Further note from me: OMG! $7 dollars for a coffee ! For a very ordinary place is absolutely outrageous. I will let others make up there own minds.

Did not stay here, but ate at the restaurant and it was awesome! We expected to have a standard lunch of grilled chicken salad and burger but were surprised with delicious Caribbean twists. The grilled chicken salad had hearty grilled and fresh toppings and the dressing had a kick of ginger and a spice like habanero that was so delicious. The burger was more like a Jamaican beef patty topped with pineapple, cheese and bacon. Yum!!! The free wifi while you eat is a plus. And the server was very friendly. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

An amazing Christmas lunch with our Group. Incredible building, but we were let down by the size of portions we were given from the buffet. No matter how many times we went back for more servings the portions of meat and vegetables got smaller and smaller. The staff didn't seem that happy it was Christmas Day.

Nice place. It's not a modern 4 star hotel but it's a comfortable gem with nice staff and a historic feel. I'd stay here again. It's clean. It's nestled in English harbour and they have a nice fish cook out on the waterfront on Friday night. The breakfast isn't amazing but there is a comfortable kitchenette for you to handle breakfast on your own.

Overall I think this is a unique place and I love that it is preserved. I’m not sure I would recommend it though because of the lack of amenities. Details below to help you decide for yourself. After a long drive across the island, parking near the hotel itself was a bit of a nightmare - it’s behind the gate to enter Nelson’s dockyard and there are only a couple of spaces at the museum/ behind customs. At the desk, I was greeted with annoyance because I was too early. The guy was unfriendly and not very welcoming. Later in my trip I encountered other desk staff, such as Gillian and Brenda, who were much more helpful and friendly. My room was situated in the eaves of the building - a spacious bedroom with a huge TV and a little kitchenette with a microwave, tea kettle, and coffee machine. There was also a large closet and a bathroom with shower. The room had lots of beautiful wood and exposed beams but it was very bare- plain white walls, no art, and very simple furniture- a basic metal bed frame with a mattress, no headboard. There are two wooden chairs around a small table for eating and that’s about it. All of the windows look out to other walls or windows into other dormers, so there is almost no natural light. A cozy chair or place to sit would have made a difference. I was also able to hear whole conversations while I was in bed, so despite feeling really solid the rooms are not soundproof. Continental Breakfast includes fruit, yogurt, and a basket of breads, along with coffee or tea. The coffee was not good. Over a few days on the property there were some things that would have definitely made my stay more comfortable: - Some kind of shelf in the shower - Hooks in the bathroom - A luggage rack - Bowls and mugs in addition to the plates and glasses in the kitchen - Beach towels - Stronger wifi (or guest only so there’s bandwidth) - Lounge chairs or some kind of outdoor furniture overlooking the marina- a way to be outside and relax on the property The hotel is inside the dockyard so a quick stroll outside allows you to see all of the historic buildings and sites. Pigeon Point Beach is a 5 minute drive away, and Galleon is a water taxi ride away. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well.

👍👍 My recent stay at this lovely inn overlooking English Harbour was truly exceptional. The owner’s warmth and helpfulness was outstanding, providing great advice and assistance when needed.
