A Stillwater Institution! If they gave out a Michelin Star for neighborhood tavern cheeseburgers this would be the place! Unpretentious neighborhood bar in business for 75 years. We don't live near here but we show up for birthdays and special occasions since the burgers are that good! The Burgermeister is where it's at. It's the best. Always have to have that with the fried mushrooms appetizer. Any place that has carpet on the interior walls inside the bathrooms is okay with me. Bring cash! They don't take plastic , but they do have an ATM in case you come unprepared.

This is a great, cozy neighborhood bar/restaurant. The burger was delicious, perfectly cooked and not too large (I like burgers that are not oversized as it leaves room for beer!). The bun was soft and tasty as well. The French fries were great quality, looked fresh cut. The inside has a nice atmosphere and makes you feel warm even when it's freezing outside! JFK also famously visited this place! Parking is fine, there is a teeny lot or street parking which is easy. Oh, it is cash only which is a little annoying but if you know ahead of time it's okay.

We had the good fortune of stumbling upon this place on our way to downtown Stillwater….but we loved this spot, so we stayed here the entire time. This place has a genuine throwback style, but is in great shape and they keep it very clean. The burgers were outstanding and the beer tap selection was wide enough to please all tastes. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and had perfect timing when stopping by. Do yourself a favor and stop at this place sometime soon, you won’t be disappointed.

The chicken strips were great! Homemade fries were quite delicious! The hamburger was juicy and very flavorful. I would definitely recommend stopping in! Friendly staff!

We love Meisters. Its definitely a neighborhood gem. The first time we were greeted warmly by Tom Meister and Pixie and they remembered our names and have made us feel welcome every time we stop in. The place feels right out of the seventies (cuz it is) with decor that is original, fun and quirky. Burgers and other fare are prepared behind the bar on the flat top, nothing fancy but perfect 'diners, dives and drive ins' type menu. Of note... Tom's chili and the Meister burger.

If you're looking for a no frills, friendly spot for a great burger and fries, this is the place. Best burgers around! Friendly staff. Reasonable prices too.

Meister's has been around for many many years. If you love a great hamburger and fries, this is the place to go. It is very much a neighborhood experience and you will enjoy the atmosphere. The food is great and the people are very friendly. There is also an outside area for your use.

Good Meister Burger; polish dog lacked flavor & was on the small side. French fries arrived with a layer of grease on them and the portion was quite small for a half-order ($5.00). Website does not reflect the price increases we saw on the menu.

Great neighborhood bar and grill......If you can't grill it's not on the menu. We will return to this family owned and operated establishment! This was my first visit.

This is such a wonderful place it is iconic to Stillwater. The fault is they don't offer any specials you have to come up with something for a burger and fries there's less than $20. Make the french fries the thing that you're known for give a huge serving it's cheap draw people in.

Great corner bar and grille. They only take cash and checks, which oddly adds to the ambiance. Food is a la carte, which makes the bill add up a bit.

Food: Home made and fresh! Filling! Not your average bar burgers! Great beer (per mom and uncle) German Burger: comes w/ sauerkraut one of the best burgers I've had! Bratwurst Burger: (comes on rye bread w/ a bratwurst patty) mom & aunt said it was delicious. Service: waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable...as well as cooked our meal! “75 years in business and we’ve never accepted a credit card.” — my waitress. Most places that strike this pose annoy me as unresponsive. But for a “burgermeister” with fried onions, I will gladly pay the atm fee. (You’d think, after all these years, I’d remember to bring cash!) May you forever stay the same, a neighborhood institution and a welcome oasis from a world of temporary, instant gratification.

Comfortable atmosphere. Food was basic and good. Service was superb. Bathroom stall is a very tight fit. I'm a small person and it was tight for me. Cash or check payment only, so hassle for those of us who don't carry a purse and use phone to pay.

Make sure you bring cash or a debit card for the atm. The food was great, waitress was super friendly. Parking is hard to find though.

Love this place! Small bar, with an old friend feel. My wife and I have celebrated many special moments here. It's like an old pair of comfortable slippers you go back to...just feels good .

Unique place with lots of retro decorations. Bergermeister is a must with the chopped bacon, and fries are 10/10.

The exact opposite of the Artsy Fartsy junk we have downtown. This may be one of the last original Stillwater food spots around. My family has been stopping in since the 70's and I will continue to do so. The German Burger is my favorite

Same place it's been since I was a kid. Nostalgic and food tastes like it always has. Never change this place!! It's a hometown gem!!!

The burgers are delish but you have to order everything separately, so remember that when ordering. It's a little pricey for just a simple burger though.

I have been going to Meister's since I was a little kid. A lot of things have changed in this world. A few things that have not is the great food and service they continue to provide. A place where the locals come but everyone is welcomed !
