so i have been to chimborazo before for dinner but it was a date so i didn’t get any pictures…but now i am back with that date as my wife and she supports my food photos! we both agreed that this is one of the best breakfast/brunch spots in the metro! delicious, authentic ecuadorian food that is hearty and fresh! the service was attentive and friendly and the atmosphere is charming and inviting! definitely will be back!

I've never had something I didn't like here. The authentic Ecuadorian cuisine is so delicious I invite everyone I know to come. In the warmer months there is some limited outdoor seating that is really nice. Great spot to meet some friends and enjoy amazing food!

Another hidden gem! My wife is from Ecuador and she said this place is legit! Excellent food and quality ingredients. Very friendly wait staff and great service. They are closed from 3-5 so plan accordingly. Also, the secret is already out so this place is usually packed during lunch/dinner hours but they have plenty of tables and the wait isn’t very long ever.

First time having Ecuadorian food, we got the Hornado Con Papas, and Grilled chicken sandwich. We loved it, great food, good service, food came out quick after we placed the order. Definitely will come back again.

Our family loves dining in and taking our Chimborazo’s food. I usually find just a few things I like at a typical restaurant BUT here, everything I’ve tried has been flavorful and delicious in their own way. I want to say I have tried at least 6-8 dishes and none has been disappointing. Excellent food. The only thing is sometimes the dishes are not the cleanest. Last time I was there, something was in the water glass and the server gave us a set of plates that were not clean. That one aspect of cleanliness does make me nervous about the cleanliness of the kitchen overall… parking is also not the greatest, but they do their best in such a small spaces. I do hope they improve the cleanliness asap because it’s not enough to scare me from coming back. I love Chimborazo!

A+ on presentation, I'm very happy that I was able to try this place, but I was looking for more depth in flavors. The plates looked amazing, and the service was excellent. I just wish the food tasted as good as it looked, don't get me wrong it was okay. Looking for more cheese in the potato cakes, most of the marinade just tasted like vinegar to me. Perhaps that's the way it's supposed to be, it just wasn't my thing Ceviche had wonderful fresh flavors, but for only getting about five or six shrimp I thought the price was a bit high

My hubby and I had breakfast at Chimborazo and Wow! It was delicious!!! 10/10 recommend. The best beef empanadas in the twin cities (not dry at all!), and the breakfast hash comes with full ribs. Excellent food and service.

Decided to give this restaurant a go. Order the yuca fries they were pretty good, a little dry, the dipping sauce was great and the pickled tomatoes and onion had serious flavor. The fresh limeade and peach mango drinks were delicious and refreshing. The churrasco dish was ok the fries were really salty but good the steak was fair. The vegetarian dish was ok. To sum up, Service was good food was ok didn't blow us away.

Came here for the first time and super happy that I did! My partner and I came on a Saturday evening around 7:00p. Luckily we were able to be seated within 5 minutes which was amazing. The restaurant is a decent size and had a home feel to it which made it feel super authentic. The food came out relatively quickly and everything was absolutely delicious. I would definitely return! A bonus is everything is relatively inexpensive!

There might be some spectacular dishes here, but the vegetariano saltado is not one of them! It is described as gluten-free and spicy; stir fried peppers, onion, tomato, mote (hominy), asparagus, and potatoes. Served with rice and avocado. Let's break this down - the dish had plenty of peppers and hominy, a few potatoes, and 1 spear of asparagus. The avocado was so hard it nearly flew off the plate when pierced with a fork. There was an overwhelming, sickening flavor of vinegar. I love vinegar when it is used properly but it wasn't happening here. I didn't detect spicy in this dish at all!

Everyone I have brought here has loved it. The food tastes good, plenty of seating, decent service (I think there's room for improvement here). Fresh flowers are a nice touch to the tables. I've been here a couple different times and tried different items on the menu.

Had a lovely lunch with my father. It was his first outing after an extended hospital stay. He was using a walker and the staff was so great, they told me to pull up to the front door and even helped walk my Dad to the car! The food was delicious! I tried the Halibut with patacones and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My Dad had the breaded chicken with cheese filled potato cakes.

Had dinner here with my wife tonight after finding it on Google. So happy we gave it a shot. The food and drinks were good. The mango and coconut smoothies were refreshing. We ordered the Ceviche de Camarones, Churrasco, Saltado de Camron y Tres leches for dessert. ALL delicious. Will come again!

Never had Ecuadorian food before, and it did not disappoint! We had the saltado with steak, chicken, and shrimp and it was delicious! The chicken was unbelievably tender and everything was perfectly seasoned. Next time I’ll probably skip the shrimp since they were overcooked, but the flavor easily made up for it.

Cute spot, very popular, so hard to get a table on Friday nights. The food was tasty and arrived quickly! Servers were attentive and helpful, though busy. Plenty of vegetarian options.

Delicious Ecuadorian flavors that I tried for the first time ever! Not halal, of course, so I sticked to shrimp as my main food element. Must try for the adventurous :)

The whole experience here at Chimborazo was absolutely amazing. The restaurant is on a quieter street north of Minneapolis, and I loved their outdoor seating area. You can sit outside and enjoy a beautiful day and get away from the noise of the city. The ambience and service was perfect and there is an uplifting atmosphere that really makes you enjoy being here. I ordered the encocado with mahi-mahi and it will definitely be a meal that I will never forget. The mahi-mahi with the coconut sauce was such a great combination and it was rich in flavors. Squeezing some of the lime over the rice and the sweet plantains made for the perfect bite with the fish. The green sauce was what really blew me away though. It was just one of those things that would make you crave for more, its that good. You can taste the love that was put into these recipes and sometimes I forget how good, food can actually be when prepared properly with the right techniques, flavors, and a splash of creativity. I got the tres leches cake for desert and it was so good that it would make you consider licking the plate clean. I couldn't even find something bad to say about Chimborazo if I tried. Their friendly service and tasty food is what makes them such a great restaurant. I will definitely be eating here again in the future to experience more of their menu!

This food was really well done. I really enjoyed and their plantains were especially good. The staff was nice and attentive but we did get overcharged for things - like something would be on the menu for $4 and they charged us $6 etc. We waited a second to ask about the charges but they didn’t come back to our table for a while since you can pay from your phone? Not sure so we just paid and it was a little annoying.

I initially visited this place when it first opened, and my experience wasn't impressive enough to make me return. However, with the positive reviews accumulating over the years, I decided to give it another try. I'm pleased to say that this time around, I was very satisfied. The portions were generous, the food was delicious, and the wait staff was attentive. Although the dining room was loud during our visit at a peak time, I won't let that deter me from returning. I'll just choose a different time for my next visit.

Overall 5 stars Atmosphere is fun and lively. Busy, but people are going in and out pretty quickly. Service was great, we got seated quickly and the server was knowledgeable and helpful. Food came out quickly! Food was outstanding - we had several appetizers the fries were great. The main courses were all good, it was hard to choose what to order. We didn’t do deserts because we were all stuffed. Value was great - servings were surprisingly large, no one left hungry. I will definitely be back!

Ecuadorian cuisine rocking it at 45 ° Definitely a place worth going back to often as not only are the flavors and cooking exquisite, the freshness of the ingredients makes it a happy tummy experience. The saltado and churrasco along with the best breaded chicken (milanesco) was just outstanding.

My family and I went here for lunch. We approached the outdoor patio and we sat ourselves. The staff saw us and was super friendly. The food was soo amazing and flavorful. You can't go wrong. The green sauce is the best. There were a lot of healthy options for vegans too.
