It's a beautiful beach with shallow waters. There are walking trails around to go for a stroll and enjoy the view. The Band Rotunda overlooking the beach is a historical landmark which provides excellent photo opportunities. There are also plenty of parking areas and public toilets nearby.

Fantastic beach with some great views and wonderful sunsets. Parking is limited but you can find some additional space down the side roads. Public toilets, water fountains and some pleasant walks are found at the top of the beach. Dogs are required on leash for the most part. Not far from Sandringham centre and there's some great views from the foreshore at the top of the beach area. This beach has clean sand and is definitely worth visiting.

A clean and delightful beach. Well taken care of by council with water alerts available online regarding water health. Long meandering pathways to stroll along, amazing views, friendly people.

Beautiful, quiet beach with aesthetic rocky formations. Plenty of cafés and free local street parking nearby. Shore-adjacent nearby paid parking is available. Bathrooms are at the entrance tracks to the beach. The bay water is good for swimming. Comfortably shallow, but also murky.

Beautiful beach that is close to the train station and shops with an abundance of nice walking trails with sections looking out over the beach and sections with alot of shade if you want to get out of the sun. The beach and walking tracks are very clean and well maintained with quite a few toilets and drinking fountains.

Amazing beach experience! There are lifesaver down the beach a bit and it has a steep drop so great for adults who don't want to go too far out and still have a decent swim.

Sandringham Beach is one of my favourite in the area. It is great for family and engagement photo sessions. There are lots of different spots for photography such as sand, rocks, a cliff with native bushes and even a green slop with grass to seat and relax or watch the sunset. It is easily accessible from Beach Road and has coastal walk trails with lovely views and many restaurants around to complement the experience.

Plenty of paid parking as well a few road side free parking spots. Ideal for a stroll, get your feet wet, watch setting sun with city in the Background . Ideal spot to get some amazing pictures.

If you take a train, it’s a 4min walk to the beach. If you drive, good luck finding a park. When the suns out, arrive early for your spot. As you should, check the tides cause you will have less places to pick from at high tide, obviously. Bring an umbrella or similar sun protection on blue bird days because there is no shade here, here, no shade.

While St. Kilda and Brighton beaches are the supposedly touristy places in Melbourne, Sandringham beach is hugely underestimated. Much cleaner, quieter and peaceful than the other beaches, we love to come here and spend a day playing in the water and sands. Not to forget, collect beautiful seashells!

One of my favourite places since I moved to Melbourne. Clean and clear water, Easy to get from the city - Just 40 min from Flinders Station. I would definitely reccommend it if you're visiting Melbourne area!
