I’ve been here a few times. The blonde woman , might be the manager. Why she bothers being in the service industry is beyond me. She’s always extremely grumpy. I asked for a baguette to be toasted & she wanted to put it in the oven. Said it could be toasted. More like she couldn’t be bothered. I’ve worked in kitchens & I have never had a problem toasting a baguette like that. I ended up walking out, could not bring myself to give her my money 💰 Plenty other nice cafes ☕️ in the area with polite service & flexible staff Food & coffee ☕️ is great but she really is a put off from going in there.

Good selection of the familiar offerings at Laurent. The coffee is good. Premises a little tired.

I am not mate to leave a review especially negative ones. But for today, I have to leave 1 star. Why the service can go down like this? But after reading other mates’ review, I am not the minority. Two ladies worked today. Lady A missed the Apple juice for around 5-10 minutes after my ordering. I am totally Ok at that time even she has no any apologise. It happens I understand. But the second time Lady A forgot to service me the toasted lamb out of the oven for another 5 minutes. I acquire it again. No any apology again from her. I went my seat and go back to talk them over the 2 delays. The blonde Lady B is so rude at me and Lady kept her style like nothing about her and careless anything. When I walked out what a face on the Lady B! Will never be my local cafe in this area. A warm reminder: you are local cafe and doing the business for local! Not requesting how good the service are but for normal ones!

Rudest Store Manager. Ordered. Found a hair in one of our sandwiches. And than when My wife politely brought it to their attention, I was humiliated and laughed at by store manager and staff. Why would I Come back for cold coffee, hair in food and shocking customer service. Well done Laurent. Congrats on lowering your standards. Clearly doing well.

Been here a few times now hoping it will get better but alas the service (in particular the manager) is always rude and the floors are 'crumby'. It's a shame as it is in such a convenient location.

Just served a coffee that would blister steel, too hot with a flat milk texture. Even McDonalds is better! Forgettable.

I've been a regular customer for years and I know the team well. They've always been friendly and up for a chat. Food and coffee have always been great. Disappointing that someone feels the need to write disgusting and untrue reviews on a hard working team and quality product. Keep up the great service guys.

I totally agree with you Suzi. It's disgusting how people use this platform to bully others. Cowards hiding behind a computer screen. I've been visiting Laurent daily for my bread stick for many years now. I've always been greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. Staff are lovely, products are amazing. I will continue to highly recommend you to family and friends. Well done Laurent!

Very rude service by the wait staff. Will not return to this Laurent location. The quiches were good as usual but there was a hair in the salad. After reading the reviews, it seems the store has gone downhill and that our experience was not an unusual one.

Popped in this cafe last week with my friend. The place was busy but spacious and had enough seats for everyone. They’ve got variety of dishes on the menu. Their coffee was very nice as well as their mini burger and cake. Throughly enjoyed the atmosphere. Good place for catching up and brunch.

Their cakes and other baked items are great. I personally like a cake named Christine. However customer service has room for improvement.

Excellent service, food and drinks! I’ve been to this store many times and all of their sandwiches are A-1 !!! Their baristas make great coffees and they are always welcoming. Happy to have this cafe as my local.

Sunday morning started with amazing breakfast at laurent bakery kew. I love this place always elegant and delightful food’s ❤️😍

I want this to be my local, but most mornings, I'm met with a scowl, which isn't an excellent way to start the day, and they rarely get my coffee order right (and if I politely ask them to fix it, I get more scowls and eye-rolls).

So grateful to the team. Fantastic food and coffee. Staff service first class. I accidently split my coffee and was well looked after. Highly reccomend and thank you again team for an amazing customer experiance

I can't believe some of the comments included here. My personal experience had been excellent. Great coffee and food. The manager Jo is so welcoming and helpful. The sandwiches are always fresh and in good proportions of healthy, fresh, ingredients. The barista Marthin makes an excellent coffee, just the way I like it. I often refer friends who also speak very positively of the friendly staff and great coffee and food.

Blond english Manager why she's still there is beyond me. Sick of giving Laurent another chance, not going back. Manager, She's rude, no personality for the hospitality industry, and treats customers so poorly. Judging from the reviews, clearly not the only one that's had an awful experience being served by her or the staff she's trained. congrats Laurent for leaving a once great store in the hands of someone like her who clearly shouldn't work in customer service

Couldn't agree more with you sue. The manager has run the place down. Use to come down all the time. But def not worth the trip to be served by a manger like that, or the staff she's trained. Wood Frog bakery does much better service.
