Best Disney On Ice ever. Organized well, so there was no long queue. Only the foods perhaps needed to be provided in more varies Very nice arena. Good lighting. Good seating management, so no one in front of us will blocking the view to the stage.

First time visiting Rod Laver was a big big treat for me. A tennis fan have been dreaming to see all the four grand slams…. So after working hard for 33 years finally I am here to watch the GREATS .. Novak, Nadal, Murray,Tsitsipas, Coco Sabalenka…. Mr. Laver himself, PM of Australia, Bill Gates, Billie Jean ..Barty … meeting Novak’s parents… gosh so happy. So well organized, safe, great heavenly place.

Facilities are great. Chairs are padded. Seems like your really going to enjoy yourself. Then you realise the $140 "restricted view" seats are not all made equal. Lucky if you can see 25% of the court. Whoever designed the glass clearly never sat in any of the seats before doing so. Would have had a great time if I could see the match. Dont sit front row.

We were Barricade for Paramore and except for the fact that Rod Laver security wasn't following safety protocol set up by Paramores team for those that had lined up from day before - it was an excellent experience. Perfect venue for a concert of this scale.

Iconic tennis arena, showcasing some of the greatest ever tennis matches. Roger Federer has played here many times and here is one sample footage of what it looks like watching him play live.

Have been attending concerts at Rod Laver Arena for nearly 40 years!! In that time it has had many changes which I'm sure have been done with purely the tennis in mind but for those of us who attend concerts only, II feel it has lost something or maybe i'm just being nostalgic as this evening, March 26, 2022 just saw Midnight Oil and last time i saw them at Rod Laver Arena was in the mid 80's!!! Still great venue and they have improved their food offerings to cater for the health conscious but the coffee well the decaf soy latte i had is better not discussed! If memory serves i have seen the following here: U2, David Bowie, The Eagles, Cher, Motley Crue, Spandau Ballet, Alice Cooper, Blur, Fleetwood Mac, Oasis The Corrs, Bryan Adams, The Eurythmics, Culture Club, Human League, Kylie, Madonna, Blondie, Pink, Beyonce, The Cure, Prince, Split Enz, Foo Fighters and more that I can't remember and I look forward to even more including KISS!!! Special mention to Amyl and The Sniffers who supported Midnight Oil, absolutely outstanding!!! So so good to hear Punk music in Rod Laver! 21.8 KISS!!!!!!!!! oh my you wanted the best....you got the best!! 22.11 Crowded House, so set up was so low key you would have thought they were the support act! Anyway encore was highlight with guest appearance from Mark Seymour!!!

Good internal stadium with over head cover. Great for the concert which hold 11K audiences. Parking could be a concern so need to come early.

Fantastic for live shows, esports and tennis events. We have been here for .ore events than I can count and couldn't recommend a better venue. Decent sound and lighting, seating is set up for good viewing and the ground floor isn't too bad either. Food varies for price and options but generally not too overpriced for a stadium and quick service.

The Australian Open was a fantastic experience. Everyone so lively, great weather, great seat options, widespread wheelchair accessibility and accommodations.

Amazing night seeing Luke Combs!! Entry pretty standard didn't take too long. Venue should really should consider opening multiple merchandise booths, don't want people to have to choose between seeing the concert in full and buying something to remember the awesome night. Probably good to consider changing drinks from cans to plastic cups at the bar instead of when you're making your way to the seat as well. Aside from that, good seating, toilets are clean and accessible. Crowd pretty easy to manoeuvre through.

Attending a concert at the Rod Laver Arena was an unforgettable experience! The logistics were top-notch, making it a breeze to navigate the venue. I was thrilled to discover a wide variety of food and drinks available inside, which allowed me to enjoy the event without any worries. One aspect that impressed me was the easy access to the numerate seats. Finding my spot was hassle-free, and the staff was helpful in guiding me to my designated area. Once seated, I had an excellent view of the stage, which added to my enjoyment of the concert. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the toilets. It's not always easy to maintain hygiene in such a busy place, but the Rod Laver Arena managed it admirably. Overall, my experience at the Rod Laver Arena was fantastic. The combination of seamless logistics, convenient amenities, and comfortable seating ensured I had a memorable time at the concert. I would undoubtedly attend more events at this venue in the future!

Just a hugely impressive arena. I was seated in the upper seats and could see all the action clearly. If in Melbourne in January, have to go to Rod Laver Arena for the Australian Open. Great atmosphere, great views.

My dream place to visit all the way from Nepal & boy it did come TRUE… saw Nadal, Berriteni, Novak, Tsitsipas, Sabalenka, Garcia & the list goes on & on..accidentally bumped with Novaks parents & took a quick pic.. feel so elated to meet them for producing one of the greatest players of tennis. So well organised, systematic smooth entrance, good food & friendly Aussies🍀

Went for the Kendrik Lamar concert and was quite taken aback by the size of the arena. At the same time each seat has been carefully aligned to ensure that everyone is able to view the main attraction at the center properly. In total I quite liked my experience there.

Amazing experience watching grand slam tennis at this world-class arena, certainly one of the best in the world! Facilities were great, and padded seating was comfortable. Was lucky enough to sit so close to the court too. Will be back next time!

Good venue but the food always leaves more to be desired. For something different we thought we'd try the Railyards Bistro & Bar upstairs on the 3rd level. Unfortunately the food was very sub standard, was brought out to us only minutes after it was ordered and was a cross between airline and microwaved food. Not at all nice and 2 plates and 1 drink was over $70. I'd eat elsewhere beforehand.

A great place for games or concert. The building inside have bars that's very convenient. It's a large place with many comfortable seats. It was opened for screen soccer game for free. Watched the FIFA women's world cup soccer game here last week. Amazing atmosphere.

Great venue for the tennis as well as for concerts. Easy to get to. Plenty staff on hand to direct people. Food can be brought here as there is places around.

I was lucky enough to see the quarter finals here in early 2023 with Djokovic playing. We sat front row which I believe cost around $900 per person. Well worth the money spent as the atmosphere was amazing and we truly experienced what live tennis is.

This is just iconic in Melbourne. Recently took a cousin from Europe to see Melbourne Park and Rod Laver. Always so impressive. We came in a ice hockey day and the atmosphere was awesome seeing fans after it was finished. Highly recommended walking around RL and the surrounds. Love doing it even when I'm not a tour guide. The tennis is definitely the highlight, amazing atmosphere. However the Kiss concert earlier this year was absolutely brilliant. I would recommend visiting for anyone as great seeing the consideration for wheelchair access too. Well done on always being organised, welcoming and having many different events for a wide variety of interests. 👏👏👏🙏

Went here for the Mushroom 50 year concert Awesome venue & seating is great. Alcohol (Jim Beam can) was $13.50, so not to badly priced. Easy to arrive/depart venue by either tram or Uber. Had a great night

Spent the day here during the qualifying week of the Australian Open. Great vibes and lots of amenities and other things to do than watching tennis. But tennis is the reason and tennis we got! Expect to spend big if you want to buy any merchandise.

A brilliant stadium for basically any event. No a bad seat in the house and sound is great. The food is nice however under prepared for volume of patrons can lead to very very long wait times. Better preparation would ensure quick turn around and happier patrons. We went for monster trucks and show started at 1. Traffic was a nightmare due to a local event so lost people didn't get there till right on one - no food was cooked and ready. It didn't take too long to start getting it out but by that stage lines around the stadium were huge.

One of the best spot in Melbourne. During AO this place rocks with international stars playing and entertaining the crowd. This year was very tough year yet the AO team pulled it with great preparation for COVID. Crowd enjoyed every bit of it. Hope in the coming years we can enjoy more tennis games. Rod Laver arena rocks.

Amy Shark concert last night in Melbourne was amazing! Venue was well organised with QR coding, back checks etc. Quite a full crowd, staff were friendly and helpful, always tricky to find your seat in the dark 😁 Audio & sound were awesome and lots of great performers on the stage. An absolute stand out was support act Evie Irie so much energy, grunt and really connected with the audience! Great night, will be back again soon! 🤟

AO 2022 in Melbourne is verywell organised. Tram no 70 free direct to the venue. Pretty quick to get through the covid checkin and ticket scanning despite the rain on semis evening making using a mobile difficult. Perhaps more rain cover would be a good idea A little hiccup at door when rod laver arena wasnt on our tickets. Got in eventually. Food "court" is pretty decent but bloody expensive ! a beer was $13 !! Enjoyed ourselves with exception of a section of the crown booing. Its a great venue

  • 4/5 Ronnie J. 1 year ago on Google
Stadium and drinks/food facilities amazing. Only issue was with having to leave a small backpack at the cloakroom. The queue to pick it up had 100s of people waiting in line after the concert.

  • 5/5 Amanda L. 2 years ago on Google
Considering that this is only the 2nd time I've been to Rod Laver Arena I really liked it, it was easy to find the door that we had to get to, easy to find toilets, first aid room & plenty of food stalls and there's even a smoking section

Good overall! Attended Sooshi Mango last night and had a great time here. Lots of staff, crowd moved well, organised venue had plenty of options for food and drinks. The only downfall is the very expensive prices for food and drinks and on-site parking is up there at $30 if attending an event. If your heading to Rod Laver, try parking along Yarra which is free on a Sunday and dont mind a walk.

Very surprised that my handbag was considered a backpack. It isn't even very big. They refused for me to be able to go in with it and i had to leave it and pick it up later. Apparently it is in the fine print I didn't read. Women were going in with bags twice the size of mine. Surely they can distinguish a handbag backpack from a backpack that carries cameras or books. My friend also had one that was red and tiny like a clutch purse. That was also refused.

Went to see gang of youths. I don’t know who is responsible but the sound engineer ruined the night by having the vocals turned all the way down. The place was clean though, well staffed, parking was available for $30 which obviously is criminal but convenient. Wasn’t a bad night, but that one sound engineer… come on bro. What were you thinking?

15 to 20 minute walk from Richmond Stadium. Great compact Stadium for Concerts seating close to 15000. Take away food very expensive. Helpful staff.

This place is always amazing. Plenty of rest rooms, canteen facilities are convenient. Not a large range of food, would suggest to eat prior to attending.

Eventually it turned out to be a great night with my Daughter, We went there to see Billie Eilish…such a great Arena, my only gripe was with Ticketeck, terrible we were sent from the top of the cue over to ticketeck 4 times, it was so frustrating and so unprofessional, ticked we were given simply wouldn’t scan at the door, each time we returned we had to go through bad searchers again and again ‘ they have to fix this bad glitch as it just was a painful embarrassing thing to have to go through, But Can’t fault the Rod Laver Arena… We Loved it. Would highly recommend it to anyone big thumbs up.

  • 5/5 Hayleigh B. 1 year ago on Google
Love this Arena for live acts, small enough to feel that you're not too far from who you are watching. Have seen several acts with Billie Eilish being the most recent.

The stairs were so Sticky at the start of the night when you walk down them the noise is very loud . The positive thing is the food prices were cheap I was very surprised.
