As a hotel, the Koi is great. I wouldn't suggest viewing it as a resort since there's no beach access and the amenities are in line with a nice DoubleTree. Speaking of amenities, I suggest being proactive on check-in and asking about on-site amenities as the staff didn't make a point of letting us know what was available (gym, spa, beach towels, etc.) They also forgot to let us know that we had free continental breakfast as Gold members! Staff might need a bit of training but they were very pleasant and welcoming, so no harm done. We were very glad to have rented a car to access this hotel as it's rather far from any other points of interest. If you don't want to drive, you can use a taxi and very possibly get the driver's number for repeat trips but the cost will add up. The on-site restaurant was pricey but quite decent with several healthy options and you'll probably end up there from time to time due to the hotel's remote location. The overall experience was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. I'd happily stay here again.

The resort is beautifully situated on a beach you cannot access. The hotel does provide a shuttle to frigate beach 10-3pm. Food: the food is cooked well. Flavorful and fresh. It’s kind of expensive but when on vacation you budget for food expenses. They have a bar as well and you can order food by the pool. Room: the room is beautiful. I had a balcony view and I loved it. It’s clean and spacious. I did find a few spiders and tiny ants in my room but that’s expected since it’s a tropical climate. The room does has great WiFi and a desk for remote working. Service: amazing everyone was so friendly and helpful. Overall I give this place 4.5/5 The only con is that you may need to rent a car here if you want to see more of the island. Taxis are expensive $15-25 one way! 😳.

Hotel is in the middle of nowhere nothing to do can't access the beach. When you go to St Kitts one of the main attractions is the beach. I was also charged $20 US for a 3 minute ride by one of the hotel employees. When the local taxi charged me $30 EC for rides that are much further. To be totally honest the hotels around Frigate Bay or on the peninsula would be a better choice as there is much more activities there

BED BUGS This is not a 4 star hotel as the website promotes. The website is not true to what the resort delivers. The staff is sweet but the accommodations are false other than the rooms. There is no beach access, while the website promotes beach access with kayaks. We were informed after leaving that there is a shuttle. I had a yeast infection due to the pool being completely murky and full of bugs. It was the only body of water I had been in since arriving. I couldn’t use the pool and obviously, no ocean access. They promote a full service pool bar- out of the 3 days we were there, we were only approached once for a drink while outside. Otherwise we would come in and order- but there were flies and knats throughout the bar and restaurant. The food and drink is severely over priced after seeing what was available on the island. Again, the pictures are very misleading in what is served. All around Hilton has done a job of misleading people for the experience here. It is not worth the money or time. It is not a resort, no activities, or beach, and wouldn’t recommend the pool. Hilton has had little to do in the matter which is truly disappointing.

Very disappointed in our stay at Koi. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member that helped take our bags and parked the car. Next we were given a room on the second floor. With a view of one palm tree. We went out to start exploring... Only to find a sign that says we can't use the beach that Koi is situated on. So we asked for towels so we could find another beach and they could only find us one beach towel. Meanwhile I've seen maybe 3-4 other guests here. Our room has not been cleaned once since we got here. We have to keep calling for clean cups. I had asked if they could bring more coffee packets and they never did. One night, we experienced a sewage smell in the room and someone came up and couldn't really give us an explanation of why the smell. He said something about that it happens when it rains. 🤷 Pros: rooms are spacious. Staff is friendly. Beds are comfortable enough. A/c works very well.

I've gone back and forth between 3 and 4 stars and gave 3 stars for the following reasons: 1. The staff and the reception needs better training to help guests choose and book activities. As of right now, my recommendation is to talk to them but book whatever activity you choose on your own. Got two separate activities we were told we were booked only to find out that was totally not the case. One of them we missed completely. 2. The restaurant needs to be prepared to better accommodate dietary restrictions and list all ingredients on the menu. Both my friend and I have bad food allergies and had to ask and return some of the dishes because we were not given the proper list of ingredients. 3. If you say it's a beach resort, then there needs to be access to the beach. As of right now the stairs to the beach are broken so there's no way to get to the beach by the hotel. 4. I love ropes in hotels, but they have to be at least slightly bigger than medium.

Absolutely fabulous!! The staff was so accommodating in every way, they went above and beyond to make sure you were happy and had everyone you could possibly need, the room was impeccably clean and absolutely gorgeous - I can't think of one single complaint! The closest thing to a downside is there is nothing within walking distance, but that's really not a big deal. There is a daily shuttle to the strip and beach at Frigate Bay, and the isolation is a good thing because it's gated and you feel safe. The views are amazing, the pool is clean and refreshing, and the food - OMG, these chefs know their stuff! Literally, the best vacation we could've asked for. Thank you for making our second honeymoon / my birthday celebration so magical and memorable. ❤️

If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to unwind in the islands, look no further! This hotel is clean and modern, and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The two room king suite is perhaps the most beautiful room I’ve ever stayed in. There are windows on two sides, giving sweeping views of the Caribbean waters and mountainous island. The place is spotless. There is no wide, sandy beach here, but the ocean views and relaxing pool more than made up for it. A rental car is recommended, as it is a bit isolated. We would gladly return here again!

I think calling this place a resort is a bit misleading. Hotel is more fitting. Rooms are more than adequate. Views are amazing. Place is quiet. There is NO BEACH at this "resort". It is a bit of a drive to go to beaches, restaurants, or stores. You will need transportation.

I was going back and forth with giving 3 or 4 stars. Firstly, the rooms were great, very clean and comfortable. I also wouldn’t call it a resort though, I would say it’s more of a hotel. There’s no beach access but it’s very calm and quiet and a bit far from points of interest. You’d either have to rent a car or get around in a cab. I wasn’t really informed of what amenities were available when I checked in but everyone was super friendly and helpful.

Easily one of the best hotels I've stayed at in the Caribbean. Every room has a balcony & our room overlooked the expansive golf course and ocean. The rooms were very clean and well appointed with robes, slippers and crisply ironed cotton linens. The staff was extremely professional and friendly & they went above and beyond to provide anything we requested, even after hours. I prefer Hilton hotels and this boutique hotel definitely lives up to their standards. I removed one location star because there is no "very easy" way to reach the hotel (there are no street names on the sharply winding streets), but that's related to the topography of the island, not the hotel. I'll definitely stay at the Koi the next time I visit St. Kitts.

Looks great on the outside and it is a nice establishment. However, there are some issues that needs to be fixed. Customer service varies based on the employee that is being interacted with. There was a female receptionist (Teresa) that was so inconsistent and I’m sure not in line with the hotel’s ideals. I don’t know if she viewed my husband and I as a joke, since we are a young and young looking couple and my credit card declined the first time due to being out of the country. First she put us in the wrong room, then called our room and moved us to another room after I called down to ask for linen (that wasn’t in the room to begin with). We moved to our new room to find that it was also missing linen. I called down and let them know. Waited an hour, after a long day and waiting to take a shower. Still hadn’t gotten the linen I called down for and ended up having to go down to the front desk to get it. I was a little frustrated but got over it. When it came time to book a ride to the airport, I called down and the front desk person informed me that they do have a shuttle that can take me, for $20 USD. I was fine with that. I went down to arrange it, and the same receptionist earlier, said sure we’ll arrange it for you, but you’d be better off getting a taxi service since our shuttle Can sometimes be busy/not available. I was a little intrigued as to why she was recommending me to a service outside the hotel. Later on in the evening, on another shift, I went down to really arrange my ride to the airport, since I didn’t know if she did it. I was met by a nice young man, who affirmed me that using the hotel shuttle would be my best bet. He then went over, got a notebook and put down my request, contrary to what the earlier receptionist did. On the morning of my departure, I’d had some leftovers that I wanted to warm up from the night before for my breakfast. There was no microwave in my room, so I called down to ask if there was a microwave in house that I could use. Teresa was the one who answered and told my no at first. But then said yes, at a $10 fee for using the microwave. I decided to try my luck and see if this was true. After I checked out, with a little time, I went over to the kitchen area and asked if they would warm my food for me. They graciously accepted and warmed my breakfast, with no charge. I also enjoyed the best home fries that I’ve ever had, from this kitchen. When ready to leave for the airport, I was met by Teresa, who went ahead and booked me for the outside taxi service. It was a minivan, with the taxi driver and his son in it. I said a prayer that I’d be ok, and really should not have went, since I didn’t know what this girl’s intentions were. Anyways, I made it safely and paid the guy. Our time in St. Kitts was beautiful, and we were hoping to seal the deal with Koi. All the other workers and my experience with the other workers at the hotel was good, save for that one worker who was just inconsistent across the board. The hotel itself was beautiful and I had a great interaction with the kitchen staff and the best home fries! We’d stay here again, with some changes in training and how certain employees interact with guests.

I am a Hilton Honors member, so whilst on a fact-finding mission looking for a hotel for a group stay, the Koi was always on my list. Although a little off the beaten track, this was not a deterrent as the hotel was very nice indeed. A staff member arranged a viewing of a room with a king bed, which more than met the needs. Having seen this room and that of a one bed apartment, that was more spacious, the decision on the two options can be compared with a choice of which one to go for being made by all. At the front desk, I was unable to block book rooms/apartments due to it being too far in advance for our intended stay. I was told a booking could be made seven months prior to the stay.

Excellent hotel! As a Hilton Gold member I was upgraded to a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the ocean and the mountains. The location of the hotel is quite remote and not walking distance to any dining. But the location is beautiful right near the crashing waves. Excellent service at the front desk and throughout stay. Highly recommend for a very relaxing weekend!

Service and staff are great. Very friendly and assist to the best they can with whatever promptly. Room views are absolutely gorgeous, but we have a ton of ants in our room by the mini fridge. Restaurant is very pricey for what you get. Would recommend eating out. Great quality for the price!

Koi feels like a secluded getaway island all to yourself, one side has a lovely ocean view while the others shows a lush mountainous view. The staff are extremely genuinely nice people. You can tell when people are fake nice, this staff isn't. My only gripe is the disadvantage of here being like a secluded island; mosquitos galore!! Go to the pool; mosquitos, on the verandah; mosquitos, in the rooms aren't that bad. All in all if you can source some OFF this place is a definite must visit.

Please take all personal belongings with you each day you leave your room, bring your own toiletries and make arrangements to eat elsewhere, the menu never changes. Business trip, 7 nights and after night 2, my colleagues and I never ate dinner in the restaurant again. Also, there was a lack of bath towels and tissue. Poor service in restaurant.

The resort is clean, but we left after about 30 minutes. The staff were nice and I felt bad leaving for the Marriott but there was nobody at the resort. Restaurant was closed. Pool was small with no people. Room didn’t have a good view. The taxi who picked us up told us that everyone leaves because there is nothing there. Once we got towards the Marriott the island finally felt alive. There were restaurants, bars, energy. Unfortunately the Hilton is off by itself and you can’t walk anywhere. I don’t see that resort staying in business.

Stay here was AMAZING. Staff were very friendly! My ocean view room was absolutely breathtaking. Love hearing the sound of the ocean waves crashing. Room was quiet and serene. I slept like a log! Beautiful island. I will be back and staying at the koi. Enjoyed all that it has to offer. Does not disappoint 🥰

First off, the staff is wonderful! I never encountered such lovely people, but the resort itself is lacking. It is very hard to get to and the roads are bad. For a Curio collection, I expected more. Despite being in a large suite, the room felt cold and austere and the duvet was stained around the edges with some orange flecks. The shower head also sprayed weirdly. The beach could not be walked on and the water was very dark, the pool is very small and the pictures are misleading. The food is decent but expensive. We were meant to stay a week, but checked out on Tuesday morning because we felt so uncomfortable. It was also hard to get to - the roads were unmaintained and the areas surrounding the hotel may be questionable to some.

We were welcomed with a punch drink at check in and enjoyed the beautiful pool until our room was ready. Koi is like a little getaway that no one sees as it is hid behind a golf course with lovely ocean views off our balcony and mountain views on the other side. Everyone was extremely pleasant to talk to and did everything they could to make sure things were perfect! We had a couple drinks at the bar and a delicious dinner at the restaurant. We saw that someone mentioned mosquitos but I have found the entire island is buggy once the sun goes down even more so. Knowing that, we ate inside even with the doors open, bite free. Our only recommendation is coffee is in the room with dry coffee creamer or a couple dairy creamers in the small fridge.
