These raving reviews are fake!!! The ONLY reason I gave this hotel 2 stars was for thr nice staff, other than that it would be negative stars. This is NOT a 4 or 5 star resort. It's falling apart and is absolute trash...but the worst part?!?!? Who goes to an island and stays in a beach front resort with no beach??? The beach is deadly; full of rocks and seaweed and you can't go near the water. There is NO free shuttle to any other beaches, and why would you want to? You can walk or take a taxi, and you have to PAY for a chair and umbrella. Why would I want to go pay more money when I thought I was staying on the beach?? A door handle fell off and almost broke my toe in the bathroom, and our shower doors wouldn't even shut. The pictures lie. Do NOT stay here.

Place is very quiet and nice. Rooms are big, service is good and staff are very pleasant. Problem is beach has been shut down as literally tons of foul smelling seaweed has taken it over. There is literally two to three feet of this rotting stuff all over. Can smell it all over the resort, especially as we have a villa right in the beach, but they do run a shuttle bus to the other side of the island Monday thru Friday for other beaches but convenience is gone and you are charged for umbrellas, etc by local vendors. Since we are beach people we would not recommend anyone going here at this time. Smells like a swamp. Been here two days and see no one cleaning up the beaches.

I feel like Marriott needs to pay attention to this resort. It's falling apart. The interior just looks odd, nothing cheerful about it. The lobby isn't that attractive. The compound shows signs of wear and tear. Beach is terrible. Very strong waves, so much seaweed. The beach is just to take a look and head back to the pool area. I like the fact there are pool area activities to keep guests entertained. There is a very expensive Duty Free store on the ground floor. Had a good chat with the young lad in there about local Rum to look for. The rooms aren't that big. My dad snd I shared a 2 queen bed room. The bed was very comfy though. You can walk to local restaurants, about a leisure 20 mins walk. This is a very safe neighborhood surrounded by many hotels and resorts. The taxi depot isn't far, but the front desk staff can find you a taxi. The staff is very friendly.

Opting for a resort visit from the Port in St. Kitts turned out to be a brilliant decision. Our taxi ride there became an unexpected tour, adding a delightful touch to the journey. Upon securing a day beach pass, we gained access to the resort's pools and beach, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The impeccable landscaping, coupled with the warm and welcoming staff, created an atmosphere of sheer luxury. The real highlight, though, was the breathtaking views from the beach. The inclusive cabanas, available for sharing or private use, added an extra layer of comfort. Without a doubt, I highly recommend indulging in the resort experience when exploring St. Kitts.

The resort was beautiful and well-maintained. There were some reports of excessive seaweed, but the beach was combed each day. We visited off-season and pretty much had the place to ourselves. There was still great service, and the rooms were well appointed with just about anything you would need. the staff was very friendly and helpful and although the resort is not all inclusive, there was a convenient Ram’s grocery store across the street as well as an amazing Indian restaurant Tiranga. We visited the first week in September which was off-season, but we were able to participate in several excursions such as a sunset, catamaran cruise, and a taxi ferry to Nevis for the day. Overall, St. Kitts and Nevis is an expensive the resort was able to easily connect us with transportation wherever we wanted to go.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and it was a little bit more friendly and clean. It definitely needs an update especially in the rooms. It smells musty and the bathroom is so outdated. The sliding glass doors to the deck don’t slide well and the glass is very foggy and dirty. Most of the people are extremely nice and friendly. However, if you walk up to the desk, a few people hardly acknowledge you and we are titanium members. I asked if they would make a reservation at a restaurant and they told me they didn’t know the number. I asked if he would look the number up on his computer and I will give it a try and he said he was not able to do that for me. The next night I asked for reservations by dialing zero, and she was extremely helpful. The pool area needed maintenance sections were close, one of the hot tubs were taped off, and the other one did not have heat. The showers outside some worked something not work, You would think since the hotel was not busy in 2020 and maybe not as busy in 2021 they would’ve used that time to update, paint repair things, but they did not. This is not an exclusive situation with the Marriott properties it seems most of them, including the resorts need desperate updating.

Of all the places we have visited in the Caribbean, this is so far our favourite! The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a number of good restaurants, but it is also easy to walk to a number of other places. The beech is lovely and uncrowded with a beautiful view of three peaks nearby. And of course, the hotel staff is friendly and very kind, and the entire place had a nice comfortable laid-back feel to it. But what we liked most was the diversity represented in the hotel guests; it wasn't just a bunch of fat old white people! There were young, old, black, white, brown, Asian, and everything, and we are much more comfortable with a mix of people and backgrounds.

If you are traveling to the Caribbean, St Kitts offers excellent weather and hospitable accommodations. If money is not an issue, staying at the Marriott would enhance your visit and make a memorable experience. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The room service was excellent and provided fresh linens daily. There are also excellent accommodations for families with children, with daily activities to keep them entertained and a wading pool to keep them cool. For the adults, there is a SPA, gym and a jacuzzi. At nights, you can gather around the gas fire-pit or star gazing from the cabanas anchored at the beach 🏖. And if you feel lucky,🍀 you can try the slot machines in the casino located in the main lobby. Most pool activities end early evening (6 pm) and hotel restaurants are open til 9pm. Room service ends at 11 pm. There are yoga classes in the morning but you need to register at the towel center by the main pool and costs 10 EC. Premier Marriott members can enjoy a hearty complementary continental breakfast, but you must ask for vouchers upon arrival. The hotel is going through some renovations in the main pool area and in the boat decorative sculpture, but do not cause inconvenience to my view as all amenities are accessible. The beach is well maintained and the only caveat is the large amount of seaweed that accumulates at the shore and hotel staff are constantly cleaning it which makes swimming difficult. My visit was at the end of April 2022. The weather was perfect, a little windy and good for sailing, kite flying, or parasailing. The island offered several places to eat and located near the hotel. Some of them are at a walking distance. Right across the hotel there’s a RAM grocery store where you can purchase goods if you are in an extended stay. Food and petrol are expensive as everything is brought to the island. Transportation is readily available and costs vary but most taxi’s fees are about 53 EC or 20 US dollars. If you plan to visit Nevis you need to take the ferry ($22 US round fare) and a departure fee of 5 EC when you leave. You can also rent a car. AVIS is one of the car companies operating in the island, but there are others as well. Overall, St Kitts it’s a great relaxation destination and Marriott provides a home away from home.

Such a great stay! The concierge/ bell men were excellent, they were so helpful with our questions and getting us taxis. The resort was very peaceful but also had fun activities. The bar food was top notch and our bartender Shaquille was fantastic. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the view was great. Perfect location for getting around the island.

Reading other reviews I was thinking we might be disappointed when we arrived, thankfully everything was perfect. The staff was amazing and our villa was at Marriott standards. You can definitely see that Covid had some impact at the Marriott and the island as well. If you are looking for a nice quiet, romantic place to stay , definitely try st kitts Marriott. You won’t be disappointed.

The hotel is average. Property is old and needs LOTS of updating. There is a great lobby bar with fun nightly entertainment and the bartenders there are really amazing! The pool is large and plenty of room to spread out, although the lounge equipment is outdated and could use a refresh. Italian restaurant, Pizza hut, and pool bar were all very good. Loved the chicken Cesar salad at the bar by the pool and the drinks were good. However, I’m writing to warn travelers (especially American women who may travel solo) to beware of the male workers at the hotel, specifically Carldan who works by the pool and beach and Towel Hut. He was flirty from the beginning, which was fine and fun. Asked for my WhatsApp on the second day and we began to communicate and even left the property to hang out four different times. He had to be secretive because it’s against policy. Then I got a call from his girlfriend of six years (and mother of his two children). There was lots of drama involved and I regretted ever having gone there. Be smart. Don’t leave the property with workers who pretend to be single just trying to see what they may be able to get out of Americans traveling solo!

We arrived on a cruise and only booked a day pass here. It was an amazing day by the pool and walking on the beach. Staff was wonderful, and pool was amazing with a swim up bar. Beach was soft and sandy. You should know that all beaches on St Kitts are public beaches. We were disappoint the casino wasn't opend. Was informed its only open a few hours in the evenings.

Marriott Resort and Casino St. Kitts is located about a 15-minute drive from the airport, SKB. If you have a rental car, it is easy to find and plenty of parking space available at the hotel. The resort is huge, and thus, sadly, it is a little impersonal even if the staff are friendly and helpful. Whilst they are doing renovation work, both the property and the room show signs of age and could do with a proper update. There is a large pool area with a lot of daily activities and direct access to the beach. However, since this is the Atlantic coast, the sea tends to be rough. There are several restaurants and bars on the property, and if you want something else, then there are several bars and restaurants as well as grocery stores a few minutes walk from the hotel. There is also a good size gym and a spa at the hotel, and a casino. For Marriott elite members, they give you a voucher for breakfast items and charge you if you want the buffet. All this said it is a nice resort at a good location

Nice hotel with a few restaurants and a casino right on the beach. Nice sized rooms and pool area with a bar. Close to some good restaurants such as Rock Lobster and a grocery store across the street. The continental breakfast is pretty much a full breakfast and I didn't need to upgrade to the buffet any day. Morning showers were warm, not hot, but seemed better as the day went on. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

I came to St Kitts for an anniversary. We were having a great time until I was sitting on patio and huge gusts of wind knocked my glass off the little table. It was very far as patios have no extra lighting which I hope they can improve upon. I ended up stepping on glass. I cleaned it in the sink and wrapped as I am a nurse and knew to add Abx cream to wound. I wrapped in a towel. My foot bled everywhere and wouldn’t stop. It was very deep. Next morning I went to desk to say what happened and they said they would tell housekeeping. They asked if I wanted first aid. Yes! Security is their first aid crew. No problem and I took care of it the whole trip. Today is our last night here. I went to Nevis to IRIE stables for horseback riding which was outstanding. Natives on St Kitts are very happy! Marriott never asked my name or room number. Service needs updating sorry to say. I feel this accident could have been prevented. No glass in a high wind hotel and add lights.

Came here for the day from a cruise ship. Access was $49 per person. The access covers a beach/pool chair and umbrella and various discounts on food and beverage. We arrived at 1130 am and were lucky to get the last umbrella on the beach and a nice young man was able to snag some chairs for us. We ordered some food as soon as we got there, it took 1 hour to arrive. By 1 pm there was no water available, no piña colada. We ordered food at 2pm and we got it (actually I had to go get it) at 345 pm. The availability of beer kept changing; we have no carib, only skol, we ran out of skol, only bud light. Now we only have carib. The Marriott only had 2 people taking care of the entire beach. Ridiculous.

Title: A Five-Star Oasis of Luxury and Hospitality! I recently had the pleasure of staying at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Royal Beach, and I am absolutely thrilled to share my exceptional experience. From the moment we stepped into the grand lobby to the final farewell, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. First and foremost, I must commend the impeccable service provided by Bernadine Pemberton, the Assistant Front Desk Manager. Bernadine's professionalism and attention to detail were truly outstanding. She went above and beyond to ensure our check-in process was seamless and that every request and inquiry were met with a warm smile and swift resolution. Her commitment to guest satisfaction is truly commendable and added an extra layer of warmth to our entire stay. The accommodations at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort were nothing short of luxurious. Our spacious room not only boasted breathtaking views of the Royal Beach but also featured modern amenities that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The resort's meticulous attention to cleanliness and upkeep further enhanced our overall sense of well-being during our time there. Traveling with family can sometimes be a logistical challenge, but the St. Kitts Marriott Resort effortlessly catered to the needs of our party, which included my wife, two sons, and niece. The resort's family-friendly atmosphere, coupled with the plethora of activities and dining options, ensured that each member of our group found something to enjoy. Whether it was lounging by the pristine pool, indulging in delicious meals at the on-site restaurants, or partaking in the various recreational offerings, there was never a dull moment. In conclusion, the St. Kitts Marriott Resort, Royal Beach, is a true gem that combines luxury, comfort, and top-notch service. Bernadine Pemberton's exceptional hospitality and the resort's dedication to accommodating families made our stay unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone seeking a five-star experience in the beautiful surroundings of St. Kitts. We look forward to returning to this paradise of relaxation and refinement in the near future!

My wife and I stayed a week at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort in early February. The lobby, lobby bar, and the Calypso dining rooms were nice, and the main pool and landscaping were awesome. Our room (Royal Ocean Suite) was tastefully decorated with travertine floors and furniture that's actually comfortable to lounge on, unlike many hotels. And the beach 'gazebos' are very nice and set on a pretty, deep stretch of beach. Be warned that the waves are pretty big, and it seemed that they never backed off despite there being no storms around the entire week. Not really a swimming beach unless you a Navy S.E.A.L., I think. The breakfast buffet in the Calypso dining room left a bit to be desired in my opinion. We opted for the continental breakfast (which is free for Platinum and Titanium Bonvoy members). It was tasty, portioned right, and price right (free for us!). The bar has a tasty burger, but we ate almost all of our lunches and dinners out to get the local taste. It's probably a few dollars cheaper to eat out as well, although the food prices weren't outrageous as I thought they would be based on other reviews. The real reason I gave only 4 stars is that other than the room and pool/landscaping the place is looking a little long in the tooth. The long, open air hallways leading to the rooms show exposed beams and ceilings that have a considerable amount of mold. Two of the 4 elevators were in various states of being replaced it appeared, although no work was done on them during our week long stay. I don't believe any of the issues pose a health or safety problem, but at the price of the rooms I would expect something a bit more put together. Overall a nice experience, despite the shortcomings.

Excellent hotel, the location was perfect and the staff was amazingly professional and courteous! Joshua at the front desk when I checked in was awesome. The ladies at the restaurant were beautiful and offered great customer service - Elizabeth, Tammie, Dorsell, Michelle, Aslyn, Melissa and Tiandra. There were so many other folks I would like to thank but I cannot remember all of their names. It was an excellent stay!

Beautiful hotel situated in a beautiful location. The room we booked was the Garden Room for 3 people and it had more than enough space for us all, and the views from the room is amazing. Food is expensive here but there are plenty of places outside of the hotel you can eat at. Will definitely be back in a couple of years 😁

  • 5/5 Johnny K. 9 months ago on Google
Rooms are beautiful, very clean and always being tidied up. Service was spectacular everyone was very nice and helpful. Location was also beautiful just the seaweed coming in from the Atlantic ruins the beach slightly. Not an issue whatsoever, the hotel offers free shuttles to beaches on the Caribbean side so you can enjoy the beautiful blue crystal clear waters. Definitely the best resort/hotel on the island.

Best beach on the island!! Thanks Arbon for always taking care of everyone that visits! Shout out to Shauna Gilbert too!! Everyone is so friendly. Beautiful pools. We enjoyed the sushi @ the sushi bar there at the resort. Look forward to our next visit.

The staff were extremely warm and welcoming as we checked in and throughout our stay. It was rainy during our visit and the roof was leaking in many different areas throughout the hotel which made me concerned about slipping and falling and also possible mold. The live entertainment was fun and allowed many people on vacation to share good times together. The location was great for people coming straight from the airport but the water was choppy (considering the hotel sits on the Atlantic Ocean). We didn’t get to go in the pool due to rain but the Bingo on Thursday night was the highlight of my stay. It was so much fun! Would come back for a group trip but if you are looking for something more romantic, I’d pick someplace more quiet.

The rooms are lovely in the ocean side. The housekeeping staff is very good. The sushi was outstanding but the food by the pool is bad bar food with indifferent service. The front desk folks and front door staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The casino, security, and club desk folks bordered on surly.

  • 5/5 Becky R. 1 year ago on Google
It is true that you cannot use the beach because of the seaweed. There are other beaches you can catch the shuttle to that area amazing. The resort still deserves five stars because of the incredible staff. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Probably the best service we have ever received on vacation. My family highly recommends.

The staff was wonderful. The food was ok. The staff were amazing. The resort needs an update outside. Beach chairs and umbrellas need updating. The restrooms were very disappointing. But, we enjoyed our day!

The St Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino is always my hotel of choice when visiting the beautiful island of St Kitts. The hotel is situated in Frigate Bay, on the Atlantic Ocean, and a short walk to the Caribbean Sea makes it the ideal location. On arrival, you are greeted by the friendly staff and a welcome island punch to quench ones thirst. The check-in process is quick and efficient, and it is not long before you enter your room to take the weight off your feet and prepare for the evening activities. The room had a gorgeous and comfortable king-size bed that aids a good night's sleep. There was a small fridge, a coffee making machine, a lounge area, and a balcony that overlooked the picturesque mountains. What a spectacular view to wake up to every morning.

My experience from time I arrived at the resort and checked in with Michael was fantastic. Our bellman Troy was very nice and told us about great places to get great local food. Everyone was just so nice and helpful. One beautiful sunny morning we decided we'll eat at the on site breakfast cafe. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by a lady name Arnic. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but she had the worst attitude ever. She had no patience whatsoever. The way she talked to us is unacceptable!!! She just took us to a table and took our order because she stated the server was busy. We didn't know who our server would be so we're thinking at least Arnic would bring back at least our drinks. She never even looked back at us......so sad because it was like 10:30am not much ppl was inside having breakfast. We was about to get up n walk out but I saw a server helping a next table so I asked her if she can at least bring us our drinks when she's finished and she did with a beautiful smile.Tammy and Jemoy saved our lives thank u so much for turning a bad experience into a great one. Arnic needs to attend a customer service training class. Her attitude is unacceptable especially working at a marriott.

Decent rooms. Shower pressure good, great AC, internet worked well. Facilities are great. Beach access is convenient. Plenty of restaurants walkable and onsite. The service was so-so in the restaurants, though.

We stayed one week at this resort. Beach wasnt what we expected but the resort workers always were on point with whatever we needed. They made us feel welcome, they always asked if we needed anything else.

The 2 bedroom villa, incredible. But the staff, even better. Maggie from the beach bar, the best!! Jarrod made sure we were taken care of before we even arrived. Every single staff member goes out of their way to say hello to you. We will be back, can not say enough great things about this place. Gorgeous

I would give this hotel 3 out of 5 stars. There was a lot of construction going on throughout the property. The casino was dead! The Friday and Saturday night live band was great!! The wait staff of the Calyspo Restaurant were awful!! The attitutes of the waitstaff in the Calypso Restaurant was if we woke them up and asked them to wait on us. They don't follow up to see if need anything. You have to ask for a spoon even though you''ve ordered coffee. When asking for an omlette the cook was not friendly. I wish i could've asked for money back but breakfast was included in the price of my room. I would have much rather eaten somewhere else because of the service. The food was cold at the buffet! Ths stars of the hotel are Josephine in Housekeeping, Thomeca in the Cafe, Chelston and tall brown man with the hat at the Front Door, Michael K and Michael R at the Front Desk and the tall youngman at the Excursion Desk. These Marriott Stars exemplify what great customer service and professionalism should be. The 3 ladies in the jewelry store "Gems" on Level 2 were friendly. Charmaine down on the Ground Level has great customer service! A hotel this size needs a concierge's desk. This property is huge and has a lot of potential!

Good! -Staff are great at reception very helpful -Rooms are big , upgraded us too! -Sushi bar is amazing! Chef is talented -Supermarket and pharmacy over road -AC was brilliant and throat felt good in mornings -rooms always cleaned on time -balcony nice -gym decent Bad… -Location unless you have a car! Close to airport but best beaches are 20 mins drive south/west. Cabs are very expensive - Beach is not nice! Better ones in England so that says it all. -Beds around pool are not nice, very cheap and outdated. -Expensive breakfast -Alot of building work going on at hotel, so men are hanging around doing renovation work. One guy who worked there would not leave me alone when i was trying to relax and my partner was upstairs. Very uncomfortable

This post is about a gem at this resort. It is literally hidden in plain sight Arwee - it is a sushi bar in the middle of the lobby. No real signage just a bar and lots of seating. Best service at this Marriott hands down (minus Melisa in Calypso's). Attentive, funny, and willing to have a conversation. The menu is two fold, both Sushi (lots of choices) and a more American menu where you can grab a burger or nachos. Laid back and no reservations needed, which is a nice change at this resort.

My stay at The Marriott was spectacular, better than I could have imagined. Mina from room service was especially the reason behind my time in St. Kitts being as glorious as it was. From assuring that my complimentary wine was delivered, to finding a source and booking an appointment to braid my hair in the local parts of town. The girl is absolutely amazing and the most hospitable person I have ever came across. The best was Mina even sorting out my travel destinations and pointing me to the best spots before my short trip came to an end. Thank you to this amazing staff member who went above and beyond, I look forward to returning.
