**week of March 13, 2022** Took an Open Fun Bus Tour and ended up at the worst beach I'd ever been to on a cruise excursion. Broken/ripped chairs lined up in two rows close together. Ripped, dirty and rusty umbrellas. Lady charged $10, $15 or $20 for two chairs and an umbrella. Local men harrassing women who didn't have a man with them. Touching/massaging feet to get some money. This was NOT a place where you could just chill on a lounger and enjoy the peace. The parking lot was directly in back of the beach and if the buses were running, you smell the exhaust. $1 to use the bathroom, $2 extra if you needed toilet paper! Sketchy bar and food... First time in 27 years that I've complained about an excursion. This one was an experience I would like to forget. I will never go back to St. Lucia.

This is a very nice beach with gentle waves. About ten feet into the water, there are some rocks but only for a short distance. There are a couple restaurants with wifi and a free parking lot too. I rented a jet ski ($60 USD/30 minutes) and drove around the bay with my son. There are many small and interesting fish and your kids will love to snorkel. There are beach chairs to rent and some trees for shade. My only warning is to not take anything given to you “for free” by the locals. A guy kept making my kids stuff out of reeds. My mother-in-law had already paid for our beach chairs (I did not know this) and the guy asked me if I wanted to pay for them when she left for a second. I did, and later found she had paid for them - when confronted, I was told the $45 was for a fish and a grasshopper made from reeds and wasn’t able to get my $ back.

Part of the same beach as Sandals. Located North of Sandals. There's an open barrier separating the two beaches. The benefits: - Free parking - Close view of Pigeon Island National Park - A secluded beach with a sense of security - Restaurants a short walk away - Less touristy and quieter than the beach next door - Less solicitors - they tend to be on the Sandals side. Both beaches offers turquoise waters when the sun is out.

Small public beach, good space for parking, good bars and restaurants on beach.

A bit pushy from the locals trying to sell you things. Got offered marijuana and cocaine. Water is not the turquoise blue you expect from a Caribbean island. Beach was a little dirty. Stepped on a glass bottle in the water, it was dull from being in the sea for some time thank goodness. Came off a Cruise ship and taxi cost 40 round trip and 20 for a beach chair with umbrella.

We didn't go into the main area with the food and site. Instead, we stayed on the roadway leading to this. There were a few locals parked and enjoying the view and also bathing there also. The areas with fewer beach sports and activities tend to be nicer. We enjoyed our late evening sea bath!

Be careful for the guy’s on the beach who’s offering you fresh fruits and coconut with rhum in it. First, they bring us some fruits and coconut and don’t ask for anything. And then they went away and come back when they saw we were leaving. Then they ask aggressively for 60 EC for it. After, we try to negotiate it, he increases the price to 100 EC and try to arm us and our rental car with a knife. One of the guy have tattoos, dreads and pale eyes. Please don’t get anything from him, he’s staying in the white tower.

The beach is nice but the locals are extortionist. Initially we wanted to go to pigeon Island but it was closed for the holidays. I think that was a mistake on their part so many tourist came to inquire if it was closed. Its the holiday people were looking for places to go. The Island and tours should have been open. But anyway I digress...so we decided to go the the pigeon public beach in order not to waste the trip. We saw some chairs so we decided to sit. A man came walking up to us and he said that you have to pay to rent the chairs. So my husband said how much? That's when the man said 40 EC dollars. 40 dollars for a chair. 40 EC for a chair. Ridiculous so we just said nope and walked away. Left our stuff in the car went into the sea for a few minutes and left. 40 EC dollars and the chairs aren't even that great. 40 EC are you serious kmt. Many others came and turn them down because that is ridiculous.

The hiking trails was awesome as well as the view you get when u reach the top. The place is clean and well kept. Beaches are lovely one of the you cannot bathe in as it is rough and the other is very nice and relaxing. There is also bathroom facilities available to rinse off and change.

😠 They take care of you which is to say they won't leave you alone, they wanted $20 before we even sat down - someone else starts panhandling you at the same time weaving something out of grass that you never asked for. There was a family sitting next to us that said they had been harassed all day, th...
