We stayed here 4 nights and were sad leaving.. One of the most cleanest place I’ve seen so far. Room has been cleaned and towels were changed everyday and they smelled very very nice. There are 3 full private flats on the second floor, each has its own private balcony with a view of ocean, bathroom & toilet, kitchen fully equipped, a comfortable bed and tv. Being very sensitive to noise, we haven’t heard any noise from other rooms. There is also a roof above second floor which is available to all guests to enjoy the views and sky at night. There is also private parking available, for appx 3 cars. The place is also very well secured. Away from street car noises, front looking at ocean and back facing to a forest and a hill. We woke up to bird noises in the mornings, it was full of peace. Wish we stayed longer. Arkendstone exceeded our expectations! Thank you Kevin for making us feel comfortable.

Modern furnishings, privacy, easy compact storage space and a peaceful, private balcony allows for a user friendly space where it just feels like home away from home. Effective air-conditioning was an added bonus as it was very humid during our stay in early March. The shower was a delight and there was always enough hot water! My wife was happy as there was an effective hairdryer available. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Braai/barbecue facilities are available on the upstairs balcony from where the view is amazing - if you love star gazing, you'll love this spot! Nearby restaurants and the supermarket is within walking distance but you will likely need a taxi to get to Le Morne Public Beach. Kevin is friendly and easily accessible as he lives on the property and you can message him for information about the area, recommendations as well as a taxi when you suddenly have that urge to go out. The apartment was squeaky clean. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Mauritius.

Perfect location to drive to all the main attractions of South west. Large rooms and helpful owner.

The location of Arkenstone Studios (three in number and all three on the first floor) is excellent. We were there for 6 night View of the ocean and the mountain Le Morne. The location is also excellent for excursions. You can easily get to Chamarel, the beaches of Le Morne, Tamarin, Le Grand Basin, Flic en Flac and the southern west coast. Arkenstone Studios has a finely divided kitchen/bedroom and a practical bathroom. The shower is spacious! Everything is contemporary. The studios have a small but nice balcony with a view of the ocean and the mountain Le Morne. You sleep on a good mattress in a king-size bed in a quiet environment. The kitchen is well equipped with two gas burners, a good fridge with freezer and a microwave. You can park your car safely there. An excellent, modern supermarket is within walking distance. And last but not last: the studio is kept perfectly clean every day.

Very clean room, beautiful view, and super helpful host:) We were having hard time finding a place where we can check-in right after our arrival at 4am. Kevin was so helpful on the arrangement . Easy access to Le Morne Beach, Seven Colored Earth and etc. There is a big supermarket down the road where you can get SIM card and almost whatever you need. I'd definitely recommend!

Amazing 4 days in the Arkenstone studio, thanks to Kevin for being such a great host, helpful and nice person. Prior the trip he helped me to plan it with recommendations and have me contact number of locals to do activities around the area. The apartment was spotless clean, every day they changed the towels and everything was extremely clean. We also asked to wash out clothes and they have a washing machine service that they provided our clothes the following day clean and tidy. The apartment is really safe, there are cameras around and even a emergency bottom inside. There is la Gaulette supermarket 5 min by foot and 2x ATM where to withdraw money if needed. Le Morne beach is 9 min by car. Thank you for everything Kevin, we definitely recommend your apartment to everyone 😊

Three studio apartments on the second floor, great quiet and secure location. Each apartment is comfortable, clean and well equipped. Surfers have the option of washing the equipment. The owner, Kevin, is welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable.

Delighted to have stayed there. Very reasonnable price for a pleasant studio with sea view. It was incredibly clean. Cleaning is done every day and they changed towels everyday. The owner, Kevin, is lovely and has plenty of nice suggestions for restaurants, activities etc. We stayed 2 nights during our trip in the south but wished we could have stayed more!

Kevin is a great host. He’s ready to provide any information you need. The apartment is big and the location is great. There is a big supermarket and many restaurants within walking distance.

Good place with a friendly owner. Apartment is clean and has a balcony. Every day the appartement is cleaned. Strategic point to visit several sites in the surroundings.

Had a fantastic stay, easy parking, well equipped, cost effective, (partial) sea views, supermarket & restaurants nearby, all the good stuff fyi, I would recommend hiring a car, we found OLA was excellent Highly recommended

Perfect place to stay! The best apartment we had during our 1 month trip. The host is great as well.

We had the best stay in Arkenstone Studios in La Gaulette. It was a big apartment with all. Kevin, the host, was amazing and helped us during our stay by answering all our questions and recommending us good restaurants, places to visit etc. He even offers affordable dolphin tours at sunrise. We enjoyed being there for 8 days. You need a car to go around but you have free parking at Arkenstone Studios. Supermarket and some restaurants are in walking distance. You can also barbeque in Arkenstone Studios with a view on Le Morne Brabant which Kevin helps you to organise. We can only recommend and will be back again!

Very clean, modern and spacious appartments. Fully equipped kitchen and supermarket in walking distance. Extremely friendly and helpful host. Kevin can help you arrange a means of transport if you don't already have one. Only downside is that the appartment doesn't have a pool, but there are a lot of nice beaches close by.
