Lux Le Morne is truly special! Their kids club is top-notch and keeps the little ones busy and happy. Especially Sabrina from kids club. The food is really Amazing! Every restaurant has its own unique dishes, and each meal felt like a treat. Plus, the staff are so professional and kind; they always made sure we had everything we needed. However, there's a thing with the beach. It's public, so there are people there who aren't from the hotel. This takes away some of the privacy and the exclusive feel I was hoping for. It's a bit unsettling and I was feeling little bit unsafe. Even though there are guards and cameras, I felt more nervous because my villa was right by the beach. But with the hotel's good parts, it's still a fantastic place to stay. Just be aware of the beach situation.

Lux* Le Morne hotel offered an unforgettable honeymoon experience. The staff's warm hospitality was remarkable. The beautiful beach location was perfect. The local cuisine was delicious, and the variety of dishes impressed us. The drinks served by the staff were excellent. The hotel also had a wide range of activities. Highly recommend Lux* Le Morne for a magical getaway.

What makes this hotel special is the location and the beach. -the food quality & taste It was ok - The behavior of the staff wasn’t classy as a five-star hotel - There are cockroaches in the room. It was supposed to ensure the cleanliness of the room and spray it with pesticides before handing it over to the resident

Lovey hotel with stunning view of Le Morne Mountain and super excellent service. We stayed at Prestige Junior Suite that have direct access to the beach. Food is delicious at all restaurants. Variety of options are available for vegetarian and dinner chef was accommodating all our special food requests. Beach guards were so friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay

If you're planning a trip to Mauritius, choosing LUX hotel chain is a fantastic choice. We stayed at three different locations during our journey, and each one was exceptional, well-maintained, and truly 5-star. The staff was very friendly, the food was excellent, and everywhere was clean and enjoyable. Definitely a great idea for spending your time.

What an exceptional and wholesome experience! We travelled to Mauritius for our honeymoon and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The beach is arguably one of the best on the island, full of palm trees, dense nature and obsiously the incredible Le Morne mountain towering over the hotel, offering the best view in Mauritius that money can buy. The weather on that part of the island is by far the best, which is something that is common knowledge to the locals but not to tourists. The rooms are insanely good, the food and buffet sublime, the staff welcoming and attentive and the cocktails - drinks to die for. All inclusive package is the way to go if you want to make sure that you enjoy every bit of pampering and every slice of heaven of this awe inspiring hotel. Thank you for a most amazing time and for making our honeymoon an experience to never forget and always cherish. Highly recommended.

World-class resort in a paradise-like destination. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. When we arrived in south-west, we were planning to move around but the hotel facilities, ambiance, included beach activities, swimming pool, etc. meant we spent all our time in the hotel. It was a very relaxing stay thanks to the Luxe team and a special shoutout to Mr. Jason from the front desk for taking good care of us. Will not hesitate to be back soon.

Fabulous on every level... super friendly and helpful staff deliver the very best of well pitched 5 star service. Always on point and nothing too much trouble. The General Manager made a point of meeting new guests and it seems his motivation to make sure guests have an exception experience is infectious with his team. The rooms are chic and stylish. The bedding is so luxurious you struggle to get out to do all the great activities on offer. The location is fantastic, being on the lee side of the prevailing winds always makes the white sandy beach tempting and around the corner is the reliable and famous Le Morne water sports location to make sure everyone in the family is happy. And some great hiking to be had nearby. Beautiful spot for sunset. Totally recommendable for all high end travellers, whether you are the adventurous type or just want to chill luxuriously. Thank you for a memorable and very happy stay!

We chose to come to this hotel for what we hoped would be the holiday of a lifetime. We spent a lot of time researching. Overall it has been an experience of highs and lows and mostly lows I am afraid to say. When you spend over £600 a night you have a certain expectation of service delivery. I have to say we were really disappointed. If the hotel had been £200 a night we would have definitely not been so disappointed. As with a lot of hotels you are directed towards the app - which has to be one of the worst hotel apps I have ever encountered - it was useless - impossible to find the date and zero in app communication which would help this hotel immeasurably. The location is the shining star - The beach is kept pristine and there are an abundance of sunbeds and bean bags. Just about enough to satisfy a full hotel. The sun beds aren't that comfy and despite a button to call staff by each one it is hit and miss as to whether someone comes to take your order. When they do - beware the cost.. We booked half board because of the exceptionally high cost of all inclusive. I also don't drink, which is where you get most of the benefits of an all inclusive package. What will, until my dying day, be a massive no no for a good hotel, is to find that they charge you for water. This hotel is THE MOST CONFUSING when it comes to this: At breakfast on half board you get free water, tea and coffee - but at dinner you do not. It's just money grabbing and very, very confusing if you are on half board - why one rule for breakfast and another for dinner? This hotels ‘rules’ are equally confusing - does the restaurant charge or not charge? Or when does it charge? And then what does it charge for and what doesn't it charge for? Eventually we settled on just going to the same restaurant every night - The Kitchen - which was appropriately named and honestly like a glorified self-serve Butlin’s canteen. The food: the look of the food was good and there was plenty of choice, but most of it fell down on taste. Everything was just so bland. Fish fried fresh in front of you - bland, desserts that looked eye-wateringly good - bland. I ended up just having plain pasta with oil and garlic every night from the pasta station! The highlight to the restaurant for me were the three cats who wandered round begging scraps. Funnily enough they had developed a certain palate and wouldn't be fobbed off with anything less than sashimi or striploin beef (all bland too!). The bedroom is something that is to be praised for its design and layout. The standard of the cleaning and maid service not up to par and so very random. They were however FASTIDIOUS when it came to checking the mini bar! That was never left unchecked! Not surprising with this hotel as they even put coconut water for sale next to the free water stations on the beach! I wasn’t prepared for - misogyny - I was really surprised how many men here would only talk to the man. As a honeymoon destination I simply say don't go here. These guys are professionals at selling the dream. As a result they are raking it in hand over fist to bring in a bunch of people at their biggest ever spending time on a holiday - it's quite cynical and as a honeymoon couple you won't feel special as everyone else here , pretty much, is on honeymoon too. The honeymoon package looks good but is in fact a bit ‘meh’ The ‘bubbles and canape toast to love’ on our terrace was hilarious, for me, a slice of cucumber and an apple juice and for him a glass of warm “Welcome wine” and a soggy snack. This was served on our terrace at some time between 4.00pm and 5.00pm. I kid you not. The best part of the package was the massage but honestly I’d rather pay less and not have it. We started joking to ourselves that a stay here left us feeling like hotel inspectors rather than honeymooners. I wish we had gone elsewhere with our budget now.

Love at first sight. The hotel is not über new yet the atmosphere is very relaxed and the service is very high. 4 nights of complete relax. Only downside was some smell in the room (which went away with the ac) Food is overall good in all restaurants… the Thai is very nice but a bit overpriced Will sure come back

Overall a rather disappointing stay as service level was extremely low compared to what we experience at other 5-star hotels on the island before. That’s with LUX asking for same high-end prices of course. A few examples of no pro-activity by staff: traveling with a toddler you need help with the buggy when getting into restaurant and stairs. Despite many staff standing around never was any help offered without asking. Service in restaurant basically not existing: plates not cleared which led me to bring them back multiple times. Despite plenty of staff standing around clearly lacking any sort of training. Many small issues around the resort: water stations at the beach great idea but running out of cups at 10am and never re-filled. Same with the large white boxes supposed to contain towels. Never ever had any in there and needed to ask staff to get some for you - Motivation zero. Many requests simply missed (beach orders not appearing, drinks at restaurant or bars missed). Asked for simple cotton pads to be refilled in room for three times over two days before anything happened. Just not justifying the luxurious pricing. Two exceptions: Hans at the beach and especially Paola at the kids club providing top notch service, many thanks for that!

Great beach side location with stunning views. Resort generally relaxing with high level of maintenance. Food excellent - Kitchen East and Beach - quality ingredients well presented. Service in all areas generally good. Management extremely attentive. Many nationalities but predominantly Russian during our stay

Beautiful location. Amazing birdsong, so not that quiet, but lovely to hear them. Food is fabulous. A lot to do, if you want. Probably best to get a car but we had some knowledgable taxi drivers who could give us some of the history of the island.

The ground staff is as much of a highlight as the location. Might not be a 5 star hotel, but the kindness and willingness to help from everyone we met was outstanding. We had our 1 year old with us and they made us feel super welcome and comfortable. I wish they would all receive a fair share of the profits made by this hotel, as it is a little overpriced. Food was good, but honestly not better than other local restaurants around the island where the cost is only a fraction of what Lux charges. Gorgeous views of Le Morne, warm swimming pools and prestine beach too.

We had a great honeymoon stay. Our Junior Suite was well-appointed and beautiful, as was the entire property. The breakfast buffet was insane and massages were great. We also enjoyed our dinner at East. The service is incredible, always anticipating your needs. Thank you especially to the Food and Beverage Manager who was incredibly friendly. But of note, the two highlights of our stay were Paul, our server at the beach (he was the best!!!) and our dinner at Vik’s. If you are food people, you absolutely must book a private dinner with Vik.

Beautiful hotel within incredible nature. The EAST restaurant is truly amazing (their chef is also adorable- such a kind person), the main restaurant and part of the other staff for us lacks in staff that understands 5* hotels. For the reception also excellent helpful and well trained staff with Jason, also the Spa is beautiful and relaxing. Overall very good choice

We went for sundowner drinks and dinner at the Thai restaurant. This place is absolutely amazing. Everything is well thought out from the guests' perspective. Amazing sunset views from the bar. Extensive drink menu and delicious cocktails. Best staff on the island. The staff are super friendly and pay very close attention to the guests' needs. The Thai restaurant is cozy and intimate. The chef is very good. I highly recommend this resort and would love to come back on a future visit to Mauritius. We visited several resorts during our trip to Mauritius. This one was my favorite and the best of all of them.

We loved Lux Le Morne and had nice holiday at this hotel, except for one issue. The food offered was incredible and of a high standard. We loved the idea of ordering food at lunch that could be delivered poolside. We never had a bad meal or any stomach issues whilst on this holiday. The pools were clean, and there were many to choose from across the resort. These were also great for families and small children. We visited during May, so the weather was about 25 degrees and perfect for us as not too hot or cold. Service was brilliant in both the restaurants and bars as staff were polite, friendly, and professional. The only issue worth noting was our room had a dead lizard or creature behind the wardrobe, and it was creating an increasingly horrible smell. Staff moved us out of the room and placed us in an alternative. This had a giant generator literally beside the room and outside seating area. This made it impossible to relax or sit there during our stay. We did contact staff about this but told they were at full capacity and could not move us again. This did put a negative on our holiday, as you pay a significant amount for the holiday and then hear a generator outside the apartment. You don't spend thousands and thousands of pounds to fly half way around the world to put up with a buzzing/humming noise by your room. We opted to go to the pool or sit near the beach, but it meant in the evenings, sitting outside the room was not an option. Nothing was offered in compensation for the room move and constsnt noisy generator, and I feel this went below the expectations for our stay. It's a real shame when something like this happens as the rest of the resort was amazing.

We had a fantastic time at Lux Le Morne, celebrating our honeymoon! Can’t really fault them on anything - the location, the rooms, the food, the service, the entertainment - we loved all of it! We had an all inclusive package and would highly recommend it. Looking forward to visiting this amazing hotel and place again one day! The sunsets alone are to die for!😍

Love it.

Went here for honeymoon some years ago. Still a nice place. This time just wanted to have lunch. We were treated like criminals outside and guarded to the restaurant. Ridiculous. However, people are friendly otherwise and THE BEACH restaurant was good, but not top. Service the same. Value for money not good compared to other places. Yet, so good memories for the place and the locations is stunning.

Exceptional hotel in every single detail: the staff, the food, the cleanliness, the rooms, the location... Everything just perfect. To highlight: the quality of the food (especially the level of the pastry) and having an outdoor heated pool (it is much appreciated in the months of July-August, which correspond to the Mauritian winter)

10/10. Everything about this hotel is perfect. Food, service, views, sunsets! Architecture is amazing, lighting in the evening is very warm and romantic. Amazing place!! Even the activities are very high quality - cinema under the stars (!!) and yoga were my fav. Nothing to complain about

What a wonderful place! My husband and I stayed for 10 days in May. The location is wonderful, with the dramatic Le Morne mountain in the background and the most beautiful beach. The decor was great, a mix of chic & modern, with a touch of traditional Mauritian elements. We stayed half of the stay in the superior room and the other half in the junior ocean suite and both room types were great. The junior ocean had a veranda and no upstairs/downstairs neighbours giving a feeling of a private paradise. The food was delicious as for resort standards, we took the all in option (great value for money!) and usually enjoyed our lunches and dinners at the Beach restaurant. Make sure to book a private beach lunch at Vik’s - wonderful food and experience! What made our stay even more special were the wonderful people - the staff is incredibly friendly, polite and smiling (which allowed them to sometimes get away with slow service - island vibes :-) ). This extremely friendly atmosphere made us enjoy this wonderful place even more. Overall - fully recommended for a relaxing holiday!

Incredible location, amazing service from all staff, and everything was very clean. Vegetarian options in the evening buffet could be improved, however the chef's were so helpful and made special vegetarian dishes to suit our needs upon request. Nearby to some of the main tourist attractions in the South Island.

Superb hotel with great amenities with a very proactive and friendly staff. Food and cocktails are in line with the hotel standards. Talking about staff and food, a special mention must be made to Vik, the guest experience manager. He has got the best office in the world, right in front of the ocean. Try to catch him as you bump into him at breakfast or lunch time and ask about the sea urchin tasting. He will go fish them out and prepare them for you with a glass of white wine and a touch of lemon juice. It was awesome, thank you Vik! The location is incredible down Mount Morne as it is close to typical places that ought to be visited and only 40 min away from the airport by car. The beach is well protected by the coral barrier which offers splendid shows with the large waves coming from the ocean. Not to mention sunsets that can be enjoyed with a fresh cocktail served directly in a coconut harvest on the beach itself! The slope to the water is not very pronounced and makes it an easy access. The sand on that spot is thin enough to make it comfortable walking along the water but not too thin so it doesn't fly away at the first wind. That is not the case of other hotels further up the beach which feature a sand that is more a mix of sand grains and coral swarf that is not the most pleasant. Great experience with my wife in this place that we very much recommend to whomever is looking for either a place to stay and relax or a spot from which to travel around and visit the island of Mauritius.

This is a truly exceptional hotel. One of our best experience ever. The location, the spa, the rooms, the food and the truly amazing staff have made our stay an unforgivable experience. The East and the Beach restaurants are highly qualitative and the Spa treatments are great too. But what really stands out is the professionalism and the friendliness of all the people working here.

We are so sad to leave this place. We have spent a week here for our honeymoon and I’m so glad we picked this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful, especially Roshan with his recommendations on dolphin swimming- which is a must. The restaurants have been great with accommodating my diets. And since is was our honeymoon they made a little surprise for us which is very appreciated. We will definitely come back Thanks for everything

My fiancé and I have had an incredible stay at this hotel. To sum up? - Firstly every member of staff was extremely friendly and polite; always saying good morning and good evening, always checking on you to see if you needed anything. I have never been to a hotel where the staff have been as warm and friendly as here. From the gardeners to the bell boy, everyone was so lovely. - the food was exemplary. Such a huge variety on offer, such good quality. And if you go all inclusive as we did, the variety of food and drink on offer is amazing. And to top it off, the alcoholic drinks were strong. - the beach was fantastic, always clean and tidy. - the pools were excellent Clean. - all the sun Loungers were clean. - lots and lots of staff members around the hotel. - the hotel is very well spaced out and it never felt busy at all! A bonus for us. - the rooms were excellent, spotless, and well equipped with a mini bar safe and all the other amenities you could think of, - a fantastic spa very well priced. - the staff are happy to help if you want to plan a special occasion say a special dinner. The grounds of the hotel are immaculate and the plants and flowers are tended to everyday. - the bar is excellent and very well stocked for all possible drinks. All in all our stay was easily an 11/10. I definitely recommend going all inclusive too as everything is included and there’s so much on offer. Such a beautiful time, beautiful hotel, with amazing friendly staff. The staff made our stay extra special. We had the “standard” room, but there was nothing standard about it. We felt there was no need to pay for the upgraded room as the beach and pool were excellent and that’s where we spent most of our time. Also the boat house is fantastic and plenty of excursions can be arranged at very good prices. Lots of sports, yoga and wellness activities are also included free or charge. We loved it was also a smaller, quieter hotel. As I say, it never felt busy, and we always had plenty of space and peace. A lovely place to relax! Would we come back? 110% yes! We are already looking at coming back to this hotel soon in the next year or two 🙂

We have been in 2017 in this beautiful hotel. I can say it’s the best hotel in Le Morne area. We had some issues during the check in, but on the end it was happy end! We glad that we choose this hotel. So many details. Breakfast with good choices of healthy food, beach are with a lot of space and comfy sun beds. Evening : life music. Nice atmosphere always. Chill and relax. We had great time . Highly recommended. Hope they are still having the best hospitality. In that area.

We spent our honeymoon at Lux Le Morne. Our initial impressions were very positive! Great service when we checked in, the room was AMAZING and the buffet was incredible! We had the all inclusive package, but during our stay we noted that a lot of things were excluded from our package, and all the excluded items were so expensive. It doesn't feel like we got value for our money and if we could turn back time, we would go half board instead. Our overall experience was really positive and we loved our stay. Shout out to the litchi ice cream, which was out of this world, to the hotel decorating our room for our honeymoon and to Avie who treated us like royalty the moment we sat down in the restaurant. I would go back to this hotel in a heart beat.

    - [ ] Hands down the best resort we have ever stayed in, and we’ve stayed in many around the world ! - [ ] The vibe is so classy and calm - [ ] Staff is extremely professional and courteous - [ ] Majority of residents are Europeans and South Africans - [ ] Food is so delicious and activities are great! - [ ] We booked the Ocean/prestige junior suite and it was breath taking overlooking the ocean and sunset with no guests above us, so private and amazing - [ ] We booked swimming with dolphins and it was the highlight of this trip!! Shoutout to the amazing crew Michaelo and Alex who made the experience 10x better, very professional, very respectful, very patient and they made sure we were happy and having a good time! I recommended the trip to everyone I know as these two made it a special experience, so thank you! - [ ] We also had a romantic dinner on the beach to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and it was magical. The setting, the food, the whole vibe, and most importantly our host/server for the evening, Muddoo. He was so patient, so professional, and such a gentleman. I like how he is so passionate about what he does and made us feel like his own guests. The dinner experience was the best we had throughout our stay in Mauritius among 3 different resorts. They accommodated our dietary restrictions of gluten and lactose free and alcohol free diet while maintaining the deliciousness! Hats off to the chef and special big thanks to our man Muddoo for making it special. - [ ] We also had one of our breakfasts in our suite on the porch and it was amazing. The hotel also gave us complementary snack and drinks to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. - [ ] The resort cleans the beach every morning which explains why it is hand down the best and cleanest beach we’ve been to in Mauritius. - [ ] They also had 2 live bands during our stay and they were amazing and so talented, and took some audience special requests as well which I thought was cool. - [ ] Areas of improvement: 1- the Spa and facilities closing time, which is way too early. 2- Many boats close to shore and obstructing the view, would be better to limit them to a specific area of the beach. 3- The app needs some enhancements. 4- we were gonna celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary in this hotel but had to have it in LUX Grand Gaube because there was no videography service, only photography, and they requested to see a copy of our wedding certificate, which we didn’t carry on us. 4- Upon arriving, we were greeted with an invite to a cocktail reception , and we only had about 20-30 minutes to catch it. This staff member (Shana), kept taking us through the app and facility details when I asked her over and over if we can still catch the cocktail reception. I then told her that I just came from another LUX hotel and am familiar with the app features, she got offended and kept giving me side looks and attitude throughout my stay whenever I saw her around. It made me uncomfortable, and I would’ve reported her behavior but I needed to enjoy my stay and celebrate my special occasion. - [ ] Aside from those minor issues, I cannot say enough great things about LUX Le Morne, it is by far my favorite resort! The views of the mountain overlooking the sea are breath-taking, and the sunset was so beautiful, will definitely come back! Guests of (114), June 2023.

Amazing hotel, the main hall is absolutely wonderful, with a marvellous view on the lagoon. Breakfast is fantastic with a large choice of pastries, fruits, breads, jams, eggs, sausages, as well as crepes, waffles, pain perdu etc.. Bedrooms are perfectly decorated with taste. A bit small tho. The beach front is perfectly maintained, sand is white and clean, water Cristal clear, probably the best beach we’ve visited in Maurice. Will definitely come back, thanks again for this amazing stay. Highly recommend to stay at the Lux Le Morne.

Stunning place with stunning views and unfortunately very bad service. After two weeks of activities, we decided to stay at Lux Le Morne for our last two nights. Positive: the hotel, the beach and the surroundings look STUNNING! The hotel itself, the pool, the gardens and the beach are well maintained and invite you to happily enjoy a relaxing day. The food options (we tried "The Kitchen" - main breakfast and dinner restaurant, and "The Beach" - Italian restaurant directly at the beach) were delicious. The staff at the buffet ("The Kitchen") was always friendly, helpful and very fast. We also we're upgraded to a very nice room directly at the seafront. Unfortunately, this does not by any means compensate for the following things: Negative: the service. The service at "The Kitchen" seemed a little uncoordinated but was still good and always extremely friendly. The service at the main bar ("The Bar") was absolutely bad. As we were asked to wait for our room to be prepared, so we headed to the bar to have a drink while waiting. (claimed check-in was 2pm, actual availability of the room was 15:0X which was not too big of a deal for us) We waited close to 30 minutes, no one showed up. As we passed by the bar on the way out, we got asked by the bartender whether we wanted something to drink. We sat down again and finally got served our (admittedly quite delicious) drinks. On the evening we came back to listen the live band. We placed the first order, got served quite quickly and were able to enjoy our drinks. After finishing the drink and being ignored for more than 35 minutes, we left. Beach service: non existent. On the first day, no one came after pushing the bell on the umbrella. We tried two umbrellas, just to exclude that ours was out of order. The second day: we chose a different sunbed. No one really showed up, so we stopped an employee who was heading back from taking an order at another sunbed. Our food arrived one hour after ordering, the drinks had to be ordered again. So getting two snacks and some drinks took ubelievable 75 minutes in total. The service quality is ABSOLUTELY not acceptable considering that we are in an 5* LUXury resort.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Location, beach, room and food were absolutely superb and we wanted for nothing. We paid for a treehouse dinner and cinema experience on our last night which was made extra special by William and his team with a couple of surprises! Thanks to all at Lux Le Morne for making it a trip to remember.

Hands down, best resort we have ever stayed in! Friendly and motivated staff, everything extremely clean and tidy and perfect beaches and pools!

This is a perfect getaway. Definitely the best hotel in the area. It's quite small, so no matter what room you choose, you will have everything close and an ocean view. Various activities keep you busy, but only if you want. I prefered lazy days, nevertheless I was first at the pool at 10 AM and had never problem with finding a free sunbed/beanbag. It's not eye-catching shining luxury. It is private paradise where everything happens behind your sight, so that you can just relax. Pros: privacy, everything is possible attitude, good food, plenty of spots for relax, included trips around the hotel, beautiful beach, the best service - everyone is super nice. They even remembered the birthday and wished all the best throughout the day. Cons: The Kitchen restaurant is too busy during lunch time. Limited staff resulted in long waiting times.
