I can't recommend this tour highly enough! Ted has been doing tours for 40 years and puts so much enthusiasm, energy and love into his tours. He constantly delivers funny stories and jokes alongside facts about Barbados whilst taking you to some of the most beautiful places on the island with incredible views. Get him booked without hesitation!!

We really enjoyed our day with Ted. It’s a long day and worth it. We learned some history of the island, it’s people, politics and the innovations that have kept the economy sustained (from sugar cane to tourism to rum and more). We saw how the people live beyond the city and tourist areas which was my favourite part. The views on the east side of the island were gorgeous and we would never have seen it if not for the tour. Ted is funny, very passionate about his home and full of terrific info. I highly recommend this tour.

We visited Barbados for the first time in November 2022. A friend recommended booking a tour of the island with Ted’s Tours and we were very happy we did. There was no better way to see the island with our tour guide Ted and his son Lee. Ted has been providing tours for 39 years and is incredibly informative of the island history and sites, which was made even better by his hilarious story telling and fun/friendly island personality. The day flew! We were also treated to complimentary drinks, including Barbados infamous rum punch, at various stops. Through this tour we learned that Lee has a snorkelling business and we booked a private outing to see the sea life and ship wrecks at Carlisle Bay. Lee was amazing and was very invested in ensuring that we saw interesting sea life. As a first-time snorkeller, Lee took extra time to ensure I was comfortable. Overall, both excursions were amazing experiences and would highly recommend taking advantage of both the bus tour and snorkelling. Can’t wait to return next year! Heather and John

We booked this as a couple, early into our first Barbados holiday at a cost of 180BBD each. Ted has been doing these tours for forty years so he's seen the many changes across the island over this time. He talks at 100mph, faster than he drives. Whether it's dad jokes (lots of these), history, recommdations of things to do /places to eat, Ted knows it all! The route took us North, predominantly following the West Coast through Bridgetown, Holetown before we had our first stop for lunch at Spieghstown. Ted gave a number of recommendations on eateries in the town and we visited each one. The Fishermans Pub for a proper Bajan lunch (around 70BBD including a beer for two), the bakery for some huge pastries (< 20BBD) and the grocers for some fresh lemonade. Suitabley fed and watered, back on the air-conditioned pub and we meandered our way across country, heading towards the east coast, stopping at Cherry Tree Hill for breathtaking views, fresh coconuts, a barter with some traders and our first drink from Ted's Bar! Back on the bus, heading past the Morgan Lewis Windmill down to Bathsheba for another break. All this time, Ted was talking the talk. We learnt so much about the island, the culture, the personalities, his life on the island. Bathsheba was the last stop for my wife and I as we had to be back at Carlisle Bay for the first of the Barbados Open Water Festival practice swims. Ted had very kindly arranged for one of his drivers to meet us and take us back to Bridgetown whilst our companions went further down the Atlantic coast and back to their accommodation via the south of the islander. Would I recommend? Yes. Ted is a top character, tour guide and overall nice person. I doubt you'll leave disappointed and without a smile on your face.

Highly recommended a tour around Barbados with Ted....one of life's characters. Make sure you do the tour at the beginning of your holiday. Ted will point out all the best locations to visit. Including all the best food and drink locations. 5 *

Ted's tour of the island is both entertaining and informative. We saw many parts of Barbados which we wouldn't have otherwise visited. Watch out for the free rum and Ted's other terrible punch lines! There were many I haven't heard for years. Overall an excellent day out. Thanks Ted.

Ted is a great tour guide! You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken on a great informative tour of Barbados and then dropped off after lunch, back where you were picked up!

This is a trip everyone who goes to Barbados should do. Ted is a font of knowledge, from being picked up at your hotel to getting dropped off you will get history, stories of his life and a rolling commentary of where to eat and go. It was a long day but you get to see almost all the island. Just one thing I would like to change is to have more comfortable seats. Apart from that Ted's Tour's are fantastic value and very entertaining.

His knowledge of Barbados first class. Ted & his family can be very proud of what he does. A true gentleman not many left in this world. Oh keep drinks flowing through out the trip lol. Thanks Lionel / England

Great tour of the island and Ted was just a wealth of information about the island and its people. Ted took the time to explain much of the history and I also found out that we have a mutual friend in Canada. I would highly recommend Ted and this tour. He also makes a great rum punch as well 😋.

Ted’s Tours & Lee’s Snorkeling Not much I can add to the glowing reviews for our new Friends Ted & Son Lee. Was a terrific full day out lots of stops for bio breaks and shopping and sipping and eating! Ted is a legend and rightfully so. His tour is wonderful - he is such a character and throughout the trip, made us feel like family. Very responsive to communications via Facebook. We were picked up and whisked away into Ted’s Island - so knowledgeable and learned more about Barbados in 5 hours than I could read online! An also big shout out to his Son Lee - made our tour extra special. We then booked a Saturday snorkeling ship wreck tour with Lee. Absolutely amazing - the crew on the boat were delightful; everyone took care of this old gal and even had an Uber water taxi from the wrecks to get me back to the boat. Highly recommend Ted’s Tours and Lee’s snorkeling adventure. Cannot wait to be back with them … oh and hopefully the tips got Ted a pair of shoes. He’s barefoot and not pregnant.

This is just a great, relaxed way to get a tour of Barbados. Ted is delightful, fun and not just knowledgeable about his beloved island; he is passionate about it and all it's citizens. His son Lee is a lovely, polite young man of 17 who gives surfing lessons and snorkeling adventures. I hired him to take me snorkeling the next day and he was attentive and took care of this senior lady. Take Ted's Tours, it's a must!

Ted and his son Lee are outstanding!!! My phone somehow switched time zones so I was in the shower when I was suppose to meet them. They phoned me and came all the way back to pick me up! I highly recommend his tours to everyone and will be back in the future to take another one again.

A true ambassador of his beloved country. If you miss out on Ted's tour you haven't experienced Barbados. His knowledge is delivered with passion and comedy. Top shelf tour Ted!

Ted's Tours was a laugh a minute from the moment we were collected. His continuous quick fire jokes kept the whole bus amused eventhough some were pretty bad. Ted's knowledge of the island is very comprehensive, as we cruised around the island stories and knowledge were imparted with consummate ease. Several convenience stopped were included through the day giving the opportunity for a liquid top up of your choice as long as it was Rum (soft drinks were also available). It was a pretty full bus but Ted was able to recall all passengers names which was very impressive and you were able to tell Ted loved what he was doing. Ted's son Lee was also on board acting as doorman, barman and the butt of some of Ted's jokes. All in all I would without hesitation recommend Ted's Tours for anyone coming to Barbados for the first time or even returning.

Ted's tours is an experience, depending on how you want to view it, other than scenery there is not a lot on the island to see, however Ted makes the tour , yes he does deliver you to various street vendors, these people are trying to make a living. His jokes are old even though he tells you it's brand new material it's all part of the experience. Ted is not a highly polished tour operator, what you see is what you get nothing is false , he is funny, genuine and loves his island and people. When he picked us up, I was not sure we had picked the right tour, but it quickly became a great day, to the point we booked Snorkeling with his son Lee for the next day. Which was magical.

Went on Ted's Tours yesterday, what a great day out with Ted and his son Lee. Ted's knowledge and love of Barbados (and rum) was amazing, it was a laugh from start to finish. Lee is a very polite young man who does snorkelling lessons as well and if we had more time we would have done that as well. Well worth a day out with these two lovely chaps. Thank you Ted and Lee. X

This guy, Ted, not only knows how to drive a bus, he knows how to make almost any rum-based drink on the go. His knowledge of what's what on the island is unparalleled as is his knowledge of Dad jokes. Great day out.

Great tour. Ted is as mad as a box of frogs, also a highly entertaining fountain of knowledge of everything Bajan. We had an island tour taking in all the major coastal towns with several all inclusive 'refreshment' stops and beautiful photo opportunities en route. Collection and drop off to your hotel. Highly recommended.

Since the early '80s, I've taken Ted's tour about 15 times. Obviously in my opinion, it is the best tour on the island. The tour starts from your hotel, and makes a West to North to East to South loop of the island of Barbados. Along the way barefoot Ted stops at all the island highlights, filling you with the knowledge and history that is Barbados. It's not your run-of-the-mill boring tour, it's full of comedy and antics. If you're in Barbados, be sure to tell him, "cousin Matthew sent yuh."

Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!! Ted is a very aggressive and an unprofessional person. We had booked our tour about 6 weeks in advance for our group of four. Once Ted showed up ten minutes late he informed us he had seating for 3 in one area of the bus and seating for the other in a separate area. After we saw how he had his patrons packed in the bus like sardines we opted out of doing the tour with Teds Tours. Once he realized we were not going to do the tour he magically found us 4 seats together. We were not comfortable being packed into an over crowded tour bus with the current COVID 19 health crisis. We went with a different vendor. When we stopped for lunch, Ted happened to notice us. When he saw us, he approached us in an aggressive manner. He began to verbally attack my parents (which are retired ministers). He was asked Ted to step back and walk away numerous times without any response. Finally, My husband had to step in and the situation escalated. My husband again asked him to walk away. Again he refused. The situation almost came to a physical altercation. He began telling my husband he would be buried on the island. As things became more intense his aggressiveness continued. Finally cooler heads prevailed. We choose to leave the lunch establishment and walked away. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS VENDOR!!!!!

I would recommend Ted's tours as a must if you visit Barbados. Ted accompanied by his son Lee make your tour memorable, their passion for all things Bejan shows in his description of places and people. Would definitely do this tour again if I ever come back to this beautiful island plus the rum was superb. Thanks for a brilliant day.
