A
lodge-like
look
and
feeling
for
a
few
extra
bucks
The
upside
of
The
Saint
Paul
Hotels
is
its
look,
without
a
doubt.
The
lodge-like
property
makes
you
feel
like
in
a
national
park,
where
it
would
certainly
not
be
out
of
tune.
The
interiors,
from
the
revolving
door
and
all
the
way
to
your
room,
are
warmly
and
cozily
furnished
and
lit,
with
timber
as
its
main
element.
I
have
no
doubt
The
Saint
Paul
Hotel
would
account
for
a
lovely
Winter
Wonderland
throughout
the
holiday
season.
Regarding
other
hospitality
rubrics,
The
Saint
Paul
Hotel
certainly
scores
high
across
the
board
with
still
room
for
improvement.
The
service
is
professional
and
courteous
but
not
top-notch
yet;
the
room,
as
cozy
and
lovely
as
it
was,
had
a
squeaky
bed
and
far-from-comfortable
pillows;
the
location,
though
right
in
front
of
the
main
square
park,
is
not
a
premium
feature
considering
the
size
of
Saint
Paul’s
downtown
and
other
hotels’
locations;
housekeeping
however,
was
probably
the
highlight,
with
the
friendliest
and
most
effective
service
I’ve
encountered
since
pandemic
times
and
with
no
new-era
policies,
such
as
per-request,
or
once-per-stay,
or
every-other-day-only
servicing;
the
bar
and
restaurant
scene,
which
are
indeed
sophisticated,
felt
a
bit
unwelcoming
for
wheelchairs
with
practically
no
low-tables
at
the
St.
Paul
Grill’s
bar;
finally,
with
so
much
time
in
our
hands
after
exploring
nearby
streets
and
parks
during
labor
day
weekend,
the
hotel
left
us
wishing
for
a
pool
or
a
spa,
which
would
have
taken
a
lovely
stay
to
the
next
level.
Overall,
the
3-night
stay
at
The
Saint
Paul
hotel
felt
like
a
true
outdoorsy
vacation.
The
property
transported
us
to
whatever
national
park,
relaxed
us,
and
had
us
wishing
for
spending
a
Christmas
holiday
season
at
the
property.
Probably
that
will
be
the
main
reason
for
coming
back
to
this
hotel
again,
it
would
certainly
be
lovely!!!
