Perhaps I did not order the right type of food here but my first experience is merely okay in terms of food. The service is great and I had a very attentive and patient server. The location and space are also suitable for friendly conversations. Pretty much everything about the place is great. Just the food taste doesn't do it for me. This rating is in fact a 3.5 but I have chosen 3 because I do not think I can bring it up to a 4, unfortunately. The French baguette was good with butter but the bread itself was old and hard. I had an Ivorian friend with me who was a French cuisine connoisseur and she recognized the same issue. Then the gnocchi, which had flavor that I did not expect. It wasn't too creamy or rich, which was great. I think there might have been too much of the sun-dried tomatoes flavor but the sour taste from it was pretty strong. Maybe it is because sun-dried tomatoes are concentrated in terms of that flavor. The manicotti felt like it could be made in other more casual settings. The spinach basil cream felt a bit like artichoke dip, and the ricotta felt like it was not really prepared prior to putting them into the pasta. The bread was good despite not tasting fresh (kind of soggy). The rosemary honey panna cotta was amazing! Have a spoon of a bit of the panna cotta with the honey was truly a great experience. The flourless chocolate torte was great as well, especially since it was flourless it would tasted like it was missing something. But that was okay because the expectation was already there. I saw that some of their meat dishes are more popular, so if I decide to visit again, then I may give those a shot instead! But overall if people happen to be around the area, then I will still recommend them.

Ended up here on a whim and staff was able to accommodate us without a reservation. Decor was welcoming and incredibly well curated, along with a food and cocktail menu that was interesting and delicious. Would be great for anything from a small group of friends night out or a date night.

Service was very good and friendly, and the atmosphere is nice and quirky. The food was decentish, but not worth the high prices. I had the jerk chicken entree and the chicken itself tasted very good but it was a mess to eat gracefully, piled as it was upon the accompanying dishes which made it difficult to use a fork and knife to separate the meat from the bone. The cream-cheese-and-scallion cake underneath the chicken was excellent, and the highlight of the meal. The red bean puree was a nice neutral accompaniment. The plantain was tougher than leather though, and rather tasteless. I ordered their house made lime soda. It wasn't good. It was so intensely strong I almost wonder if they forgot to dilute their syrup concotion. Thoroughly unpleasant. My wife had the salmon, and she seemed pleased by its moisture given that it was well-cooked, something she doesn't find in salmon everywhere. That said, she was very underwhelmed with the arugula-and-something soupy glop underneath the salmon. We ordered what was described to us as angelfood cake with mascerated strawberries and house made whipped cream. What we actually received was a small pound cake which was so tough and dry we had to saw through it with a knife. The strawberries were OK, though not as flavorful as I'd have expected. So overall it was an OK meal, with some highlights, and quite a few things that should have been much better. At half the price I would only be mildly disappointed and probably not visit Northeast Social again, but wouldn't go out of my way to avoid it. At what the actual price was, however, if again invited to visit I'd very much encourage my dinner party toward other options.

Good food, friendly staff, and convenient to the Ritz Theatre! The menu is limited but well done. Vegetarian-friendly, but focused mostly on meat.

I realize it’s a small place and the servers need to turn the tables, but our server didn’t come back after he delivered our food and when he did, he told us we needed to leave because another group was waiting for our table. He could have asked us if we wanted dessert or drinks, or even directed us to the bar, but he basically said, get out. I won’t ever go back there.

They have good food...a fun place, small inside, but a lovely neighborhood bistro. We stopped before a theater performance at the Ritz and although drinks and food came after a long wait, we didn't mind as we had plenty of time before the show. Very small menu, but the bar looked stocked and the tables filled up quickly. Reservations are recommended. If you want a quiet place, this is not it. The noise level was extremely high and it made it very difficult to carry on a conversation.

Oh my! Can’t believe I haven’t been here before. Food was fabulous, ambiance was delightful. I grew up on the area in the ‘70s, fun to see it come back to life.

Wonderful brunch spot, so charming and the artworks are incredible!! We had the soup of the day (cream of mushroom), the corned beef and the classic breakfast with sausage, mimosas and coffee. The corned beef was a little difficult to cut as it wasn't as tender as it looked, however it was tasty! The soup of the day was extremely delicious, it had a kick to it (spicy) which was a pleasant surprise. The eggs were sunny side up and made to perfection!! Friendly staff, very attentive and welcoming. Parking there is mostly street parking around the block.

Visiting family in the area and my nephew recommended that we try one of his favorite places…and it was fantastic! The staff (Remy & Sarah) were awesome with suggestions and service. The carpaccio was outstanding and the crafted cocktails were almost too good. Our house made pasta entrees and the seared duck exceeded my expectation, although I should have expected it after devouring the carpaccio. While the menu selection is limited I’m confident that everything is executed at a high level based on what we had and what I noticed being delivered and devoured by other happy diners. Lucky for me, we have another week here and I’ll definitely be back for The Tony Bologna sandwich before I head home.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. We stopped by before a show at Theater Latte Da. I enjoyed an old fashioned and pulled pork sandwich. Our server, Chase, was friendly and attentive. Good stuff!

Visited for New Years Eve dinner. I ordered the short ribs which didn’t have a lot of flavor and were not “fall apart” tender, hence the rating. My wife had the butternut squash manicotti which was delicious according to her, the green basil sauce was also really good.

Having ordered two of the pasta dishes, my presumption is they’re formulated with an intentional aversion to anything resembling flavor. Simply another iteration of the $20-$30 meal being merely an inoffensive opportunity to go out amongst your socioeconomic class and be convinced by the environment the food you’re consuming is worth the price. It’s not.

Stopped in for some apps and drinks, snagged two seats at the bar. Mussels and olives were delicious, cocktails were boozy but balanced! Service wasn't bad, but was extremely slow - bartender wasn't attentive at all.

We were walking around NE on a Friday evening in search of food and stopped in to Northeast Social. The restaurant is beautiful! It was about half full at 9pm and we were seated right away. We had the duck and the chocolate torte and both were amazing! Loved the atmosphere and our server was awesome. Glad we stopped in.

Top 3 cheeseburgers my husband and I have had! Everything from the cheese plate app to wine to dinner was fantastic. The ambiance is eclectic, staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are comparable to slightly cheaper than expected for the area. Will be back for sure!

We arrived for a show at the Ritz a bit early and stopped in to Northeast Social for a cocktail. The bartender was engaging and knew the drinks well. It was a nice start to our evening.

The food is fantastic. The pasta is some of the best in the city. The vibes are lovely and cozy. The service we had was pretty awful. We had 6pm reservations before a 7:30 show at latte da. Was at the host stand at exactly 6 and was seated promptly. I was ahead of my party who parked the car and followed in two minutes after me. They couldn’t even get through because the door was jammed up with other seemingly 6pm reservations before the show. People finally cleared out and we’re seated so my family could join me. They sat at 6:04 after waiting two minutes outside to get in. Our server was pulling double duty at host though hardly anyone walked in past 6:15pm. We sat at our table until 6:20 without a server greeting us. This is baffling to me. I’m a server myself and if I’m swamped, I always greet a new table with “be right with you”. We were totally ignored. We had to flag down a server so get our order in. Ordered everything at once. Our food was all delicious, everyone loved it. I was done with my meal by the time the server asked how everything was. It’s a basic server rule to always check in with a table within two minutes at food delivery. We never got the baguette we ordered as an appetizer so it was brought after we were done with our meal. Not sure if they charged us. Mind you, this restaurant is small. Each server maybe had 6-8 tables or so and maybe of them are two seaters. That’s not a lot. I can juggle 12 tables without issue and I’m not even that great a server. The service is simply not good enough. If you’re seeing a show next door, give yourself two hours to eat here to accommodate the slow service. I think our food took about 20-25 minutes to come out which isn’t bad.

Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free. I had the market fish, which was salmon and risotto. It was good, but not too exciting…Especially for the price. The decor is awesome! Our server, Chase, was very accommodating for my gluten free allergy, checking on multiple dishes with the back of house to make sure they were safe. Overall, fun place, good food, great service.

This was a phenomenal meal. The flatbread and the 1/2 Chicken was SO flavorful and insanely good. Great service and cocktails.

Great atmosphere and service! The burgers looked amazing, I ordered a delicious pasta dish - scallops linguine, super fresh, but I'm going back to try one of their burgers 😛

Absolutely amazing, starting with the Potato Cavatelli Cacio e Pepe, it was warm and bright from the artichoke yet rich and soothing with the soft boiled egg, then ending with the Rosemary Honey Panna Cotta, easily the best dessert I've had in a long time. It was smooth like dog with a perfect hint of rosemary complimented by the sweetness of the honey. Not too big, but perfect in it's size to flavor ratio. I would say this is one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The service is wonderful, Declan was kind and very well versed in the specials and other menu items. I hope to come back soon to try their shrimp Po boy sandwich and other great cocktails. Great atmosphere, decorations, food and people. Make your reservations now!!!
