I think the 1 star reviews on this place aren’t very reasonable reviews. Sure, it is a remodeled older place, but you have to go in expecting just that. The cons first; The hot water doesn’t work very well in the showers, the AC didn’t get very cold at night, the “resort fee” is definitely over priced for what you get, and being understaffed is a problematic for getting checked in on time. Check in time was 4pm and we didn’t get a room until 440pm, which caused us to miss one of the bands we wanted to see at Reggae Rise Up. It was spring break and we were not expecting St. Pete to be flooded with spring breakers. A lot of noisy young college students as neighbors waking us at early am hours. So if you’re looking to get some peace and quiet I wouldn’t recommend coming here during spring break. Pros; they waived the first night resort fee for the late check in and gave us two free drink vouchers, which we later traded for breakfast vouchers and the breakfast buffet is pretty good. The man who helps park the cars was very patient and helpful making sure I got a spot to park my truck with the boat on the trailer, both nights. The lobby, court yard, bar area and beach are very nice. I read reviews about the beds being uncomfortable but ours was comfy. Other than that, we spent most of our time away from the resort on the boat and at the concert. It was mostly a good stay and I’m giving it 5 stars for the pros mentioned, while most of the cons are understandable.

The bathroom had dirty cue tips and tub wasn’t cleaned properly, otherwise the room was just old, bed was very squeaky, but decently comfortable. No microwave, no table to eat at, eating in the bed was the option for relaxing and snacking. The amenities were nice, pool area was great, kids portion was closed and elevators were out the entire time. They allowed people to stay past check out times and with new guests arriving and not being able to check in, made parking terrible on the weekends! At one point, we couldn’t find a place to park, went to the front desk to find out what was going on when all of that was explained and then was said nothing could be done. Needless say, absolute poor decisions being made by management. Plus they allow people to pay off the street to use the parking lot for beach access. Just things to he annoying that made us try to find the good! Pool staff was excellent! Beach access is perfect! But unfortunately we will never return to this spot. Paid too much money for the hassle to be overlooked entirely. Will definitely stay somewhere else to access all of the awesome things that surround this place.

Came here for one night before a work trip in Tampa. This place is mostly location. Directly on the beach, amazing sunsets. Otherwise the hotel its self is decorated cute but nothing fancy. The rooms are basic my room even had a broken tub. The crowd is very young here which nothing wrong with that but more of a party vibe. I would have liked the stay more if the room didn’t feel a little run down. I should have taken pictures of the room but did not. This is more of a crashpad vs. hotel.

This is honestly a roach motel. My friend had to kill the largest cockroach I have ever seen in his room. Although check in was at 4pm we had to wait until almost 7pm because the rooms weren't ready. I'm not sure what was taking so long to clean them because they didn't look very clean to me. Towels has brown stains on them, and the bathtub and sink were dirty. The room was never cleaned in the 5 nights we were there. We had to ask for new towels and toilet paper and forget about a change of sheets. There were huge bins of dirty sheets in the parking lot, so attractive. The shower pressure was awful, it felt like someone was sprinkling water from a watering can over you, which prolonged the miserable experience of a shower that went from scalding hot to freezing cold over and over again. The loud club music started early in the morning and continued until late at night, so much for relaxing. The guy passed out in the bushes in the parking lot and random people banging on your door was fantastic. And now there is a random charge on my credit card that I didn't use, so that should be fun to dispute. The only positive thing I can say is the beach is nice and the sunsets were beautiful, but this motel is not worth the price of the room.

Our recent stay at the Postcard Inn was excellent. This hotel has a very laid back, island feel to it, very comfortable. It has a very chill atmosphere with some surfer vibes! It is very unique, nothing like you would find anywhere else. If you’re looking for fancy high class resort , look else where because this hotel gives more of a “beach house” vibe, rather than luxury, which I love!! They have music throughout the hotel to really set the positive mood that makes you want to jump in their heated pool! We enjoyed a morning breakfast which we got with our breakfast package, which the food and coffee was delicious. One of the last nights we stayed there, we had some great chicken wings and a couple drinks at their beach bar which was an awesome time. They are understaffed right now, which is everywhere, so you just have to have some patience and be on “island time”, not in a rush. To top it off, the staff was great. Can’t wait to go back and bring all of my family with to join my fiancé and I for our wedding!

This inn has great potential. Nice rooms, a fun court yard. The downside we experienced was the lack of towels at the pool each day, the lack of hot water to shower and the beach chairs that came with the "resort fee" were denied to us as 350pm because the kid working them told us they closed at 5pm but we were welcome to use any that were out on the beach when the occupants left. I guess we should have pushed back because he brought out chairs for other guests about 40 min later..

Pros - Staff was great. Breakfast was great. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. Beach access was amazing. Quiet during the week days. Watch out for the $300 incidental hold plus the resort charge equaling almost $500. But you do get the $300 back. Cons - Do not go on a holiday weekend or weekend. All the party kids show up and trash the place as well as the beach. Saturday of memorial day it was a skin/slosh fest on the beach as well as at the hotel. My wife and I found ourselves a prisoner to our room. At night we could hear people yelling and screaming, drunk, conversations outside our door, the rooms next to us on both sides, above us as well. Weekends this is a party hotel. We saw unthinkable things on the beach. People drunk and wearing barely any clothing in some cases that wasn't even enough to cover up. At times felt like a nude beach if not more than that. If you are parents do not bring you kids to this resort. The beach was a disaster filled with garbage from the day (Saturday) before. I felt horrible for the staff having to clean up after them. My understanding is that this is a normal thing. Weekends are not family friendly. This tainted our stay and next year we will be looking at other options.

Booked a family trip through apple vacations. I have received confirmation. Take a flight arrive to check in. Only to be told by Jose once we arrive that they canceled our stay! What? No notice, no regard for anything. Jose was rude and unapologetic, said sorry not his fault or problem! I just traveled from Cincinnati to Florida with two children and now do not have a place stay. Update: Staff changes and the lady working night shift was so much more helpful- she gave us answers and assistance. She was so professional definitely made the difference with this monstrosity of trip. Update: we had to sleep in our car that night until something opened up at another resort. Everything was booked! Can you imagine- taking your kids on vacation, show up to the resort and being told sorry we canceled your stay and you have no place to go. Not being able to find somewhere to sleep and telling your kids sorry guys we gotta sleep in our rental car!!! When actually they didn't let anyone know the stay was canceled! Post card is supposed to give us a refund for the booked stay which we will see (that's right they still had our money) however having to sleep in the car with no assistance from this place to make it better to try and accommodate us. They could have offered to help us find somewhere else. Call places anything really. Shoot they didn't even offer us to hang on couch or water. Nothing! Never in my life have I ever experienced such total lack of professionalism or business experience!! This was our first time ever traveling to st. Pete and it was a terrible first impression!

The location on the beach is awesome. However, the view of the parking lot wasn't great. The staff are very friendly. The pool is big and awesome. -Hotel is in need of TLC.New ownership took over right before our stay and it caused some issues. The boiler was out so no hot water the first 2 days we were there. Rooms were not cleaned or restocked our entire stay. No one ever answered the front desk phone or the housekeeping phone. I recommend spending your money elsewhere. .

You have to book this hotel knowing what you are getting. It is NOT fancy or upscale. The location is what is amazing! It is a small property on the gorgeous St. Petes beach. The pool is perfect for kids, although it can get pretty busy. We stayed in a pool side room and it was perfect. I loved the wood floors (for the sand) and I loved the location. Right next to the pool and just a quick walk to the beach. The lobby was cool with chess, checkers, pool table, books and fresh cookies every afternoon. I would stay here again!

The absolute best part of our entire vacation was at the pool here. We were a group of moms traveling with our 13 year old sons. Samantha our pool waitress was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. (Best customer service ever). Jeremy, the director of activities was so accommodating and wonderful. There were lawn games and a pool. Simply the best day ever!!

If you are in your 20s and looking for a place to party like it's MTV spring break, this I the place for you. Anyone else looking to relax, or bringing the family, or even celebrating their wedding, go somewhere else. 1st I would like to say it took me a long time to write a review. My husband and I got married there 2021 and it was so bad I tried to forget it. Hopefully there are new people now to make the experience better, but for us it was a nightmare. The list starts with them setting up the tables late, giving us little time to decorate. My husband and I weren't able to get any apps because the bartender was eating them all. There was no employee there other than the bartender, so anytime there was an issue there was nobody to talk to. Head table got their salads after everyone, and a few people didn't even get food. We had to do our cake cutting with a napkin because there were no plates for the dessert table we ordered and again nobody there who we could ask to get us plates. As someone who works in the catering/event industry, I was appalled and embarrassed. That wasn't even all of it. Apparently when the guests were arriving to the tiki hut, the bar right next to it had a girl OD and the ambulance had to come. I know that's on the girl, and not the place, but it could happen any day because that's the crowd and environment they try to promote. Like I said MTV spring break. So the next day all I wanted to do was have a drink by the pool and unwind from the stress and months of planning a distant wedding. Well I couldn't even do that because every Sunday there is an event open for everyone outside the hotel guests and the place was packed with another party. ALL. DAY. We had to leave our hotel to find some quiet down the road. With all that being said I will say the food was amazing. For those of us who got food. If I could just rate their chef/ kitchen staff I would give them 5 stars. Some of the best food I've ever had. They deserve better. Also, I thought the rooms were cute. I have no complaints about the hotel staff or anything like that. Just would never ever recommend having a wedding here! It was so embarrassing.

Always have a great time when I go here. The rooms I have stayed in are double queen beds. The sheets are usually fresh and clean. There is a mini fridge and a nice wide screen tv and bottles of water waiting for you. The bathrooms are stocked with towels, wash cloths and bathtub/shower has shampoo/Conditioner/Body-Wash dispensers. The Beach Bar is always great on the weekends I've gone. They also have a really good sit down breakfast available in the main lobby. Also it's not too far of a drive from the downtown bars which are also worth visiting Saint Pete for a fun-filled weekend nightlife Overall I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a fun weekend filled with getting some sun and socializing with all the guests at the Beach bar.

We recently stayed at the Postcard Inn and it had its pros and cons. Check in is at 4pm. We were there around 1 and provided our wrist bands and parking pass. We kept checking in to see if it was possible our room would be ready before 4… our room wasn’t ready until 5:30pm and it was all downhill from there. Cons: Let’s start with the bed in room Room 243. It has a very stained and disgusting mattress cover, along with a dirty comforter. We notified staff the first night and just asked for two flat sheets to put on top so we could use that as a second sheet and one as a blanket. The next day housekeeping came in and remade the bed with the same dirty comforter and didn’t change the mattress protector. When we asked staff at the front desk on Thursday and showed the photo, she said the housekeeper wouldn’t be able to understand her because they’re Spanish and just offered to change us to another room (even though I spoke Spanish and offered to translate) This room also had dirty towels that were stained, along with a very dirty and stained shower curtain as well. The tub also drained very slow so you were standing in a lot of water during your shower. Onto Room 140: This room was a lot cleaner however, the air conditioner doesn’t work. I notified staff around 830pm-9:00pm that it wasn’t working and was told it doesn’t go any lower than 70 so to set it at that, keep the door closed and it’ll work. The woman at the front desk offered us a box fan so when I said yes, she went back to get one and said “oh I lied, we don’t have any. Just keep it set at 70 and keep the door closed it’ll kick on and go down.” I reiterated that if I set it to 70 it’ll definitely turn on because it hadn’t yet and she said yes. At 11:00pm the thermostat was at the same temperature and hadn’t moved even one degree. I called the front desk and asked if they had a box fan yet and explained what the prior staff member said. They just brought the fan and didn’t offer to check the AC or thermostat out. When we checked out, we reminded staff about the broken AC and the mattress protector needing to be changed and they just brushed us off like it was no big deal. Pros: Lots of activities to do like ping pong, checkers, chess, connect four, and a ripped old pool table that still works. The drinks were good and it’s right on the beach. However you only get a chair with your wristband and you have to pay for everything else on the beach (umbrellas, cabanas, long lay out beach chairs.)

We stayed at the Postcard Inn for the first time. The welcome was very friendly and warm. We immediately felt comfortable. We had a nice room with a pool/garden view on the upper floor. You can even see the sea very well from here. The employees were all friendly and helpful. Everything was made possible to give us a pleasant stay. We will be back definitely.

I have stayed here twice. The first time was when I was in my twenties. I came for a girls trip and it was a blast. We came on the weekend and it was definitely a party scene. I loved the serf theme and the lobby was so hip and cool. This was about five years ago. Back then I didn’t noticed the despair of the rooms or the fact that they played music loudly 24/7. I’ll blame it on being young and naive. Fast forward to today. Thankfully I knew what to expect with the party scene so we went ahead and booked on the weekday. The price was pretty good. It was an awesome time and perfect for the kids to join. However the rooms are in desperate need of renovations. My bath tub felt like a waterbed and the bathroom floor was literally squishy. You can see grime that is beyond cleaning in the corners of the rooms and bathroom. The service was wonderful and everyone that works here is very accommodating and kind. For the price it was worth it. The location of the beach is amazing and the pool is big and clean! The kids loved it. Overall I do recommend this place. Keep in mind this though- DON’T bring kids on the weekend. Probably not the best for a business trips either. If you’re trying to relax I would only book on the weekdays. If you’re trying to party- book on weekends.

Postcard Inn on the Beach is truly a hidden gem on the beautiful beaches of St. Pete Beach! We’ve been fortunate to share this hotel with many friends and family from Indiana over the past few months and can’t wait to return! From the moment you enter the retro “good vibe” lobby, you will see so many activities and a wall full of books! Once inside, you will be immediately transported into a world where customer service is the #1 priority! I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years and have never been greeted so warmly!! At the front desk, Aaron and Steven will get you checked in and ensure every part of your stay is perfect! Interestingly, I’ve never even considered that someone would regularly greet me by name when I enter the lobby… but every single time, Aaron would say, “How is your day, Kari?” I didn’t even know that was a “thing”! Behind the bar you will find the most amazing bartenders on the gulf coast. Solomon, Larry, Jenna and many others really take the time to get to know their patrons. Whether you visit once a year or once a month, they remember you and treat you like family! I would also be remiss not to mention Peter, Dave (pool), Brandon , Nick, Lewis and so many others for taking the time to get to know us. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. There is significant counter space and plenty of outlets available to charge all your electronics. In the center of the resort, you will find a large heated pool with plenty of seating. The ambiance and entertainment were perfectly suited depending on the activity and/or time of day. The weather was a little cooler while we were there, so our adult kids visited the lobby where they could play checkers, chess, jenga, ping pong and try their hand at curling. There’s so much to see and do, that you really don’t even need to leave the resort! Thank you again Postcard Inn for helping our family to create some beautiful new memories to last a lifetime.

Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a hotel. They compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rooms much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I've been staying here for years. If you stay for a few days you definitely will love it I'm sure! The absolute best part of our entire vacation was at the pool here. We were a group of moms traveling with our 13 year old sons. Great way too see/be on St Pete beach Hotel is pretty nice, rooms are beach themed. The hotel is old and updates have been done but are not great. So if you're looking for a place to sleep and then spend the rest of the time out and about it's fine. They have volleyball tournament's here bringing in lots of people, as well as other activities. People young and old alike staying here enjoying the pool and bar, which I felt was $$$$, but plenty of other restaurants around to choose from. This isn't a high end resort by any means but it is a place you can find and have fun at. Again the beach here is awesome like nothing I've been to before.

Spent some quality time with my daughter for the weekend and this hotel is a little gem. The beach bar, music, volleyball nets and of course the comfy couches to watch the sunset. We had a fantastic time and this scene reminded us of old times. Alot of people watching and entertainment. Also enjoyed walking the beach to the other beach bars near by. Definitely recommend if you like a night life.

This place was okay. I booked because it seemed clean and put together online. It was cute, but very disorganized. My main priority in hotels is cleanliness, so I was disappointed with the cleanliness of this place. The shower had mold and lime buildup. The bathroom door had dust and grime all over it, and rust on the hinges. The floors were kinda gross, and cold tile throughout the room. The AC was set very cold, but we couldn't control it in our room so we were freezing. The comforter had a blood stain that had clearly been there for awhile. It was a fine stay, and comfortable bed, but I would not stay again.

I visited postcard inn around the end of February. The place gives off a "cool surfer dude" vibe. My partner and I had a wonderful time! The rooms are small but tidy. It is an older place, and there is some wear that comes with a being located directly on the beach but the water pressure in the shower was incredible!! All of the staff are very kind and helpful. There were ping pong tables on a patio and a bar inside with a nice brunch style menu. As you walk towards the rear of the hotel, there is a pool, and then a small beach bar right before you walk out onto a beautiful beach. There are many beach volleyball courts as well! They have chairs and cabanas available to rent but I would advise getting there early in the morning for those. Most evenings there was a DJ performing at the beach bar. All in all, it was a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an upbeat vacation. 🏝

Check in informed of a $50 resort fee, told that covers two beach chairs and an umbrella, get out to beach and $20 charge. Bar drinks $15 a drink, no live music or entertainment. Pool is large but chairs, umbrellas, tables worn out and the reserved cushioned chairs looked disappointing and should not have a charge when we already pay a resort fee. Had to wear an uncomfortable wristband making us look like a tourist. If you want to require wristbands then they should be a comfortable bracelet that also works as a room key. I did like that you had floaties to use and the beach was fantastic. Beach volleyball would be fun to play but I did not bring a ball. Rooms were mediocre not aesthetically appeasing wood looking floors, fridge was yellow, no water pressure in the shower, sink did not drain, shampoo and soap holders broken, and bed felt like it was full of sand. Front desk person who checked us in was friendly. We ended up going to neighboring resorts for entertainment. It would be nice if there was something in rooms stating what resort had to offer for example if you want ice you need to go to bar to get it, there are no ice machines. Green space in middle was good idea but nothing going on in areas. By the two story building could use some trees and several speakers not working. Fence around pool looked like a temporary one that was never had a permanent one out in place. Main building looks like carpet ripped out and just left could do a nice concrete detail job marbling look or something. No air conditioning in this area either so was a bit warm. Positives- the beach and great beach to walk/run/play on. The location could walk to entertainment. There is a bar outside and inside and they serve food. Small old school motel feel just need updates.

unfortunately, I was disappointed. The room was for kids and I'm 60. It was filthy. The shower wouldn't drain properly. After my shower I walked to the bed and my just washed feet were filthy by the walk to bed. I left 39 minutes after 11 am and was charged a $25 late fee. I would NOT recommend this place.

Recently stayed at this beach resort. Check in was delayed and room wasn’t ready till well after the 4 p.m. Check-In time. After securing the room, the A/C didn’t work and wasn’t able to be fixed by the service technician. A box fan was provided upon request but still room was hot. Furthermore, multiple lights were burned out and not replaced and water pressure in the bathroom was pathetic. Additionally, follow up from management didn’t occur for approximately 48 hours and less than 24 hours prior to departing. Location is beautiful and tikki bar and breakfast staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, front desk staff, management, and service technicians didn’t seem to communicate or care.

The property is gorgeous and well manicured with definitely more of a spring break feel for the vibes. DJ and live music at the beach bar was a nice touch! Had a bit of a service issue which was addressed and handled nicely by the managers. The beach is phenomenal, the rooms a bit small, the majority of the staff kind.

  • 5/5 Sabrina C. 2 years ago on Google
Loved my stay here. It has an old surf beach vibe. The Tiki bar and lunch spot gets a little crowded on the weekend, as anyone can access it from the beach, but once you go towards the pool area closer to the rooms it's fine. I have read where they were recently purchased by a larger company, so I hope the new owners don't change too much. Don't want it yo loose the 60s/70s beach vibe. I would definitely return!

This was our first visit to the Postcard Inn! The first thing I will say is that the amenities here are FIVE STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They have a large salt water pool with plenty of seating and ice water for you to sip on under the toasty Florida sunshine. There is also a large courtyard with ping pong, connect four, and other games. There is no lack of seating outside. Lots of comfortable loungers! The Inn offers complimentary bike rentals, and beach chairs for the ocean which is STEPS away. The property is easy to navigate and incredibly family friendly! There is also a gym! During our stay the computer system was down and caused a lot of chaos for the check in process. Our room was decorated with fun surfer vibes but it definitely had some deferred maintenance. The bed was comfortable but I didn’t really want to use the shower…I would rate the rooms three stars. I would definitely stay here again! What sealed the deal with this motel is that you can stay on the property and utilize the amenities BOTH before and after check in/check out! We checked out at 11:00am this morning but stayed on the property for beach access and pool time until sunset! You can’t beat that! Thank you for the hospitality Postcard Inn!

beautiful and fun. there is a courtyard area with games (ex. beanbag toss, giant connect four) and trees (provided shade without too many bugs, like we literally only saw two), a nice cafe inside, and lots of food around. the pool looks out onto the beach, and the beach is very nice and clean as well. the rooms were alright, especially for the cost and being right on the beach. the only issue we had was the the bottom of the tub/shower was wobbly. you can also access the beach at night which is nice both to avoid a crowd and because most beaches close at sunset. the hotel is also pet friendly, and we brought our dog.

Nestled along the stunning Gulf of Mexico, this hotel boasts an exceptional location that sets the stage for an unforgettable getaway. The service is truly top-notch, with staff members going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The amenities provided add an extra layer of luxury, making it a perfect retreat for both relaxation and recreation. My teenager son and I enjoyed every moment of our stay, from the well-appointed rooms to the pristine pool area. Considering the unbeatable value for the price, I'm already looking forward to returning for another vacation.
