This remains a functional church, also with a second floor (no tourist access) meaning the interior is less grandiose and relatively small, however no less ornate than other churches you may visit. Worth a visit of you have some extra time, the most beautiful views are from the exterior with the baby blue facade.

Worth visiting 30 minutes on the bus from Peterhof. 1km. slow walk from ิus stop. You may be could not find any better than with exception for St.Isaac Cathedral. Without admission fee. you can feel even better. You can sense feeling of greatness of the place and sense of local on the same time. It was considered on the best in St. Petersburg

Beautiful church. It offers to buy candles and other souvenirs from this church. It is close to parks and the harbor. Definitely worth a visit. Dress modest when visiting. Best is to bring a shawl for ladies, because they require the head to be covered. They provide shawls in case you do not have one. No restroom inside, but there are restrooms closeby, you have to pay though.

The Russian Orthodox Church reinstalled the cross on the main dome in 2002 and (for the first time since 1929) served the Divine Liturgy in the cathedral in 2005. In 2013, the Patriarch of Russia, with Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev and his spouse attending, conducted the ceremony of grand reconsecration in the now fully restored cathedral.

One of the most magical places and the most beautiful Cathedral. Very interesting excursions, especially to the top under the main dome on the colonnade. You can enjoy an amazing view from the bird's eye.

Definitely worth visiting if you're on travel trip in Kronstadt. It has 3 levels and you can get on every of these levels. I recommend visiting the top level, it is located under the dome and you can observe whole city from there.

The cathedral was closed in 1929, was converted to a cinema, a House of Officers (1939) and a museum of the Navy (1980). This place is very beautiful on the Kronstadt island.interior is very different from other churches in Russia . There is a submarine kept inside the cathedral as this place is dedicated to navy and St Petersburg is the naval headquarters of Russia.Not to be missed !
