Good afternoon I am 32 years old and have been stuttering since childhood. The stuttering was of moderate severity, which means, at least for me personally, that in my personal life it did not interfere with me much (or I learned to live with it and accept it), but as for work issues, it was a specific problem. As a result, a good friend recommended this course to me, and after six months of hesitation and reflection on this topic, I took the course at Tatyana Solovyova’s speech rehabilitation center and would like to share my thoughts and results. The course lasts about 2 weeks (very intensive) and is conceptually divided into 2 parts - psychotherapy and speech therapy. It’s difficult to say which of the two sides of this process impressed me more, but it definitely did. I would like to concentrate on speech therapy, since psychotherapy is a very personal aspect and everyone will evaluate it differently, but I would recommend being prepared to be honest with yourself. At speech therapy you will be given a speech technique, with the correct and constant use of which you will receive a tool for constructing correct and fluent speech. Naturally, completing the course is only the beginning of constant work on yourself. But the result is promised after completing the course. My achievements at the end of the course. The result is impressive, to say the least. Gained the opportunity to realize fluent speech. The situation is internally emotional (I repeat, those who know will understand). I understand that there is still a lot of work ahead, but I internally experienced a strong emotional upsurge and hope that I could finally overcome stuttering or at least learn to completely control it. In December 2018, I took a course at the Tatyana Solovyova Speech Rehabilitation Center. 2 months have passed since finishing the course, and I can confidently say that my life has changed dramatically. What I previously considered hopelessness and some kind of punishment cannot now influence my life. I myself control the conversation process, my pace of speech and enjoy it. I fell in love with my voice, which I couldn’t hear on record before. The course had many discoveries for me that turned my inner world upside down, I was able to look at myself from the outside. It turned out that I have a huge amount of resources that I didn’t even know about. A tremendous amount of work has been done with incredible specialists and professionals in their field - Olga Yuryevna and Svetlana Yuryevna. I am eternally grateful to you! We went to this course (01/31/22 - 02/11/22) without a doubt, with a light heart and confidence in success, since 2 years ago we took the same course with our eldest daughter (now she speaks absolutely clearly!). Of course, we hoped that the youngest would not develop a stutter, but we kept a watchful eye on her speech. When the first hesitations appeared, we already knew what it was. And most importantly, how to deal with this, did not waste time and came straight to our Larisa Vitalievna and Natalya Mikhailovna. This time we went headlong into psychotherapy, remembering that the key to stable speech is the absence of anxiety in the family (and there was something to discuss!), and since stuttering was infrequent, speech therapy classes faded into the background. But the speech therapist “caught” us making a mistake, did not let us skip half the course and immersed us in speech, explaining that both components of the course are equivalent, equally important and we should not skip either one. Our family is very grateful to the specialists who worked with us, who approached the solution of the problem with soul - family issues have been resolved, the child is already speaking more calmly, according to his speech technique. After reading the information and reviews, I signed up for a consultation. I was determined to take the course. I took a course at the speech rehabilitation center from 04/15/2019 - 04/27/2019. Throughout the course, specialists such as a speech therapist and a psychotherapist worked with the group. The psychotherapist helped me find the cause of my stuttering. The speech therapist taught speech techniques (breathing correctly, how to start speaking, facial gymnastics). I would like to note that the specialists invested in each member of the group. Thanks to their work, I realized that I could speak without hesitation. The course gave me a “foundation” for subsequent work on myself.
