This is one of the local railway station in the Chennai beach to Tambaram route. It's is near to locations like Airport, Palavanthangal, Nanganallur. But ideally you have to travel to Trisulam station to reach airport. One of the problem here is there is no wheelchair access. The road connecting to the station is very narrow because of the adjacent subway. There is no railway protection force desk in this station. Palavanthangal railway station serves the Nanganallur, Adambakkam, Puzuthivakkam and Ullagaram areas with the Airport running parallel on the other side. Palavanthangal subway runs under the tracks just before the entrance to the station with a pathway for commuters to enter / exit station as well. It also has a foot overbridge.

Very nice place and has many trees to give a nice cooling effect. Only negative is that the station is not regularly cleaned

Similar to other stations, but not so crowd place. Will be cool as it is surrounded by trees across. Every 15 mins there will be a train going towards tambaram and also for the beach station. No water filling place. Only bottles available. That's it. Nothing special.

It is connected to Metro Train and Electric Train well maintained

Pretty huge and well maintained station.

This is Pazhavanthangal Railway station, mainly for local suburban trains. Nanganallur town is the popular residential and commercial area. Sri Bhaktha Anjaneyar Temple is around 2km from this station. Nanganallur is an oldest town area with many temples. Good locality for habitat. Meenambakkam, Chennai International Airport is 3km approx. from here.

This railway station has a flyover and an underpass. People of Nanganallur and Palawandangal use this railway station a lot.

There is a market place and there are many retail outlets here. Adhivyadhihara Anchaneyar Temple is here. The deity is very tall and can be viewed from sranding outside. Different types of prasadams, in throwaway containers (what the call Donnai in Tamil ) are given to all devoties after they finish visiting the temple

Easiest way of travel is local train in all palces..especially this place for me...

Well maintained. Limited passenger amenities.

Faces the same problem as other stations- only one or two ticket counters are open even during peak hours, frequency of trains should be increased during peak hours, safety should be increased, the peak hour crowds should be handled better and station should be cleaner. Otherwise the connectivity in the city and the mobility the trains offer to the citizens is excellent.

No escalator. Most of the time only one person will be there in the ticket counter. Tea and book shops are not functioning properly.

Palavanthangal is famous for lord hanuman temple. There is a huge hanuman temple and lots of other temples like Shiva temple, Vinayaka temple. Its a brahmin area mostly. Lots of good shops are there to shop like Balasubramaniam, sivan malai etc. There is a small pond near sivan temple with a beautiful walking area and kids play area. There are of lots of nice places to eat.

Well maintained. Need to improve accessibility options for elderly people.

Good. Very clean. But stray dogs are roaming here n there. To improve public amenities, like toilets, book stall n arrange to open canteen n Cake/ snack stall, etc.
