Very homely food ,unlike other restaurants where hyper spicy & soda mixed food cause acidity & heart burn. Their breakfast especially the coconut chutney with idly & vada are excellent, like home made food. Safe for the stomach.

It's a small eatery with few tables for sitting and stand&Dine place look neat & Clean ,where you can get affordable tiffen with decent quality and quantity like, idly dosa poori in the noon the serve variety rice and limited meals.

Economical..good for middle class people..they open very early in the morning so suitable for school going students office goers.

I am one of irregular visitors of this restaurant, mainly for their tiffen items, idly, dosai, Pongal-vadai, poori-masala, rava kichadi, etc. My visits are mostly in the morning, sometimes in the evening. Prices are fair, having food here will not upset your stomach. Decent quality chutney and sambar. You can always spot a bearded shirtless guy, with orange veshti, probably he is the head cook i think. Payments are accepted in UPI and cash. This is a self service eatery, where you have to help yourself to get the food from the serving area, and dispose off the plate in the bin, placed beside the hand wash area, after you have done eating.

Very good and long standing hotel in this area. They are from udupi, but they provide authentic Chennai taste foods at very reasonable cost. Dine in is more of self serviced and they respond/deliver the orders quickly and efficiently.

Food is excellent. Small place but the food is hot and tasty. If they improve their ambience and seating , it can n come a great place because they serve excellent food.

A small tiffin centre being run in this area for more than 10 years or so; but in different premises. Homely food - of course prepared by labourers. Limited number of workers. Customers are treated very friendly by the owner and his family members. By and large, all varieties of tiffin, usually one can expect in a full-time hotel, like iddly vada dosa varieties poori masal pongal etc are available for breakfast. Only the minus point is the sambar is very watery; coconut chutney is not upto our expectations. Of course, kara chutney is tolerable! This aspect the proprietors should check. It makes the customers feel boring! Coffee is good. Variety rice O.K. Chappati, barotta are main items around 7.00 p.m. The Bangalore-style dining table is good. But, the table cleaning boy is doing some kitchen work ; coffee making; parcelling tiffin sometime. This could could have been avoided especially in this covid19 scenario. But this Baalaji Bhavan is well received by local people for take-away food items.

Self service. Food is ready instantly. Hot dosa ordered. Sambar and chutney available on each table. No limit 😜 Affordable price . On the main road. Pongal, idli, Puri are other options. Bike parking in front of hotel.

Worst tiffin center!!! Oil which they are using is of very cheap quality and while i had my tiffin there found dead remains of cockroach in my chutney. Staff person was also not hygienic at all, just before serving the dosa he was digging his nose and didn’t even bother to was his hands and served that dosa like that only. I will not recommend this tiffin center at all!

Nice and affordable brahmin food. We order regularly from here. No side dish given for sambar rice and curd rice, that's a minor concern. Taste, overall is good, but at times there's areas of improvement. Overall, an okay place to go to.
