The resort itself is delightful, one of the beautiful places on one of the most beautiful islands I've ever visited around the world. However, to be spending this much and to see the staff so poorly spoken to and treated by the senior staff, and most probably ridiculously underpaid, is just unacceptable. An eery echo of colonial times. Despite the bad working conditions and treatment the staff were always friendly, polite and helpful. I won't be spending my money here again for ethical reasons, a real pity.

The staff were so helpful and friendly! The rooms were outstanding!! Nicest rooms I may have ever stayed in! We loved spending time on lance guyoc beach for a calm secluded escape! The water was beautiful with no sea weed on this beach! Our butler rayshorn was amazing too!! Always there to help us with a smile! It was a fabulous vacation overall!!

I want to start by saying this place was absolutely breathtaking! If you can get over the very long travel time to get to your final destination you will realize it’s absolutely worth it. We have had the pleasure of staying at many amazing properties, but none had the level of service that the incredible staff at Mandarin Oriental Canouan provided us. Our butler, Iola, treated us like we were part of her family. She helped us create an amazing itinerary to maximize the time we had on the island. Anything we needed during our stay she took care of for us. For example, our daughters tooth fell out and I asked if she could see if the tooth fairy could stop by our room while we were out at dinner. When we got back, she had a stuffed animal and a very special note from the tooth fairy on her pillow! There are so many other examples, I could go on. I would say the only negative part of our trip would be the fact that when I booked this back in December 2022, the Mandarin Oriental did not have any promotions at that time. I’m usually pretty good about checking back to see if rates changed etc, however I did not this time. We met a couple who were staying the EXACT 4 days at this property and he mentioned that when they booked the promotion was there. The promotion that is available is “book 3 nights, have one night free”Furthermore, the promotion was currently going on now as well when checking the website! I asked if anything could be done to help since I missed out on promotion when we booked, and the reservations team was not willing to make any adjustments. Let me be clear, this is not a reflection on the staff at Canouan, rather the mandarin oriental reservation team that is off site. I wouldn’t make a big deal out of this normally, but when we are talking about a place that is $1500-$2000 a night, that is quite significant. Just make sure when you book, to always look out for special deals like this, because they come and go and can save you a lot!

Amazing place. Hard to exceed my expectations but the staff did just that. Room was amazing opening onto the beach. Our personal butler named Dominique was impeccable. Restaurants were amazing and I like being not crowded. Excellent time overall. Will definitely come back

Excellent - the resort and staff exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing, and our personal butler Akeah was incredible. Great for families as they have a great kids club, and also perfect for couples. It truly is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back!

We are here now, and we couldn’t be happier with the accommodations, services and offerings at this property. This is one of the most peaceful and tranquil hotels in the world. We are already planning our stay for next year. The staff here is world class: articulate, educated and with a heart to serve. Come here and escape. Love the MO Canouan.

Maderin Oriental is a very stylish and luxurious Resort, for which We had the pleasure of staying there from May 26th to the 29th 2023. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink, which read 'welcome to paridise and our names on our coconut water was just so sweet. The Butler Raysorn Dickson was so on point and very hospitable, he made our checking process so easy and very comfortable. He has impeccable manners. From the spacious room to the enticing bed, the fruits in our room to the decor, the daily treats was just awesome. The housekeeping service was immaculate . We were able to sample all the restaurants during our short stay and we truly enjoyed the breakfasts, the lunches and the dinners, the service at all was exemplary. All the staff are courteous and served you with a smile, and is there anything else we can assist you with. It was truly a wonderful experience staying at this Resort which we will never forget. Kudos to Mrs Johnson, She is surely a Gem and knows her job well and is very professional and charismatic.

Don’t walk…run! The experience at the mandarin oriental Canouan was over the top amazing. We were looking for a luxurious getaway where we could relax, decompress from the hectic life of work and young kids, and enjoy being outdoors. Aside from the fact that the grounds are gorgeous, the resort itself is so well maintained and everything is kept to perfection. Our room, large, clean, full of many amenities, was gorgeous. The best part was it led right out onto the beach, making it feel so remote and private, the perfect getaway for relaxation. The food was excellent at every single meal and we consider ourself foodies. The best part of the entire vacation, though, was the staff and people who work there. I cannot say enough positive feedback about these people. Every single person is welcoming, kind, respectful, and couldn’t do enough to make sure you were happy and taken care of. Whether it was our butler, the manager, the maintenance person, or the food staff, everyone was top of the line amazing. I do have to give a special shout out to the entire breakfast staff. I was emotional saying goodbye to them as they truly were the nicest humans I’ve ever met. If you visit, be sure to get a chance to spend time with jennifer, Abigail, Stella, Erica, and fieona; they are true gems. Our butler Romanio was amazing, making sure everything we needed was taken care of. He even put in so much effort to ensure we received a special gift from him at our departure. Truly he went over and beyond. Last but not least, you must make time to spend with Kezroy. We met him on our last day, when he gave us a guided hike up Mt. Royal, but he may very well be my favorite person. His energy and kindness is unmatched! Meeting these people have made me have a new outlook on what the definition of kindness means; thank you for that! All in all, this resort, and the staff, could not have been kinder and more professional and the trip itself was a 10/10. I pray we will be back one day! * I know when I personally read reviews it’s hard to know WHO is saying the feedback so for a frame of reference: I do have a nice history of travel staying at top of the line hotels and resorts, so please know we have compared this to chains such as four seasons, ritzs, and private villas.
