If you are in the locality of this restaurant, then it is a must to try. The portion size is extremely generous. The fish is perfectly cooked. The tuna fish, is the best I've eaten. The decor is very rustic old cabin looking. There is parking outside and it's based on ground level with no steps. Cold beverages and alcohol is served here. They also serve BBQ chicken and a few other meats, which you can have with fries, or rice, it's suitable for children and the whole family. The price is cheap for the amount of food and the quality is excellent. The service is fantastic, Regina is lovely and friendly. Overall excellent place to eat. Definitely 5* rating.

Tasty fresh fish and lobster amongst other items. Service is great, and portions are great. However, the atmosphere needs to be updated for a place that's really well reviewed.

A highlight of our trip, wish we had this place back home! Nice staff and customers, friendly and welcoming. We longed for a nice lobster, and this is indeed the place to get it. Started with the 25 EC$ pork ribs which were delicious, nice sauce, back home this cut would be called “riblets.” Nice sized portion for 2 people. Believe server said lobster ran from 80 EC$ to a max of about 160 EC$, we ordered 1 “big one.” Well, it was huge in our view, but apparently not as big as they come as we paid 120 EC$, thank goodness we did not get the 160 EC$ as we were crazy full after eating the mid-sized one (see photos). Maybe the server kindly spared us the too big version, we think so because she was nice and really took care of us. Beautiful lobster wonderfully prepared, with good sides 15 EC$ total for two, loved the lentils and the rice. When we paid our bill, we were very politely told NOT to add a tip, despite there was no service charge. To us a great value and a great memory, too bad we cannot visit regularly but when we do return to St Vincent this will be our first stop. Also, if your senses shy you away from places that lack an expensive sign or are a bit rustic looking as this was, consider putting that aside and eating here, you’ll be happy you did.

4 Shells is located by where the fishermen do their thing, so me thinks the fish are fresh today. 4 Shells from the outside is typical Caribbean in the sense of no frills and basic, what it has in abundance is charm and personality and friendly service. The food where do I start, my choice was fried Snapper with rice and peas, vegetables, salad, and pasta, the fish has to have its own plate it’s so big, the portion size of the food was generous, thanks, the fish was amazing, it was tasty , it was crispy just how I like it. These guys know how to cook, this is a gem of a place to eat, the food on offer and the quality is seriously good, and let’s come onto the price, I have not encountered such a lot for so little, this is so reasonably priced, no wonder the locals keep this little gem of an eatery so quiet

The FRESH catch is PHENOMENAL and prepared to your liking. And being new to the area, I just put it on my daily food list...fresh catch and veggies to stay HEALTHY!!! My ABSOLUTE favorite is the lobster when in season and Pan Fried Red Snapper weekly!!! This restaurant is an EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT place to visit and enjoy.

Fresh and local seafood and meat dishes for reasonable prices. Never had any problems with the service either. Always a preferred destination when it comes to lunch as well as favourite lobster place during the season.

This restaurant should be top of your list of places to eat/dine. Located in fishing village, you are guaranteed to get the best fresh seafood imaginable. For my short stay in St Vincent, I frequented here for every meal. All the dishes that I tried were delicious. Here are my favorites: grilled lobster, steamed fish, bbq pig tail and pan fried fish. If you’re looking for a good and affordable home cooked meal while in St Vincent, go to 4 Shells and tell them that I sent you.

Amazing seafood place. Everything was so delicious that we had to come back the next day. The fish was fresh and the flavor was excellent. The prices were very good in relation to the quality and quantity you get. One warning though is that if you come during peak hours and there’s lots of people you will have to wait A LOT. We waited more than an hour to get the food. But it was worth it in the end

Loved the steamed veg, breadfruit and rice, and I would have loved the lobster too, had it a) been the price I was originally quoted and b) not way overcooked. The girls were friendly, but didn’t give me the real rate. Don’t dare asking for citrus, either, but their hot pepper sauce is a great condiment/replacement. Would have loved to have a better experience as 4 Shells came highly recommended.

Great place to have lunch. The food was prepared very fast and we didn't even call ahead. Very tasty we had grilled and pan fried king fish, and it was delicious. The waitress was kind, funny and very helpful. Prices are very reasonable. This is a local joint with great food. Don't be put off by the decor, it's basic but clean and air conditioned. We enjoyed our meal.

We had been told before arriving to order the snapper and so glad we did, it was delicious! The service was great and super friendly. We paid $77 (cb) for 1 large snapper, with all the sides, fries and 4 beers. Was worth every cent. Would recommend it to anyone, was fantastic flavour

The lobster was huge. Side dishes were all tasty. Waitress was patient and kind. It's a real value for the money. Key points to know before you arrive. First, order your main course before you go or else you will wait a long time. Second, no credit cards. Third, you are going for good seafood not ambience. Otherwise, I will be taking friends and family when I return in the future.

I had lobster and fries and it was delicious! The inside is isn't bright it's dim, so if you go inside from bright outdoors be ready for a quick eye readjustment 😄 Our waitress was excellent, no complaints there and she had a good knowledge of what's on the menu and what's offered at the bar. However, seeing as the name is "4 shells" I went thinking there would be some shell decor inside but it's just normal.

The food is good. I had the pan fried red snapper to go. It came in 2 containers. 1 container for the whole fish, including the head and tail, and 1 container for the sides and salad, which included saffron rice, potato salad, green salad, fried plantains, and some other sides which I couldn't identify but tasted good. The interior of the restaurant is a bit dingy and run down and dark. Not very inviting. They also don't have menus, just a chalk board, which did not include prices. They do offer the dish that I ordered in 2 sizes: the $20 ec size and the $25 ec size. I ordered the one for $25 ec. Not sure what's included in the $20 ec meal. Overall, I would eat there again.

The best fish I've ever had! Fresh from the sea! Full of flavour. Have patience because good food takes time to cook. Get the Snapper if you're dining with a group. Tuna was good too!

This place makes such good food, lovely dining and fun atmosphere. We have come here 3 or 4 times now and it’s our favourite place on the island.

Lobster prices can change drastically, but generally prices are very good. Went twice, got the red snapper, lobster was good portions of lobster. The second time we went the price of lobster was about triple what we payed so we ordered grilled tuna and curried conch was all very tasty.

This place is not plush or fancy (almost the opposite), but don't be put off by the look of it. The menu is plain and simple....no frills or elaborate use of words. One plain blackboard on the wall by the bar is what you see. Again, don't let this distract you......trust me. However, the food is extremely good, and it is served hot and plentiful. Great portions, great taste everthing on the plate makes up for the simple surroundings. (Big Red Snapper fantastic!) We enjoyed it so much we already know what we will try next time we go! Which will be very soon.

Staff were very friendly and the food was tasty. When I explained my gluten allergy they were able to walk me through the menu and modify some dishes to be safe.

This was my 4th time at this restaurant, and the lobsters and red snappers are the best i have ever tasted.

Amazing food for an unbeatable price. I got the pan fried fish with all the sides breadfruit, fried plantains, eggplant mash, rice, salad. My girlfriend got the grilled kingfish with all the sides which which she said was very good, but a little dry. Two dinners and one beer $22usd or $55ec! The dining room is outdated and we were about the only people in there. Service was great. I would definitely go back. You cannot make dinner yourself for the price they charge.

If you want a good plate of food go to 4 shells. The food is absolutely amazing. I don't have any pics due to phone breaking. Pan fried fish and the snapper is the best.

👍👍 We sailed from Mangoz in St. Vincent to Mangoz in Bequia and it was amazing. We all decided to get the burgers and fries. I had a mudslide and the chocolate mouse.
