Please do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. The staff in this hotel was so rude and unhelpful, and the bar situation wasn’t any better.Barman refused to give us a cocktail menu simply because he couldn’t be bothered to make one. Receptionist even didn’t want to acknowledge us when we checked in and checked out. No hello, no thank you, no bye?! If you wanted to be treated like a nuisance and feel extremely unwelcome then Firefly Estate is the place for you! EDIT: After owners reply, I can confirm that when we stayed in your hotel you had a barman or whatever his job title was, as sometimes he was at the bar, sometimes he was just wandering around, however during our stay and unfortunate attempt to have a dinner in your restaurant- he was at the bar serving( or better to say not) drinks!

Not stopped here but eat and drank here. Its a super place, great location and stunning scenery. Very friendly staff and good service. I think staying here would be quite magical as so tranquil.

We sail the Grenadines regularly and when anchored in Bequia we always walk to the turtle sanctuary. We stop here to cool down half way for roti, drinks and a swim. Food and service is extraordinary and friendly. Has to be one of the most beautiful and relaxing places on earth.

Absolutely gorgeous view! The plantation tour was interesting, Ezra, the gardener knew his stuff! We stopped for the afternoon and stayed for dinner - the chicken and coconut curry was delicious. It was lovely talking to guests and some of the staff, Melissa at the bar had a sore throat and bad neck but she was still charming!

We went to the Firefly Plantation as an afternoon outing. The man who showed us around was knowledgeable and provided us with samples of the fruit and plant grown there. The golf course is about what you could expect on private property on a small island. The buildings were pretty neat.

UPDATE: it makes me sad to write this because we loved our last visit. We came back for lunch with a large group of hikers. The food was good, but the service was quite disappointing. 15 minutes after they took our orders, they had to take the whole group's orders a second time for some unknown reason. They accidentally made an extra order of samosas and walked around the table trying to convince someone to take it - and then when we finally agreed, they charged us for it! I would expect a restaurant to provide it for free since it would have gone to waste...or just take it back and give it to the staff. Also, my friend who has a wheat allergy asked two different people if there was wheat in a certain dish and told no both times ... and only after the fact found out (by asking someone in management when she started feeling bad) that it did! The lady apologized... but didn't offer to comp the menu item that we now knew was going to make her sick. Also lots of confusion about the orders. Really a shame... We didn't stay here, just did the tour of the gardens. Ezra was a gracious host, introducing us to many fruits that were new to us! The sea salt shop is also worth a visit.

I love it at Firefly! I needed to relax and that's what I got. Food is tasty. Service is excellent. Danishel and Eddie really take care of you. Liz makes sure everything is just right.

The rooms are a delight. And as a vegan they are great at accommodating dietary needs. Service above.

To say our stay was anything less than perfect would be a disgrace to this place and the amazing people working there. We were greeted with the upmost hospitality and friendliest of faces! The entire estate is very well kept and the view from any side of the property is breathtaking! We had several of our meals at the restaurant located on the Firefly Estates, and there was not a breakfast nor dinner that we didn’t absolutely enjoy fully! The beach was a short walk from the rooms, and town was a beautiful 30min walk from the Estate. We can not express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Firefly. We can however tell you it is a must stay location that you won’t regret it !

Not meant to put anyone off... we went there for breakfast, and the chef was not in. Since the had no guests in that morning the chef went to conduct business so things didn't go as planned. The ambiance is beautiful, Place is cozy but I can't speak to the rooms. Would probable try again

Really enjoyed the estate tour. Learned about the history and sampled fresh sugarcane juice, coconut, and refreshing coconut water.

Caribbean charm boutique style we loved it 😍 Firefly is set in a old plantation and has a wealth of charm. The grounds are gorgeous, well kept and Esra will walk you through the whole thing pointing put the various trees, plants and herbs. The accommodation of just 4 suites is really something. Double showers plus an outside shower, huge bed, dressing room with tea/coffee bits and bobs plus cloakroom with 2 sinks. Great views from the huge balcony/terrace and all immaculately kept. The pool area is also great, decent size with double raised couch/lounging things at each end. We crashed out and read books here. The restaurant has great food, with a limited menu, but beautifully cooked and presented. We ate here 6 times in our 10 night stay. Breakfast is also included. Bar is great for pre and post dinner drinks. However, like anywhere it’s not for everyone. For us, we liked the 20 min walk into port elizabeth for the many bars and restaurants. Some may prefer that on the doorstep. If you prefer to wave a wee flag to have your cocktail delivered, then maybe this isn’t for you. But if you want amazing personal service, great food, cocktails, beers, help in anything from which is the best massage, beach, chefs in town… taxis ordered for an early start. If you need supper left in your room then the wonderful folk at firefly will help you with everything. We absolutely loved our time here for peace, fantastic service, the pool, the amazing accommodation, the walks, the dogs and not being in the middle of town but close enough to have all the benefits. Thanks to all at firefly for making our dream vacation.

A beautiful setting up in the hills. We came for an estate tour which was given by Ezra, and was very enjoyable. He took us around the estate letting us sample the fruits etc, taking almost a hour. We then went for a drink in the bar and ended up staying for an evening meal. The food was good and the view amazing, well worth the drive up into the hills!

We played there 9 hole mini golf course. It's more than a pitch n put but great fun even if you play properly! I've never hit a shot, husband plays off 6 (apparently) we both loved it. The hotel will sort a cooler n beers if you want too! Winner!! Had lunch afterwards which was OK, standard fare

Extremely rude staff. We came by to have lunch at the restaurant and they were very impolite and unfriendly. They refused to serve us even though the lunch was finishing half an hour later.

Always a pleasure to stay at Firefly on Bequia: a beautiful location, attentive and friendly staff, and delicious food and drinks. A home away from home that you never want to leave.

I’ve never found a staff that is so rude. Just don’t go there, it’s not worth your time, your money or anything else. My guess is that they will go bankrupt soon with this attitude. Tons of other cute places in Port Elisabeth instead :)

Service in the restaurant is the worst i experienced in long time! The guy lied about the price of refreshments and became very sarcastic the moment we inquired about the price.. Wouldn't recommend to anyone..

A wonderful oasis of calm! This working plantation has the best rooms on Bequai and well worth a detour from St Vincent. The staff are friendly and welcoming and serve delicious meals and great cocktails. ask Rodney for a Bomb!!

Heaven. Organised our wedding here, and the location and people were wonderful. Unmatched hospitality. Rodney and Donovan and Colin and team are superb and the rooms and views and food is stunning. Hope to come back ASAP.

Heavenly food, special rooms and wonderful scenery. The Firefly Bequia is a most welcoming sanctuary on this pristine island - probably the most Caribbean in the Caribbean. The owners have built a bolt hole that caters for the most discerning of travellers. It's where we have found the serenity and the stimulation that we seek when we travel. I can't fail to praise this hotel.

ABSOLUTELY wonderful meal! Enjoyed everything we ate and drank. Highly recommend trying any dish specials, as the staff knows what they are doing. All of their food and drinks are fresh and made to your taste! Want to commend Rodney and Donovan for an outstanding job with service.

👍 We attended this place in November 2021 and really enjoyed the experience. The view was lovely and the restaurant is in the ideal place to watch the soothing water. The dog (whom I think belongs to the owner) was really cute and sweet. There are a variety of available toppings such as fish, shrimp...

😐 Beautiful environment and friendly service are the top attractions for this hotel. The swell on the beach makes it difficult to swim if not impossible. The beach side bar and restaurant are very over priced. $5 USD for a beer that’s double the normal price.

👍👍 The food was amazing and the drinks were refreshing. The best part of my visit was listening to violinist Samuel Toka. It was brilliant the way in which he smiled as he played.
