Unexpected surprise! Well preserved industrial site, including the whole urbanisation around the mine shaft. A lot of original artefacts, worth the visit.

Great visit! The place is dilapidated and still strong in its original form but it is very interesting in terms of heritage conservation. Visited with children on a simple tour, the explanations are not suitable for children... The mining site also offers an optional audio guide or a visit with a guide. I recommend this visit after having done the Bois du Cazier or a large mine like Blegny. We will definitely come back with a new group of children!

A unique place documenting the experience of living and working in a Wallonian mining town at the time of the Industrial Revolution. All information available in English as well as French.
