Must visit place in Paris! It's a glorious beauty beholding the grandeur for centuries! Tickets need to be purchased online. Need to stay in line for a few minutes, after which you pass through security, then a relatively narrow staircase. Once you enter you notice that it's only a single big space but for sure you will be awestruck by it's beauty! The details on each of the stained glasses and the colors used are just amazing! There's also a video display board on the side for more information.Definitely worth a visit! You exit through the souvenir room. There's a toilet facility just outside.

Although the church itself is smaller in scale compared to others it’s interior is still beautiful. When we arrived the line was quite long and I was thinking that it wouldn’t be worth the long wait considering it was a cold rainy day. However to my surprise the line moved quite quickly. Once we entered we could see all the beautiful stain glass windows and other decor. The souvenirs they had at the bottom were all eye catching especially the circular stain glass pieces they had available, which I had to get for myself.

Very beautiful but very noisy, silence should be required according to everything in a small building and even a bedroom. Overall a nice visit even if there was a very large crowd and noise There are two spaces to see, the most beautiful of course being the one at the top which has wonderful stained glass windows and is truly exceptional. Fairly quick visit, I advise you to buy your tickets online as you will save a little time.

Ok well I wouldn't pay to enter the chapel because u can see all.of it in under 5 minutes and its contained in these photos. That said I entered on the free Sunday day and.it was absolutely worth it. Make sure u go to the first floor and don't stop with just the main entrance ground floor. The large panels of glass stained glass is on the next floor

This is absolutely the most beautiful church I have ever been in. It is on a small "island" in the middle of Paris called Ille de la cite. The stained glass windows are spectacular, tall, slender colorful, original! I was mesmerized from start to finish, my photos do not do it justice. It must be witnessed in person. Do not miss it or its really beautiful Rose window! You will not be disappointed. Get the guided tour, it's worth it as you will find out so much more than what you'll learn just by reading the laminated information cards they have in each area.

For anyone with a Paris Museum Pass, be sure to book a time slot and visit this famed chapel. For those without a Museum Pass, you still should visit it if you are travelling into Paris. Words do not do justice to how awestruck we were upon entering the second floor (be sure to find the spiral staircase from the first floor without missing it) to see the main chapel decorated in the most beautiful work of stained glass art we will ever see. The entire visit and lineup will not take long so be sure to find 30min to an hour of your day to visit this masterpiece.

Beautiful tourist spot and a must-see. This was one of my favorite spots as a first time tourist. It felt like a nicer experience compared to a place like the Louvre because it wasn't as hectic or crazy. There were some people but not too many, and it was quiet inside the actual stained glass area.

Immense, vast, tall, grand and majestic. If you buy tickets in advance this does not mean you won't have to line up, be prepared to line up for at least 20mins. The cumbersome security process takes a while. Once you get past this, it's worth it. Be prepared to also climb a few plus some more stairs.

There are two levels to cover. The lower level is beautiful but subtle and displays artefacts retrieved before the renovation and also houses the souvenir shop. The upper level is more crowded and home to the stained glass windows and statues along with the shroud. The place is beautiful inside. Tickets cost around 11€, but are free for certain groups. It's better to book them online in advance (though you might have to stand in a queue anyway).

The Church is so beautiful. The interior is incredible. Worth it to visit when you are in Paris. We must not queue to enter the Church because already did an online reservation. So, better if you do a reservation before coming here. Sadly we were just doing a short visit because we still must visit other places.

This place is one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Paris. Thus I definitely recommend to buy tickets with time slot booking via internet. However, even with time-booked tickets, you still have to wait in line (queue) for 30-60 minutes because there are several significant defects in the way they operate. 1. First of all, there are three lines (queues) to wait; right, middle and left. - Right line (road side) is for ticket holders with “on the hour” time booking such as 11:00, 12:00, 13:00….. - Middle line for time booking 11:30, 12:30, 13:30….. - Left line (wall side) is for people without tickets. The biggest problem is that even if you have 12:30 tickets (for example), you cannot enter at 12:30. You have to wait probably 12:50-13:00 without being explained anything. 2. If you become anxious and try to figure out what’s going on, it is normal to ask their security person at the entrance. However, he is extremely useless, arrogant and unfriendly. It is probably not fair to blame only him because all the other staff such as security checkers, ticket officers, gift shop clerks are the same as if they all completed their internal training of “How to behave NOT nice to the visitors”. 3. Finally, you will find the lines (queues) are not for tickets but for security checks. Once you go through the security checkpoints, you can proceed very smoothly without stress and buy tickets easily. The fatal mistake is they don’t check the time-booking proof before security checks. In the extreme case, even if you DON’T have tickets, you can still pretend to have it and go through the security checkpoint and buy a ticket later. I truly wish the operator of this wonderful place shall be replaced by someone with more visitor friendly mindset but I know it doesn’t happen.

Beautiful chapel inside the royal palace. It was beautiful but very crowded. Since it was for royal use before, the church itself looks very extravagant but quite small. We finished checking it in like 30-45 mins (with taking pictures and reading stuff). I went in for free as it was the first Sunday of February

The chapel is beautiful, but I bought a time slot ticket, expecting to go in at that time. However, they oversold the 12:00 slot by hundreds of tickets and let all of those people go first. We had to wait 1.5 hours or more just to get in. I wasn’t a fan of that. However the chapel is beautiful and even though I have been before, my mom has not, and I wanted her to see it.

I don't know if it's because there's a Paris Superior Court, you have to get a full body X-ray scan that you can only see at the airport to pass the entrance. The space between the columns of the chapel is filled with stained glass, not a wall. So it is by far the best stained glass I've ever seen. And I think that I definitely would never see a stained glass more colorful than this.

WORTH YOUR TIME, I PROMISE! It was absolutely gorgeous. The first time were in Paris we didn't get a chance to see this building. I made plans to see it as soon as we booked our flight. We just happened to go on the first Sunday of the month, when admission is free. They have some pretty intense security measures to get through (at least to see a church) but it's understandable these days. The chapel itself was just gorgeous. I'm sure it's getting even more foot traffic these days with Notre Dame closed and I think that's great! This structure deserves lots of love! The gift shop in the lower level is definitely worth a visit. The upper level usually gets the most credit, but both levels are beautiful. For those with mobility restrictions (or claustrophobics), be aware there are pretty tight spiral staircases that take you up and down. I'm frankly not sure if there are more accessible ways inside and up, but I just wanted to make that much known.

Waited about 30 minutes to get in…that’s with advanced tickets and being there just a few minutes before they opened. Long lines, particularly for those who were trying to buy tickets on site. Well worth a visit, and suggest combo ticket option with the Concergerie. Together learned a lot about French Revolution, and the early ideals of equal/fair treatment of one’s citizenry. Spectacular stained windows and setting, and interesting lower chapel history. Definitely recommend the audio tour at the chapel.

Was in France with one of my French friends who mentioned this place and so glad he did. It was a very cool find to drop by and see. It’s not super big, doesn’t take a long time to see but I would say it’s def worth it if you have more time in Paris or you’ve seen all the other big attractions.

This beautiful cathedral is situated quite close to Notre Dame but can be easily overlook due to its surrounding buildings. The main chapel is just breathtaking and the stained glass is over 20m high! Attention to details is simply amazing and so is the architecture. Highly recommend!

The church features more than 1000 picture images on its windows dating back to the 13th century.....just incredible! Make a reservation for your visit, in off-season possible just one day before your visit. There is a limited number of chairs within the chapel in order to enjoy the windows.

Absolutely gorgeous stained glass windows. Cost was about 12 Euro per person. It's up a flight of narrow windy stairs, per usual. The inside is relatively small but the detail and stories told in the stained glass windows is amazing!!! Worth a visit for sure.

Line to get in was not too long, but I did go at the end of September. You do pass through security screening before entering. Once out of security screening you enter a courtyard where there are toilets on the left side. To your right you see the chapel. The Gothic style is very impressive with gargoyles and carvings on the outside. Worth a moment to see all the detail on the outside. You buy tickets inside the chapel, 17 and under are free. You first walk in the lower part of the church, which had artifacts and informational items. Then you walk up a narrow staircase to the top where you see the beautiful stained glass. There are so many stories told in the glass, it deserves sometime to sit and appreciate. Worth a visit!

Probably one of the most beautiful place to visit in Paris. Walking up the stairs and then getting into the Chapel is just breathtaking. The colours of the windows are beautiful and relates the story from Genesis to the Apocalypse. With the Paris pass, you get free entry but you will have to pay a fee to get the audio guide. We were the last entry which meant that we got to have the chapel for ourselves as they were closing it down.

STUNNING! The intricate detailed stain glass windows showing the stories of the Bible was heavenly. It honestly felt other worldly standing reverently amongst these masterpieces. I could have stayed for hours but they were closing. Honestly it was one of my favorite places we visited. Not only is the building stunning and the history interesting but it felt like I was enveloped and taken back in time with the stained glass windows.

A fantastic example of historic and breathtaking architecture. A must see when in Paris. Arrive or book early! This will always be busy. Didn't have to wait long, very friendly front of house and when going though airport style bag scanning. Br prepared to have a lot of people in your photos if you don't aim high! Reach for the stars and all will turn out well! Good luck!

Small but exquisite chapel with the most amazing stained glass windows. Make sure to book at time slot in advance, avoid the weekend, go early in the day, the chapel is small so 30 minutes is all you need once you are in. It’s just one block from notre dame, easy to find with google maps but few signs. A great brief experiment as part of a walking tour of Paris. Great gift shop.

Must see church! Beautiful original decor, gorgeous stained glass windows, lots of history. It was one of the first buildings in Paris. Printed pamphlets are in all languages and tell you a lot about parisian history. We bought timed combo ticket for Conciergerie and St.Chapelle. Highly recommend.

(Translated by Google) The holy chapel a Gothic gem. It was only carried out in a record time for the time. The fifteen stained-glass windows are magnificent, measuring 15 meters in height, the stained-glass windows recount the scenes from the Old and New Testaments until the arrival of the relics of Christ in Paris. The Chapel was intended to house the most precious relics of Christendom, including the Crown of Thorns of Christ, acquired by Saint Louis. This chapel is definitely a visit. It's my favorite, despite its entry price. But you really have to see the very pretty play of lights lit by the sun on the stained glass windows. The Sainte-Chapelle is accessible but the route is not easy in a wheelchair. The width of the electronic gendarmerie control gate is 76 cm. The monument is then accessed through the entrance located at the end of the paved courtyard, on the right. The upper chapel is not accessible (33 steps). To recommend. A recommander.

Art is a spiritual practice. If it weren't for art, I'd have given up on God a long time ago. This cathedral though....is very convincing. Said Janice McLeod. Easily one of the top five places we visited, the Sainte-Chapelle was one of the most majestic and beautiful churches that I have ever seen. I could have sat in the main room with all the stained glass for hours if I had the time, though we felt like 2 hours here was more than enough time to appreciate this gorgeous piece of history. Another neat fun fact is that all of the stained glass is original.

The church is very beautiful from the inside, there are two halls on the ground floor and the large one on the first floor. The climb up a narrow staircase from the inside is wonderful and charming. The floor and ceilings are very beautiful. The ticket price is suitable 12€ and there is the possibility of booking online for those who do not like to wait.

A must see in Paris! Definitely worth going! It is a gothic style chapel and it is very beautiful inside. Sainte-Chapelle is considered among the highest achievements of the Rayonnant period (period from about the mid-13th century to mid-14th century) of Gothic arhitecture.

A must-see sight in Paris. Small but just stunning. The stained glass really is something to admire here- I could spend hours just looking at it. So colourful and pretty, and the blue ceiling is amazing too. Really is like a little jewellery box. Note: if you don’t like small spiral staircases, then you won’t like this! It’s short so quick to get up there however it is narrow and steep.

Wonderful experience! A must visit if you are in Paris for 3-4 days! Inside is a well preserved church with beautiful architecture. The colors and the glass walls are magnificent. You can pick up the brochures at the reception, which gives you a lot of information about the structures and the building itself. I would say the tickets are a little on the pricier side but, it's Paris!

Beautiful! But if I’m being completely honest, it was a bit pricey. The Pantheon was the same price and 20x the amount to see. A worker who was working the front entrance was a bit unpleasant (maybe bc I don’t speak French), when I left a different worker was working and he was kind.

A beautiful chapel famous for its stained glass walls. If you like Gothic art, you should consider visiting. The price is a bit too high for such a short visit (it is basically one chamber that could be seen in 5-10 minutes). Despite having a reservation (made online in advance) for a particular hour, we entered 1,5 h before, so I guess they either weren't too strict about the hour or it was not fully booked. There were two queues outside, one for visitors with reservation and the other for visitors without it. Ours moved fast, we waited maybe 2 or 3 minutes to enter. The covid pass was checked at the entrance, and wearing a mask was obligatory at all times when inside. Note: at the weekend, the nearest metro line (number 4) was closed. We had to walk to the Chatelet station instead.

As an individual who loves stained glass art, this church placed me in awe. I still recall stepping into the main church and had my jaws dropped by the sight and structures. There's 12 euro entry fee at this church and the queue is a lot longer and slower for those that buy their tickets on site. The church itself is amazing with it's Staind window glass walls. A lot smaller than I thought after seeing pictures online but still breathtaking. Totally worth it. The tour starts on the ground floor, which is small and dark, but don't panic, the main part of the church is after a small stairs climb through the small doors near the entrance.

It’s definitely very beautiful inside, but even with pre-purchased tickets we’ve spent 1 hour in line (our tickets were for 11:30, we joined the line at 11:20 and passed the security check at 12:20). So essentially we’ve spent 1h in line and like 20 minutes inside, cause it’s rather small. The day of our visit they’ve completely closed the entrance for those who don’t have tickets, so book in advance for the earliest possible time to avoid the waiting time

This church, now an UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built by a French king to house the crown of thorns and pieces of the true cross - they spared no expense. The accessible portions of this site consist of a lower worship area and an upper area. For both of these I recommend the audio guide at least - there is symbolism everywhere and meaning in everything. You will miss it otherwise. The two areas are connected by a windy staircase that was made in the middle ages. When you enter the upper area it’s just an explosion of color that has to be experienced. Today we can but marvel at the craftsmanship of this world treasure. Truly amazing.

Visiting Sainte-Chapelle in Paris was awe-inspiring. The stunning stained glass windows created a mesmerizing play of colors, casting an ethereal glow. The Gothic architecture added to the grandeur, making it a truly captivating experience. I would rate it a solid 4 out of 5, as the historical and artistic significance was profound, but the crowds slightly impacted the serene atmosphere.

This is nice, but can be done quickly. The regular wait is kinda long. However, if you have a mobility disability, there are accommodations, however, they're not obvious and you have to ask for them. But elevators etc are available... Pro tip: if you can find your way to the bathrooms by the elevator in the Justice palace part of the building (they're connected), there you'll find cheap snacks water and coffees via vending machine. I recommend this. It's about $14pp

Built by Louis IX in the 13th century, the Sainte-Chapelle is an architectural wonder and the finest royal chapel built in France. Designed with a Rayonnant Gothic style architecture, this chapel attracts millions of tourists each year. The chapel was commissioned by Louis IX of France in order to display his huge collection of Passion relics. It also houses the relics from the medieval Christendom, Christ's Crown of Thorns.

Your appreciation for gothic architecture will be at an all-time high! Every inch of this chapel is beautiful; it starts with the rose windows and extends to the floors. The chapel can feel a little crowded mid-day, so early more visits are recommended.

We broke away from our group and decided to see Sainte-Chapelle. Very fascinated by the age of the Church but also had to see the stained glass windows. Worthwhile to go on a sunny day especially later in the day. Expect to wait in line to pay. The line moves slowly.

It stands squarely upon a lower chapel, which served as parish church for all the inhabitants of the Palace, which was the seat of government. The king was later recognized as a saint by the Catholic church. His title became Saint Louis.

(Translated by Google) It's a great place to visit with the Paris Museum Pass. It's a place where you can see everything in 10-20 minutes, so rather than paying 11.5 euros alone, it seems better to take time to stop by the museum pass. It is divided into two floors, with a small souvenir shop and a place of worship on the first floor, and when you go upstairs, you will find a chapel where you can see the beautiful stained glass shown in the picture. I felt it was the most beautiful stained glass I've ever seen in the cathedrals I've been to. It is a cathedral that gives you a clear understanding of what the Gothic style is, and the second floor is very high. The high floor height and stained glass make the cathedral a more spacious and sacred space. The cathedral was built in the mid 1200's, so it's not as spacious as you might think, but it's amazing that this building was built 800 years ago, and that it has been well preserved. If you are going to Paris, if you have a Museum Pass, I recommend stopping by! It was stunning to see how it is preserved until today. The fine art work on glass representing 4 colors red, blue, green and yellow is satisfying to watch. It reminds us about the glory of artists back then and gives an idea about their dedication, passion and devotion they had about their religion. But at the same time, it also reminds us that nothing in this world lasts forever. I am thankful to the ticket checker who let me in for free with my friends. The staff was very nice as well.

One should not miss the majestic breathtaking stained glass surrounding all sides nor the amazing atmosphere inside the chapels. I would say this stained glass is the most beautiful one I’ve ever seen in my life. It is located close to Notre Dame Cathedral. It is worth visiting when you come to Paris. Highly recommended!

We visited Sainte-Chapelle in Paris & it really is an amazing sight to see! There are 15 stained-glass windows that stand nearly 50feet tall! Each of the windows have 30 or so? images & represent a book or story from the bible. The most significant is the Passion of Christ- center window behind the shrine. The statues of Peter & 5 other apostles are said to be the original from 770 something years ago-& have never been restored!!! Most appear to be ethnic- either black or brown. The round stained-glass windows at the back of the chapel is the story of the apocalypse. We spent about 1.5 hours there & it was a nice peaceful break from the hustle & bustle of St. Michel. Price to enter was about 12 Euro & wait to enter was maybe 15 minutes. #RoyalChapel #SainteChapelle #Paris #France🇫🇷 #gothic #chapel #13thcentury #magnificent #amazing

Beautiful church! Visit takes about 1 hour. The waiting time could be 1 hour and more, depends how many people are waiting. With the Paris Museum Pass you are also going to wait and queue like the normal entrance ticket 😞

An amazing Gothic gem. Really worth visiting! The tickets are a bit too expensive in my opinion, since the chapel is just one room..

  • 5/5 Bruno F. 2 years ago on Google
just breathtaking, the building is back from 13th century, and it's so well conserved. the windows are stunning and you will be there for hours just paying attention to every single detail. the ticket is a fair price. I really recommend going inside it

  • 3/5 Adriana G. 2 years ago on Google
Sainte-Chapelle is very beautiful, however I only gave it 3 stars for two reasons: we bought tickets online for an allocated time but when we got there, there was a long queue and despite our booking, we got in thirty minutes later. Secondly, I expected there to be much more to see, but it was essentially just one room with stained glass- which don’t get me wrong, was breathtaking- but we didn’t stay there very long. If you are into cathedrals/churches then I’d recommend it.

  • 5/5 Florencia Sellanes M. 2 years ago on Google
Highly recommended. 30 minutes visit. There is a magasin inside and you can have a guide if you want. Also, I recommend to make a reservation.

  • 5/5 Gabriela I. 2 years ago on Google
The amazingness of it is difficult to describe it in words. At entrance is an airport like security gate before being allowed to buy the tickets. Buy the ticket only- it will save you time and no need to wait in queue. Prepare to be left speechless by the colors and architecture. Enjoy 🗺

Possibly the most beautiful place in Paris. You walk into a small chapel with a beautiful ceiling and incredible stained glass window, which you think is awesome. Then you go up stairs and get blown away! The entire top half of the walls is stained glass - rich blues, reds and greens. Just stunning. You need to book in advance (online) and join the queue for your time slot. It's a small place so you may wait a ten minutes but it means you will have space in there. The area may look blocked off with police (next to the Palais de Justice) but show your tickets and they'll let you through.) You are welcome to take photos. There a public toilets before you leave.

This is one of the best most beautiful churches in the whole world. The stained glass is so beautiful to look and it is all around you in the chapel. Although you don’t spend too much time there because it is rather small, it is definitely worth the price and the line because it is just amazing.

  • 5/5 Jason Z. 1 year ago on Google
While you plan your trip, check to see if there are any concerts here. It was such an experience to witness gorgeous music in the chapel for a couple of hours. Not only is the room gorgeous, but sitting in there for its true purpose of reverent music and worship, was incredible!

  • 5/5 Himantha A. 1 year ago on Google
The church is quite small in size, but the interior is glamorous as ever! We had to wait in a long queue for about half an hour and was doubting whether the wait was worth. But the interior & the stained glass windows were just breathtaking and justified the wait. The sight it creates when sunlight peeps through the stained glasses is just beautiful. The spiral stairway to the upper level is narrow, hence you have to climb up carefully. It is a must visit place if you are in Paris.

  • 5/5 Haleigh S. 6 months ago on Google
Beautiful!!! But but your ticket in advance! We didn’t and waited over an hour to go in. But so worth it! They have these cool plastic boards you could grab and carry around that explained each section of glass and the history of the chapel.
