Had a great experience. All exhibits open (June 22) Stood a few feet away from lions rhino and giraffes. Was amazing. Park layout is innovative and imaginative. Animals well cared for place is ace! Have the kids fill out the form and get a medal ! Good value for money.

It opens at 9:30am and it was so nice to be one of the first in, the animals were pleased to see us, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Special mention of Harrison, who served us at the gate and later in the shop. A shame the Lions aren't here, would have been nice to see them laying around 🤣, but we were told they'd be back in May. Still plenty of animals to see and things to do. We'll be back.

Went on 09.05.2022 week day so was very quiet, single carriageway from Norwich and got stuck behind a tractor. Large play area for children, you can watch them play whilst eating your lunch. Food is reasonably priced but you can bring your own. Toilets are clean and round the back of the cafe. Zebra train does have silent trips. Takes 15 mins to go around. Lots of walking involved as the animals have very large enclosures which is great. Board walk was a little boring as we didn't see any wildlife. Would recommend as there are different animals to Banham Zoo. The zebras, giraffes, rhinos, ostriches are all in one enclosure. Lonely cheetah and a pride 5 lions their own enclosures. We spent about 3.5 hours here and managed to see and do everything (even a train tour), daughter had a little play in the park. Mini golf is free.

A great day out for the family and couples for a reasonable price. For me and my partner, we paid £16 (£8 a ticket each) due to the fact we are students. These were afternoon tickets, meaning you can enter the zoo from 2pm - 5pm. By having 3 hours at the park for £8 each, I would consider that pretty reasonably priced. The park itself is very spacious and has many animals to look at. The animals all look very well cared for and have some amazing, large habitats that they can roam around in. My favourite animal at the park would have to be the giraffes or the lions. On site, it would be better if they could have more food stalls open on these afternoon tickets as the only place to buy food and drink was right at the front of the park as all other stalls were closed. Toilets at times were also pretty dirty, but lots available throughout the park. Gift shop is stocked with some nice souvenirs and toys for kids and the staff here are all very friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a zoo and having a nice fun day out, I would recommend Africa Alive.

This was my first time ever visiting a zoo. It was an amazing experience. We had the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the animals there (not the lions, they were antisocial and slept most of the day). The kids who I saw visited were enjoying themselves petting some of the animals. I would definitely recommend families to visit here. I have a lot more photos but I uploaded the ones I still have on my phone.

Great experience. Me and my family were delighted with the place. Huge carpark, the Zoo also huge, with plenty of seats, tables, green areas, food and drink. Amazing place to spend a day with the family. All staff were very friendly, smiley and polite.

Great zoo! I have a lot more pictures in the camera and will download once get chance. We had kids age ranging 13-1. They all enjoyed it there. Went there for Easter weekend. Only downfall is that the restaurant only serves pizza and Salads. My kids don’t like pizzas at all. So went to nearest McDonald’s for the meal. They have mini golf , Which kids really enjoyed. The weather was nice so all the animals were out. Giraffe, rhino, snakes, zebra, ostrich, buffalo, sheep, goats, cheetah, owls, parrots, flamingos , meerkats, hyenas are some of the animals we enjoyed.

This was sort of a hidden Gem. The entrance doesn't do it justice. Once you drive in the gates and right down to the car park you get a sense of the scale. You get very close to the animals, Such a variety. Kids loved it. The restaurant & Park was also great. Highly recommend.

Perfect day out for little ones. We were visiting yarmouth for the weekend. Parking is easy, easy to find the place, lots of choice of things to eat and drink. Took our 2 year old he loved exploring and pointing at animals. All the animals seemed happy and relaxed. I haven't been since I was a child, so taking my son was a nice way to return. Relatively inexpensive compared to other zoos. Would recommend taking wellie boots if its rained.

We visited here during the summer holidays. The kids loved it. You can easily spend the whole day looking and entertaining the kids. Very open and never felt over crowded. Customer service was great too and reasonable price for tickets. I look forward to going again soon.

The kids loved it. The set up of the zoo made it easy to see the animals up close. The outdoor play areas were open along with the several places serving food and drinks. Although the walk through area with the ring tailed lemurs was still closed due to covid concerns. Toilets were awful my son refused to use them and the could have better signposts but all in all a good afternoon out.

Africa Alive is a fun place to visit with the kids, in our opinion it is missing elephants and crocodiles or hippopotamus. It has pretty much everything else though and it is a pleasure to visit, both our kids had a great time despite the weather. Unfortunately the online booking system was not working so we were left on hold for 20 minutes only to be told to just turn up whenever you felt like it. The price was abit steep but it's not something you do everyday. Overall I would recommend this place however it has room for improvement.

Absolutely love it here !! We visited 4 years ago and loved it, visited this week and found it equally enjoyable. It was a shame the lions were not there, but still a great place to visit and I would highly recommend it. ( Lions currently at whipsnade whilst their enclosures is fixed and updated ) Great activity for children to do on the way round ( top trumps) they get a top trumps card and then a medal at the end. Lovely cafe and a brilliant shop with lots of variety. Will be back again at some point 😊

Great day out. The talks we saw were informative and the staff are brilliant. The lemur enclosure was our favourite as you are in there with these amazing creatures. The only negative was that certain concession stands were closed and the jumping pillow in the play area wasn’t open. Having paid the peak season rates I would have expected the full offering to be available. Overall a great day and we will be returning in the future.

An amazing day out for all the family. I've never been able to get so close to these majestic, safari animals. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There's also a great play area and a land train. Lots of picnic benches too, meaning that it doesn't have to be an extortionate day out.

We had a really great experience here at Africa Alive zoo. From the minute we stepped out of our vehicle in the car park, we could hear the zoo 'buzzing' with lots of noise from excited school kids (old & young) and a few tourists whom I understand were on a day trip to the zoo. The weather was also nice & sunny, and atmosphere in the zoo was indeed 'alive' and busy. We enjoyed the train tour round, and special thanks to the wonderful lady ( I believe her name is Angela) that took on the task to inform & educate guests on the various animals during the tour. She made us feel very welcomed and relaxed, even helping us take some of our family moments together while waiting for people to onboard the train. I learnt one of the animals during the tour (either the Giraffe or Rhino) was named 'Charlie' owing to being born around the time / week of King Charles's coronation back in May which i thought was cute. Otherwise, most names of the animals given were of African origin and depicted what part or country of the African continent they came from which I thought was really impressive & educative. The buntins used in decorating the Lion's kingdom were also made out of African prints which is a very nice touch. Most guests tend to miss this part as I was told, but there's a nocturnal section were 'night animals' like the Aye Aye, Advark and certain Bat species are housed. It's quite dark in there and might be scary for some, but they're trying to recreate the ' natural night environment' of these animals. We managed to spot the Aye Aye which crept out just as we were about to leave the nocturnal house after waiting minutes of looking for it in its shed through the infra red lights. There's a really nice play thing like a giant bouncy pillow or balloon that the kids could play on and they really loved it. There's also a mini golf area with a giant giraffe statue in the middle and it's also reasonable in price, i think about £1.50 per person. Restaurant was also animal themed with another giant giraffe, lion and lemur as the centrepiece which i thought was very creative and looked cool. There is also an ice cream kiosks closed by, including another kiosks for hot snacks and drinks conveniently positioned at certain corners in the zoo. Very helpful if you need to eat without walking all the way back to the main restaurant. Clean toilets and extra wide walk ways to see all animals with seating benches distributed at every corner which was helpful to rest the legs. All in all, a great fun day out as a family. Loved every minute. Thanks again Angela.

This is probably a little unfair as a review, as it's winter in an African themed Zoo; Price☆☆☆☆☆- Were super reasonable, 21 quid for 2 adults probably the best out of all the zoos in the area, especially considering its variety of endangered animals. Guest Facilities☆☆☆- some were shut due to it being mid week/winter which is completely fair. Toilets were clean and standard. There is a restaurant, we didnt go in but looked fine. There seemed to be a lot of animal talks around the zoo, assumingly for busier periods, which again is fine. Bins were a little sparce, especially on the north side of the zoo. Education☆☆☆- Boards and reading information on every exhibit. Zoo keepers didn't really interact much which is neither here nor there really, but is nice when they do. Animals☆☆☆☆- I was actually super excited when i saw the amount of rare animals advertised, it definitely has the best collection of endangered and different animals in the area, and of any zoo i've visited so far. The only problem really was not being able to see the animals, mainly on the north side of the zoo. A lot of animals were in their sleeping enclosures (it being winter) some of them had windows you could see into, but the buffalos/deer species and lemur species did not have this. So there was a few empty habitats, which is to be expected since its winter, but more viewing areas would be great! The south side where the smaller animals are was very good though. The animals all looked healthy, a little tired maybe but again, it is VERY cold today. Habitats were all clean and reasonably large though. Accessibility ☆☆☆- I'm a part time wheelchair user. It was 98% accessible, the park is very flat so nice and easy to get around. Though a lot of grass that sometimes we wanted to cut across. Ramps for most viewing areas. Most of the north of the zoo is gravel pathways which were a little bumpy and uncomfortable. Viewing areas with doors were manual, as they usually are in zoos, so little assistance is needed with those. Overall, nice big zoo. My first time going, I believe we didn't get to see it at it's best due to it being winter, which is to be expected with animals that prefer the warmth. Loved the quirky selection of animals. Gift shop was good, not full of random crap like other zoos. Had a REALLY good selection of quality plushies (personal preference, but it's rare these days) Staff encountered were polite. Would recommend going in the summer :) 🦓🦏🦒

Lovely zoo with free entry for Blue Peter badge holders. We went on a damp and cold day, but still had lots of fun. Some of the walks might be a bit too uneven for wheelchair users and prams. The land is a bit inclined and the woodland part can get muddy.

It was pretty good. A nice day out; friendly and knowledgeable staff and keepers; lots for the kids to do. The food offering was pretty lacking, though. Especially annoying that they'd shown chips as gluten free on their website, but when we came to get lunch they weren't as they were in a shared fryer. I was pretty annoyed at that, and the staff I spoke to weren't very confident about allergens. A major point of frustration was the land train (aren't all trains on land, though?) which said it was running until 3pm, but made no reference to last ride times, so when it came in at about 2:53 and they said it was closed there were a bunch of people turned away, and some very upset kids. The sign should show last ride times so people don't waste their time waiting.

Absolutely brilliant place. Lovely, open central field for several animals. All of them look cared for & comfortable! Lots of conservation work happening too, from signs around the place. Found it in 2018 by accident but will happily drive 2.5hrs to visit it & then Southwold. So peaceful inside too!

Such a fantastic day out! Wonderful variety of animals, well laid out and very clean. Really helpful and informative staff. Lovely to be able to be so close to the animals. Love this place and in a idyllic location for locals, holidays and general day trippers. The place is very big and I'd recommend taking own food and drinks as very expensive! The site is very well maintained and very clean 👌🏻. Truly good zoo to visit. P.s petting zoo is also perfect to get up and close to the goats 🐐

A fantastic day out, the grounds are huge and really immersive with the mixed giant enclosure in the centre full of Giraffes, Rhinos and Ostriches and much more. There is actually a perfect view where you can look out over the lions on your left and see Zebra grazing not far away at all, an amazing place. There is also a really beautiful long walk around the outskirts of the park as well as plenty of places to eat and even crazy golf. The eating places have been renovated since we went a few years ago and are now really airy and open inside, reasonable prices and the pizzas are HUGE!

Wow, great prices for an afternoon visit. Lots to see, staff were very friendly and interactive towards visitors, even if you didn't approach them. Some of the amimals were sleepy as they had been fed but was nice to see them close up as none of them were hiding. Will definitely go back for another experience and visit in a morning slot. It is a little more expensive but their was more interaction and talks.

It is a good place to spend a good couple of hours. The lion enclosure is brilliant, there is a viewing platform where you are able to see them clearer rather than through the fencing. The planes of Africa area enclosure is large and gives good example of how these animals would interact in the wild (although on a much smaller scale). It was an enjoyable morning, I would have loved to have seen the cheetahs but unfortunately the enclosure was having maintenance works, so they are not available to view.

This is a great place to visit. A leisurely stroll around the park with a light lunch took us 3 hours. It's a really good clean park, with a great variety of animals , that have really good enclosures. Highly recommended, and a great price too. ( unfortunately, I had so much fun I forgot to get my camera out as often as I would have liked lol )

Lovely medium sized zoo. Very friendly staff. Animals have lovely enclosures and seem very well cared for. They have a couple of Lions, some giraffes, including an 8 week old baby when we were there. Loads of Rhino, Zebra, a couple of Ostrich. Lots of smaller animals. Meerkat feeding is worth seeing. Very pretty well kept site. Small play area for kids, restaurants, ice cream etc. Didn't seem that busy for a Sunday in June. Would recommend a visit.

The girl on the front kiosk was really nice and friendly. There was a male volunteer in the sheep/lemur enclosure who was a bit too much, kept following us about and making us feel uncomfortable like we was being watched. The park was near enough empty which was a positive. Only paid just over £10 a ticket on groupon so it was worth the money to have a little walk around and see the animals but I wouldn't be interested in returning.

We had a fantastic time at Africa Alive. From start to finish, it was amazing. The highlight was a Meerkat encounter, where we were looked after by Faye, an obvious animal lover who was very informative and made our experience extremely special. We're planning our next visit and can't wait to return. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Africa Alive Zoological Reserve is a remarkable zoo that offers a diverse range of attractions. The layout is quite spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring numerous intriguing features that make the visit truly enjoyable. You can expect to see a captivating array of animals, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of primates. The reptile exhibits are equally fascinating, housing a collection of reptiles from different corners of the globe. Bird enthusiasts will delight in the diverse bird species on display. When it comes to dining options, the cafe is a pleasant spot to grab a meal. Additionally, the park offers a plethora of different eateries scattered throughout its grounds, ensuring that there's something to satisfy every appetite. Moreover, there's a fantastic children's play area where young visitors can have a great time while parents take a break. Whenever I visit Norfolk on holiday, I make it a point to bring the kids to Africa Alive because we all derive so much enjoyment from it. I wholeheartedly recommend this zoo to anyone looking for a fun and educational experience. What's more, you'll find ample parking available, and the crowd levels are typically manageable, ensuring a stress-free visit.

Great day out for all the family. Parking easy. Lovely cafe for hot drinks and a great selection of food. All animals looked well cared for and happy. Quite an unusual collection too. Huge inflatable pillow for the kids to play on while we had our paninis and coffee. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, we watched a few of the feeding sessions and talks. Enjoyed our day out very much and was worth the entrance fee. We spent at least 6 hours here. The kids loved it.

We have only lived in Suffolk for 18mths and this was our first visit. The weather on Sunday was great and as it was my wifes birthday her son and fiancé came up and we wanted to do something different to going to the seafront. There is a good selection of different animals and birds etc to look at. It is a fair walk around the park and took us over 3hrs excluding our break for some food. The meerkats are as usual entertaining to watch. Our partners both loved the "bat eared fox" which I admit was quite cute. We will probably go again next year when hopefully some more restrictions will be lifted and we will be able to watch the animals feed!

First time I'd been here today, but overall very impressed. It is quite a small zoo but that isn't always a bad thing as some zoos can be absolutely knackering, but this is probably a good happy medium. There is still a good variety of animals and things to do/see. My main criticism is the lack of toilet facilities. Even though it is quite a small zoo, with so many visitors it could do with more loos to avoid those massive queues and 'uncomfortable moments'. However, the staff were very friendly, it was clean and well prepared during COVID-19 lockdown easing, and the experience with the animals felt quite up close and personal. Would definitely recommend!

This is a great day out. There are loads of animals to visit and the staff we saw clearly cared for the animals welfare. There is a lot to see, so definitely take time to enjoy the whole site. There is some room for improvement in the quality of food and coffee in the restaurants, but still a great day out.

Nice little zoo to visit with our toddler daughter. The cheetahs were quite active and the giraffes entertaining to watch as they were being fed. Rhinos and ostriches fairly active too. Disappointed the lemur walk through was closed as daughter is always entertained by them. Baby monkey very cute to watch. Big, clean enclosures, full 360 access around giraffe/rhino enclosures and lions all resting near the fences, so lovely to see them up close. Nice touch to receive blue light card discount. Food hit and miss on quality, but appreciate the children's lunchbox option as a healthy lunch. Unfortunately not much seating near restaurant and some of the seats were covered in bird poo. Not enough toilets - queuing for unisex toilets isn't great with young children who don't have the bladder control to queue. Playground VERY popular.

The animals have great enclosures and are clearly cared for. The park itself is in a lovely setting. Plenty of information on the animals, and even during the Covid restrictions, they were able to put on a small display and give a talk about some of the animals. Cafe is ok, but if we went again I would probably take a picnic as for the prices, the food feels a bit lacking. Overall, a lovely day out.

This is Banhams zoos ugly sister dont get me wrong the animals are excellent and the lion enclosure is fantastic. The overall visitor experience is poor there is practically no shelter if you want to eat or drink the toilet situation is dire start queuing before you need to go I know covid 19 makes things awkward but I was more worried about catching other diseases in the toilets the cleaning staff are obviously still firloughed. These are difficult times for all so management needs to step up and stop letting the animals alone keep the zoo going

Really well kept zoo, with authentic African dance/song demonstrations with audience participation(!) during the summer period. Rhinos the big draw for me, kids loved the goats. Free train like sister zoo, Banham. Food in restaurant excellent by comparison to many such venues (including Banham). Only negative were wasps near food outlets. Most importantly the animals all looked content and looked after well. Revisited a few times since and always enjoy, naturally things are a little different with Covid precautions, which are well managed (as with sister zoo, Banham)... really good to see they have survived, if struggled, thru the lock down 👌

Lovely to see the wild animals so close up. Easy to socially distance there, although there wasn't a great deal to do, kids, aged 10 and 14, had been around the whole park in 3 hours. Probably better suited to young children. My daughter was delighted that she could get in for free with her Blue Peter badge!

The 1st thing you notice when you arrive is the HUGE wind turbine in the car park (it's impossible to miss it!). The park is well laid out with good viewing areas all around the enclosures. The central shared enclosure is vast & you can see a good number of communal/none predatory animals together. The open air displays in the arena are fun and informative with a variety of animals that take part. Good overall selection of animals and birds & lots of smaller cute animals for the children to watch as well. An enjoyable time was spent there (we stayed about 5h). Remember to book your arrival time to help with current distancing measures.

Lovely zoo, lots of animals to look at. Have a really interesting talk show/ display that has birds, goats, birds of prey, porcupines in. Childrens play area, food and drink outlets. My only critiscism is that there wasn't enough maps around park to show where you were. Spent 30 mins looking for toilets. Only one block of toilets near the entrance so if you are at the other end of the zoo you have a bit of a walk so make sure your not desperate.

Had a wonderful day. Well worth a visit. Shame didn't get to see the Lemurs. they had notices to say why and totally understood

We saw a recent video from the Zoo informing on the safety of visitors and Covid. Really delighted and felt safe so we booked a time slot last weekend. While we were there we booked a Savannah tour. This was out of this world experience which we can only recommend as a must do.

Been here today, we as a family had a good day despite the terrible weather. We all enjoyed it from age 5 to 42. Is easy to get round and see the animals. Has the best lions we have seen in any zoo. Have been before today and will go again.

Decent zoo and a good day out, not the better one out of the group as Banham offers more of variety of animals at the same price.

Great day out. Lovely place for the animals. Nice food outlets and plenty of places to eat your own packed lunch. Places of native conservation. Something for everyone.

Was lovely to visit and walk around, the show was lovely to watch too, even with the very naughty porcupine. Lots of spacious enclosures for the animals.

This is one of the best places to see African animals up close. Had a great day and all the areas looked really clean. The Owl and Falcon display was fantastic. Would visit aging

  • 1/5 Michael K. 3 years ago on Google
Nothing was open. I know we are difficult times but prices go up for closed attractions and kids now put off zoos. Waste of time and money.

Had an amazing day out at this zoo today. A one way system is used throughout the park. It was lovely to see all the animals on a less busy day. What made the trip so special was the African Amimal show that runs twice a day, it was great to see some fantastic animals showing natural behaviour as well as getting some information about them from the keeper. We will definitely be coming back again, as well as their sister zoo...Banham zoo.

Disappointing visit. Paid full price but half the place is closed due to COVID/off season. Felt a bit ripped off. Couldn’t see half the animals and the half we did see seemed absolutely bored out of their minds. This is the first zoo I’ve been too in decades as I generally don’t like the concept, but this place did absolutely nothing to change my views.

  • 5/5 Karen R. 3 years ago on Google
We went even though the weather wasn't great but still had a great time and most of the animals were still out despite the rain. We had a really great time

  • 2/5 Amy S. 3 years ago on Google
Was lovely to be able to be so close to the animals but not much to do, a lot of them were locked away so could only see behind the bars and we had done the whole park in just over an hour, a lot of money for what’s there!

  • 5/5 Jim J. 3 years ago on Google
Great day out with the family. Covid19 safety measures are in place and I had no concerns with the measures in place. Can get some amazing photos of the animals especially the lions

  • 5/5 Louis C. 3 years ago on Google
Animals are obviously look after really well and the number 1 priority is treating them well. Human view and entertainment comes second to that which is they way it should be.

We went on a great day, not too hot and not too cold but it seemed all the animals were asleep. The Zoo is still nice & pleasant but I dont think it can ever justify the price of £22. I also recently became disabled & use a wheelchair but I'm yet to receive PIP or my Blue badge so I couldn't get any discount for myself or my carer. & the food there is an insane price, more than a restaurant. I would take a packed lunch for sure. Keep a load in the car you can go back to at any time.

Very enjoyable day for us here! Well laid out and spacious! Lots of information signs about the animals! Even the goat with attitude (see picture) made us smile!

A lovely place to visit prior to covid . Have visited October 2021 and still very nice bit not as much going on . Look out for offers as standard price it very expensive 20 per adult 15 kids I think . Play area I would advise adult close supervision as there are drops and logged stair , very slippery if damp . Giraffes and rhino's spectacular, lions seem very happy too , though often asleep but that's what they do most of the time . Nice picnic area and the staff we met were peasant.

After a long cycle ride there we hopped onto the train with the bubbly highly amusing driver around the lower part of the site. Definitely a must if you’re short on time or with children. Leaving the rest of the time for the upper part of the site and refreshments. A freshly made sandwich with a coffee were both beautifully made, excellent service. Improvements could be a dedicated bike area. Staff friendly and happy to help. Only one keeper talk that day and we missed it. But a fabulous day and we recommend.

  • 5/5 John S. 2 years ago on Google
Great day out with the children. The site is spotless and very well laid out. There is a good variety of animals and they are very well cared for. Lots of picnic seating and play equipment too. Such a shame to see it is much quieter post-pandemic.

  • 5/5 Laura C. 2 years ago on Google
Fantastic day out. Recommend arriving in time for the first talk at 11. They host hourly talks throughout the day until 4pm where the zookeeper essentially bribes animals with food so you get to see them up close. Have never seen a giraffe less than a metre away before Africa Alive! And even without the talks, you get to see lions, lemurs, owls and wild cats almost touching distance. The £22 ticket price seems steep at first but we felt it was well worth it with the addition of free talks and the joy of being so close to the animals! There’s also a playground and mini golf in case you need more entertainment.

  • 5/5 Laura S. 2 years ago on Google
I love coming to Africa alive, the park is lovely and clean. It's one of those zoos that isn't too big but if you wanted to spend all day you could or just go for an afternoon. The staff are happy to stand and talk to you about any questions you have which is lovely to see and hear

The best zoo I've been to in England so far. The animals had space, the ground was well kept, we managed to see all the animals pretty close up which isn't always the case. The boys loved it. When you arrive do ask about the tours and the animal feeding times. We hadn't and missed a lot, though managed to run around to catch bits of it.

Great zoo, more animals than I expected, clean and tidy animals seem well cared for. Well worth a visit.

  • 4/5 Crazy S. 2 years ago on Google
Great place to go for the day, although it is bit expensive for what's there as some enclosures were empty and it's also not as big as some other zoos. Some areas feel like they could do with an upgrade as some enclosures seem a little small for the animals etc. However it was nice to visit to see the baby rhino, aardvarks and the storks in particular!

  • 5/5 Jay 2 years ago on Google
Lovely zoo, lots a animal to see and lots todo. I 100% advise people to go to the talks given by the keepers, they are very interesting and enjoyable. Petting the goats was a massive hit. I visited in December 2019 so I don't know how much has changed since. But we really enjoyed it.

  • 5/5 Richard C. 2 years ago on Google
A lovely small zoo in the centre is the main enclosure that houses rhinos, zebra, ostriches etc. The lion enclosure is being refurbished at the moment so no lions at the moment. We took the grandchildren ages 3 & 5 that enjoyed the day seeing the different animals on show. We rode on the zoo train and it has a playground to keep the kids entertained a bit longer. We took our own food & drink and their was plenty of seating to find to sit down and eat. We arrived at 10am and left at 3pm the grandparents were more tired than the grandchildren.

Went at the end of a family holiday. Blown away by the Reserve never experienced anything like it. So much space for the animals and the visitors. Clean and tidy. Animals well housed and looked after. Would 100% go again in the future and will also visit their sister park!!

Nice zoo. Café could have more choice of food. Animals all looked well cared for. Map was annoying to navigate, an interactive one on phone would be perfect

Lovely park. Shame the access for Mobility scooters is not quite sorted yet. As a Mobility scooter is low they cannot access the shop or enter and exit like everyone else. Also disappointed that because we paid on the door we didn't get the tickets for banham zoo not everyone wants to pay online for things. But we was super happy to find a couple dairy free ice-creams that our daughter could have as she has a allergy so that made her day.

Purchased an excellent value £10 ticket. Lots to see and although busy, there was no feeling of being crowded. Food was reasonably priced (pizza) and served in good time. Gift costs are on the high side, but aside from this a great day out for families.

  • 4/5 Eve S. 7 months ago on Google
Went on a hot day so some of the animals were not very active. Kids enjoyed the bouncy pillow and digging in the sand. Zookeeper talks were good, without them day would have been quite short as not a big park. Ice creams seemed expensive.

Lovely day at a fantastic zoo with my parents. Topped off with an excellent rhino experience! Really friendly staff and keepers. Highly recommend!
