Japanese restaurant

👍👍 Imoya is a great Japanese restaurant on Saipan. It is pretty popular and I always run into someone I know there. They have great ramen and often have a good set menu to go with it. The atmosphere is nice and the servers are friendly and fairly attentive. I sometimes forget it is there but it's a gre... People often mention good,

Terrible. TWO of our orders came SO LATE. Apparently, they gave it to other people that came before us. To make it worse, we ordered another katsudon right after I received my ramen, and even THAT came before the late orders. Lastly, we found MINI PLASTIC HANGER in our dish. This was my first and last visit here.

It's one of the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants on island. Menu are priced higher than average casual Japanese restaurant in Saipan but reasonable. The place is best for dinner and small talks since it's cozy, not crowded, with nice staff and good food.

I love the Japanese food. We really enjoyed eating there. The food are great. And very clean and staffs and the owner are very friendly with a big smile.

When I stepped in to check my temperature, the owner talked to another Korean worker disrespectfully, mentioning me (Probably he didn't know that I understand Korean). Maybe I was sensitive, so I asked all my Korean friends about it; they all agreed he was rude talking that way in Korean just because he thinks the customer doesn't understand. So service wise, it's not recommended. Other than that, I ordered four dishes of food, was okay, I ordered Sashimi salad, but they gave me Sashimi set :/. I didn't complain cause I was running out of time. I think they can do much better next time. Planning to revisit cause really, their food taste good.

Only recommendable for the cozy, authentic izaka-ya atmosphere. For coming to sit at the bar and have a couple drinks, it's not bad. But the service and food range from poor to mediocre at best. Based on those two things, this place isn't worth their prices. Kuri-ya, another izaka-ya on island (Middle Rd.) is more popular and has a better reputation for good reason.

Food is ok but service is pretty slow. You want to have a good eat, order in advance.
