One of the few remaining ancient Chamorro structures left. Wish there was more information about the significance, it got some information from an old sign on the ground.

It is said that the statue was made to resemble Taga's actual size... I'm sure it's just a legend, haha. It was fun to listen to the story told by the guide.

Impressive feats of architecture on display here, no large mammals to move the stones Into place that weigh in the 5-10 tonnes range rumored to have been constructed by TAGA a former chief Chammoro with superhuman powers...someone had to get those giant stone situated for the base of the wood superstructure and all the locals had when the s was constructed was simple hand tools and physics...WOW maybe a superhuman or two did construct this chieftain house. Let your imagine wander and enjoy the peaceful quiet history around you in this place of zen of balance and even some mystery too!

Just amazing, I had no idea they were building structures this large. Seeing these in person definitely will stay with me forever as a feat of engineering.

One of the oldest historical sites on Tinian. With just one Latte Stone left standing. That was made by the ancient Chamorros Chief Taga of Tinian.

Largest standing lati Stones in the Marianas. Ancient Chamorros used the Lati Stones as house pillars. Beautiful and peaceful place.

Very important spot per Chamorro culture and history. As with almost all sites in the CNMI this place is not well maintained.

Even after being hit with the destructive force of yutu the 1 latte stone still stands. A representation of the natives steadfast nature. Less trees but still a sight to behold.
