The
Grotto
is
a
great
place
to
snorkel,
though
entry
to
the
grotto
and
exit
from
the
water
is
a
bit
tricky,
so
I
would
recommend
tourists
go
with
a
guide
company
(we
went
with
Saipan
Adventures
who
had
both
Korean
and
English
speaking
guides).
We
saw
several
different
kinds
of
fish
near
the
back
of
the
grotto
at
the
entrance
to
the
ocean.
The
water
is
clear
and
warm
with
little
surge,
but
watch
your
head
if
you
go
towards
the
back,
the
cave
walls
are
sharp
and
surge
can
push
your
head
up
to
them
quickly.
Being
inside
the
cave
helps
to
keep
sunburn
at
bay.
We
saw
several
scuba
divers
there,
but
we
were
told
it’s
not
a
beginner
dive
spot
(apparently
at
least
one
beginner
diver
has
died
there,
so
listen
to
your
dive
guide!).
Make
sure
to
leave
some
energy
in
your
legs
for
the
100+
stair
climb
back
up
to
the
parking
lot.
Non-slip
sandals
would
be
a
good
idea
too.
